@C1umsyGiraffe & @positivethoughts1 I had one about 26 weeks for slight spotting , I've got to still have my 28 week one this evening though. Don't really understand why I need it again? I've had it explained to me a few times but it's confusing lol.

Had my bloods done for it last week and I asked why and the midwife said to check my antibodies aren't going up to much... I was like, welllll I have just been injected with antibodies (anti d) so can you differentiate between mine and the ones in the injection and she said no 😬 so I don't really understand how they can check for a rise since my last bloods? Maybe it's if it looks too risen or something.

I found it stung quite a bit like the whooping cough vaccine but not too bad.

The joys of having a negative blood type!! Constantly covered in blood test bruising haha

C1umsyGiraffe · 23/03/2023 14:08

@Belami isn't it! I've got 3 plasters on my arm from today alone 🤣 since pregnancy I also bleed loads when they take bloods so that's fun every time!

firsttimelondonmummy · 23/03/2023 15:06

How big is everyone now?
I don’t really know how I’m measuring up given I don’t have any pregnant friends living near me.
Mum seems to think I’m massive? Said she was my size at nearly full term.
Baby is measuring average 🤷🏻‍♀️
Also please ignore my awful pyjamas 😂 my mum gave them to me as all mine no longer fit 😭

I've got enough tiny baby/ nb/0-3 to last a few days or so. I've learned I can get someone to nip out and get whatever size is needed once we know how big baby is before .
Also picked up some prem stuff this time just incase. Will donate them to nicu if the twins stay put.

I don't think I'm that big for 28 weeks with twins, but get lots of comments about looking ready to pop.

Mine today at 28+4. They measured me yesterday and just said I was measuring correct for number of weeks. Feel like by the end of the day I'm so stretched! It's now a chore to get socks on 😂

DrinkingAllTheGin · 23/03/2023 17:40

@firsttimelondonmummy you in no way look like you are at term. Your mum must be miss remembering.

Leaf86 · 23/03/2023 18:03

Thanks @BellaTheDarkOverlord and @PurBal 🙏🏻

dresslol · 23/03/2023 18:25

@C1umsyGiraffe i’ve got a growth scan on Monday, my bump was measuring small, a cm below the ‘ok-but-small’ line.

I read up a bit on the growth scans and loads of people commented that they measured large and the baby was small/average and others who measured small and their baby was big/average.

The external womb measurements are pretty inaccurate and used just as a guideline, I’m sure all will be fine, I’ll cross my fingers for us both!

dresslol · 23/03/2023 18:30

@firsttimelondonmummy you don’t look big at all, your mum is forgetting the reality, no one’s bump looks that small just before having a baby (unless premature).

dresslol · 23/03/2023 18:32

Forgot to say, thank you @PurBal for your summer baby list x

Kelvie103 · 23/03/2023 20:23

I'll be 27 weeks on Saturday and looking absolutely huge all of a sudden. Every time I eat dinner I feel so bloated and uncomfortable. On holiday at the moment so probably eating a bit more than usual but the past 2 nights I've had to have my husband pull my jeans off (and not in the good way 😂) as I just can't bend down to reach. Bit worried I'm feeling like this already. Not had my bump measured yet either as my appointment was supposed to be today but was told to go 2 weeks ago instead and my midwife said that was too early to measure.

firsttimelondonmummy · 23/03/2023 20:43

@Kladebs @BellaTheDarkOverlord you look amazing mamas 🥹❤️

@DrinkingAllTheGin that’s what I thought!

@dresslol I’m glad I’m not delusional and it’s her that is 😂

Tbf to her it was 32 years ago now haha but she is aggravating me by keeping telling me how big I am 🙄

C1umsyGiraffe · 23/03/2023 20:47

@dresslol that's comforting to hear, thank you! I've heard from everyone around me that measurements don't mean anything, just hard not to feel self conscious about it! Let me know how it goes! Good luck to us both!

C1umsyGiraffe · 23/03/2023 20:48

@Kelvie103 this is the same situation I'm in! Told my midwife today I'm really struggling to tell when I'm hungry then I eat and I'm so bloated and full! It's so uncomfortable in the evenings :( feel so stretched!

Zaalfruit · 23/03/2023 21:28

@firsttimelondonmummy omg you don’t look full term at all !!

@Kladebs you don’t look big at all for someone carrying twins . Ignore the people that say you look ready to pop .

I am struggling so much this time round - acid reflux and round ligament pain . I am also finding the kicking quite painful . I haven’t brought any sizes smaller than 0-3 months - I just feel I will have a huge baby this time last baby at full term was 6lbs and she felt lighter inside me. I have gotten a gtt test three times this pregnancy and no gtt as my bump is measuring big.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 23/03/2023 21:56

Has anyone downloaded a k8ck counter app yet? There seems to be loads but if you have a recommendation, it would be great!

pippabg · 24/03/2023 18:19

I also measured big at my 28 week appointment @C1umsyGiraffe. Midwife wasn't too concerned and thinks its because I'm tall, so have a long torso. Still it's protocol for them to refer me for a diabetes glucose test, but I only had one 4 weeks ago! Can GD just come on all of a sudden? If that's negative, then they'd refer me for growth scan. Kinda wish I could just go straight to the scan though.

@dresslol I agree with what you say about the measurements being so arbitrary!

pippabg · 24/03/2023 18:23

I've got the Kicks Count app as it was recommended by my NHS Trust. Its not the most sophisticated, but you record sessions of movements rather than individual movements, which I think spares my sanity a little. It means I'm not getting obsessed and distracted by every individual kick! If I feel a group of movements close together, I count it as a session, but wouldn't record a random, one-off kick. It's just what works for me!

dresslol · 24/03/2023 18:24

@pippabg hope your GD test goes ok, I’m sure you’ll be fine, the measurements are so arbitrary.

I just had a couple of days where I felt absolutely exhausted, could not wake up, could barely stay awake, went to bed early and tired, and then today I felt back to normal (ish). Has anyone else had this? I’m 29 weeks.

Zaalfruit · 25/03/2023 04:52

Does anyone else have an anterior placenta here ? I just need some reassurance that the kicks feel a little bit duller always . The whole kicking thing is always sending me into a frenzy.
I have my last scan on Monday and then no more till baby is here :( taking my husband to this one as he hasn’t been able to attend a single one due to child care.

I have woken up in a panic as I haven’t purchased a towel for baby and last night I was getting lighting crotch . I just thought if I go into early labour I’m screwed . Nothing is ready !!

PurBal · 25/03/2023 05:59

@Zaalfruit I know what you mean about the kicks being dull but also painful. I’ve also been worried about earlier labour, weird. I hope that’s not the case as just booked to visit family in Europe (all last minute and unexpected) flying at 33 weeks if I can get my fit to fly note. 😬

PurBal · 25/03/2023 06:00

@Zaalfruit don’t worry about not having stuff ready, there’s nothing you can’t get at a 24 hour supermarket or on Amazon Prime.

Ally1992 · 25/03/2023 06:49

@Zaalfruit I have an anterior placenta and the movements have been really dull the last couple of days, I think he’s moved as I have had other days where I feel them strongly, how many weeks are you?

ImHopeful2023 · 25/03/2023 08:06

I know how you feel @Zaalfruit I'm same with anterior placenta somedays feel loads of strong kicks other days back to twinges

Poppy9876 · 25/03/2023 08:15

just found out I have covid yesterday, thought I just had a cold since Tuesday. I’m 30 weeks and paranoid that baby is not moving as much as usual. I’m probably just being overly anxious, and maybe baby is just having a quiet day or got into a different position. Any one else have covid during this pregnancy? I’m fully vaxed and already had covid twice before!
