Morning all,
Just found this thread I hope I can join,
From LMP im due 18th October
This will be my second! Nervous this one, complete and utter shock! Another "pill" baby 🙈
Hope everyone is okay! Xx

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 06:38

Hello! Pregnant with our second. First is 18mo girl. From LMP my due date is 31st oct. Got a private scan booked in for when I’m 7+6. We had one with our first and then told family after so we’ll do the same this time.

IaminRome · 20/02/2023 07:05

Oh lovely more scans! I'm so glad the little beans are in the the right place and doing what they should!

I just got 3+ on clear blue, five weeks tomorrow, so I think that's a good sign. Never did this many tests with my first!

LWestYorks · 20/02/2023 07:07

Morning! Anyone suffering with vivid dreams? I am terribly to that point they are waking me and I’m really struggling to get back off, the dreams aren’t nightmares but just very odd.

EMcG3 · 20/02/2023 07:09

@HistoryFanatic - couldn't agree more. Formula was a great choice for my family last time around and will do the same this time around.

Smoking and drinking in pregnancy really isn't my jam, though.

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 07:27

@LWestYorks yes! Omg I’m absolutely exhausted. I had a dream last night I banned my family from seeing my first baby because they wouldn’t watch my little girl for 2 mins whilst I fed my horse 😂 I do have a horse so that part isn’t too weird but I am definitely not the type of person to use my child as a weapon 😂 apparently pregnant dream me is though! She’s ruthless 😂

other symptoms are bloat and wind which is exactly what I had with my first. If this pregnancy goes the same way as my first then I think I have about 1 more week of feeling ok before the sickness kicks in until I hit 17 weeks!

ukMummyof1 · 20/02/2023 07:30

I'm so confused, I had a faint positive on Saturday so waited 48 hours to test again so have just tested and there's still a line but it looks even fainted that the other one😓

Bee1994 · 20/02/2023 07:31

I’m feeling SO sick all day and night, even had to call in sick to work today because I can’t even move 😩 I’ve tried eating little and often and just eating plain snack food but nothing’s helping. Does anyone have any more tips? I think I’m going to have to call the doctor for help

DSP21 · 20/02/2023 07:33

Not that I’m obsessively peeing on sticks (I am) but i got my ‘2-3 weeks’ on a digi today so I can relax (for now)! My period would have been due today so the digi sticks must definitely be more sensitive than they let on

ukMummyof1 · 20/02/2023 07:38

I forgot to add a photo to the last message! It might actually be just as dark as the other one but I thought it would have been darker by now? Could it be a chemical?? Xx

@HistoryFanatic no there isn't, but to say you would breast feed but can't be arsed to feed yourself good food so your baby gets the nutrition from breast milk is my point

VictoriaBlossom · 20/02/2023 07:55

@EMcG3 I have no issues with formula, but my point was that she said she couldn't be bothered to be healthy. I personally would just say, yeah I'm feeding formula.... not I'm feeding formula because I can't be bothered to be healthy to breast feed.

VictoriaBlossom · 20/02/2023 07:55

@ukMummyof1
How many dpo are you x

ukMummyof1 · 20/02/2023 07:58

@VictoriaBlossom 11dpo in the top and one 13dpo in the second (that's if my dates are right). Never had a chemical before but so worried!

HistoryFanatic · 20/02/2023 08:06

To be fair in the late stages of pregnancy and the hectic days of newborn sometimes you can't be bothered to cook healthy.🤪 I will judge the smoking and drinking though!

VictoriaBlossom · 20/02/2023 08:13

@HistoryFanatic maybe I'm just sensitive then 😂 I just hated her attitude. just say you're using formula, rather than continue with over sharing the reason.
I was a formula baby because my mum had blood transfusions after I was born, so I have no issues with formula... like I said just the attitude made me feel a bit frustrated

IaminRome · 20/02/2023 08:37

Oh come on it's too early in the thread for judgements. Let's just let this be about supporting each other and not casting judgement on other people's parenting/ feeding choices 🙄 it's really not in the spirit

OrionNebula · 20/02/2023 08:53

Scan this morning at 11:20. Nervous 😟 obviously nervous something is wrong and also about the possibility of twins which is much more likely at my age (39).

SnookyPook · 20/02/2023 09:34

Morning all! May I tentatively join? Got my BFP this morning after holding out until missed AF! Think my due date is 31st Oct so will probs actually be a November baby if like my first 😜 Still very early days but cautiously enjoying the moment 😊

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 09:41

@SnookyPook congrats! Think I'll be due 31st Oct too. You did better than me at holding out to use the digital 😂

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 09:43

@ukMummyof1 I think those strip tests aren't as sensitive so if you're only 13dpo then you're still pretty early to be using those tests. I didn't use those tests at all this time round but with my first I didn't get a strong positive on them until I was about a week late on my period so 20+ dpo.

buckingmad · 20/02/2023 09:48

@Bee1994 I wish I had the answer. I felt like that from about 5 weeks to 17 weeks. My advice is find the thing you can eat/drink and just stick with it. Maybe take a good multivitamin but otherwise the aim is to just get through the day. For me that was mcdonalds nuggets and coke. I had one almost every day but at least it meant I got some food in me, then I could nibble on other things whereas if I tried to eat healthy I just couldn't eat anything and then being hungry made my sickness worse and I was in a vicious circle.

I used to wander round sainsburys just picking up whatever I fancied. Little and often helped me, I just grazed rather than meals.

Jealousofchiliheeler · 20/02/2023 09:48

@ukMummyof1 that looks similar to the strip test result I got at 13 dpo, attaching for comparison.
I never get very strong lines at the start, only getting dye stealers now and I'm 19dpo.

Hello, I'm new on here. I tested positive 4 days ago. This is my first pregnancy. I am surprised that calculators say due date 27th October. I thought it would be beginning of November. Anyway I'm already having symptoms. Heavy sore breasts (I'm sure they look bigger already), feeling hungry alot, cramping and weird feeling in my stomach. But the worst and I'm dreading this is the insomnia. Please does anyone have any advice. I fall asleep quick but wake up like 1.30. Or 2 or 3. Once I wake that's it, can't get back to sleep. My work is 12 hour shifts and days or nights. So I'm absolutely dreading this aspect.

ukMummyof1 · 20/02/2023 10:09

Thanks everyone! Just worried as writhing 48 hours it seems to not have changed, did this happen to anyone else and then al of a sudden get darker?
