I've treated myself to a shein haul this evening. I'm getting a bit tired of the same 5 outfits! I've not used the site before so hopefully I have the right size.

PurBal · 23/02/2023 22:08

@tigerlily0 Royce Lingerie.

Spinner12345 · 23/02/2023 23:29

We’ve gone for the discounted fox 3 too, can’t justify the extra cost of the 5

Kelvie103 · 24/02/2023 07:44

@tigerlily0 A second vote for m&s bras here! Not tried them before but I went for a free fitting a couple of days ago. The lady was very nice although told me off for wearing underwires while pregnant as she said it could damage the breast tissue. She just recommended normal non wired ones and I have to admit they were so much comfier. She said if I was planning to breast feed to come back 2 weeks before my due date to get fitted again for nursing bras as I'll probably do some more growing. Also ordered a couple from Next as they had nicer colours but not tried them on yet. I've never had big boobs so it feels strange to have them now!

tigerlily0 · 24/02/2023 08:02

@Kelvie103 yea I like M&S I have a couple slightly padded non underwired bralets. Just wondering if I should get nursing ones now and I'm planning to bf. Did u get normal non underwired ones?

Kelvie103 · 24/02/2023 08:42

@tigerlily0 yeah I just got normal non wired bras. She said come back for another fitting around 2 weeks before my due date for nursing bras as I'll probably be bigger again by then. I just got these from m&s
https://www.marksandspencer.com/3pk-non-wired-t-shirt-bras-a-e/p/clp60536825?color=OPALINEMIX

But these ones were so soft and felt amazing I might get one too https://www.marksandspencer.com/non-wired-plunge-bra/p/clp60545581?color=WHITE#intid=plpnav_pid_pg1pip48g2r23c1 just didnt want to spend a load before I have to buy nursing bras but my current bras were starting to leave dents in my boobs!

PurBal · 24/02/2023 08:46

@tigerlily0 with DC1 my breasts got bigger once my milk came in (3 days post birth) and I had to buy yet more. My breasts are too big for my normal bras (well, post DC1 ones as my pre DC1 ones haven't had a hope of fitting for a while) and too small for my nursing ones at the moment (just a lot of gaps).

tigerlily0 · 24/02/2023 09:26

Thanks guys Il have a look today, I have their super soft tshirt bras which are similar. Il wait for a bit later for nursing bras

summerpoolandsun · 24/02/2023 10:23

I got some non wired nursing bras from sainsburys which I thought was a good double up. When I went to M&S they said you need a maternity bra and nursing bra…it’s only 3 more months, I’m not wasting money on two sets of bras!

Pushchair wise we are thinking about Joie or Graco…money is tight right now and we don’t want to be spending more than about £200 on the pushchair. Luckily we are townies so we won’t be off-roading it that often…

For the ladies who have had IVF and mixed response about induction, I will update with what my obstetrics team says in a few weeks

C1umsyGiraffe · 24/02/2023 10:33

I'm so lost when it comes to Prams... we live in a city but there are a lot of cobbled roads so still needs to be sturdy. I'm looking at Joie Versatrax at the mo, but might also see if there's a Bugaboo Fox 3 and a decent price as I really like them.

I also went to M&S and just got one nice supportive one. Otherwise I'm using non wired bralets from Primark, but my boobs have grown but still not huge so it's comfortable for now! M&S also told me to go back at the end of my pregnancy to get measured for a nursing bra ☺️

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 24/02/2023 10:34

Just had my midwife app at 24+5. She's so lovely. She said my placenta is under my right ribs hence why I'm in pain there. Says baby is measuring high too so also under ribs instead of outwards.

I enquired about csection and she said with my risks they should definitely say yes to it and it'll be a lovely calming experience with doctors already ready and radio on. She checked urine and my preeclampsia not back yet but she's going to now have me in every 3 weeks to check blood pressure so it didn't start until 36 weeks last time suddenly. I have a growth scan beginning of April at 32 weeks and they'll check if the placenta is in the wall of the uterus again. Once I have the scan for the placenta I'll make decision over csection or not. I think I might take csection anyway because of the bicornuate uterus as I know baby will be running out of room towards the end. Baby is in same horn as dd1 was so the scarring from placenta accreta will be there which might cause it again so I'll have to wait until next scan to see if it is. I asked DH and he says he wants a C-section to control the risks.

We're still trying to come up with names. DH has a first name but I'm not 100% yet. I need a middle name too. Dd1 has my name as middle so not sure what to give this one.

Happinessandrainbows · 24/02/2023 11:50

@C1umsyGiraffe we got fox for £650 x

C1umsyGiraffe · 24/02/2023 11:53

@Happinessandrainbows that's really good! Where was that?

Happinessandrainbows · 24/02/2023 11:56

discountbabyequip.co.uk/ @C1umsyGiraffe

Babybaby66 · 24/02/2023 12:10

@Happinessandrainbows @C1umsyGiraffe i also ordered fox 3 and a cybex cloud car seat from here and seemed like the best deal I found anywhere. It’s already arrived super quickly so can recommend!

C1umsyGiraffe · 24/02/2023 13:00

@Happinessandrainbows @Babybaby66 that's great to know thank you! They do seem to be the cheapest places for prams but glad to know it's actually trustworthy!

@summerpoolandsun yes please, I still have 2 weeks for my midwife appointment where I will mention ELCS for the first time. Would be helpful to know what feedback you get from obstetrics team.

Kladebs · 24/02/2023 15:15

I'm still wearing my pre pregnancy underwired bras 🙈 I do need to get more though, they definitely don't fit well.

@BellaTheDarkOverlord im still looking for the boys middle name. I can't think of any. Might just do what I did with the eldest 2 and not use one x

ImHopeful2023 · 24/02/2023 15:43

Anyone have joolz travel systems ?

toomanysausages · 24/02/2023 16:19

@BathshebaEverdeen My situation isn't quite the same as yours but I now have a date for my elective c section. At my booking appointment I mentioned anxiety around having a natural birth (I suffer from anxiety in general). I had a phone call with midwife a few weeks later where and I mentioned tokophobia and NICE guildelines. At 18 weeks I met with a nice consultant. The consultant said that she wouldn't try to change my mind but that I needed to be aware of the facts regarding c section. The meeting was went well and she gave a me date for my c section, which is one week before my due date. Consultant also said that if I go into labour before this That I should still be able to have a section provided I don't turn up pushing baby out!!! NICE guidelines very helpful - good luck!!

BathshebaEverdeen · 24/02/2023 18:25

@toomanysausages Thanks, this is very helpful.
It never occurred to me mention it before to midwife.I was so anxious about crossing the steps in front of me and now I feel like I am not prepared for what is next.

I have read through NICE guidelines and they were very detailed and informative. I have been reading on the risks for C section so that I am ready for future discussions as well.

I will raise this with midwife and hope I get a consultant who agrees to it xx

@summesummerpoolandsun I'm glad you mentioned that it's been a while since you've had sex. I've been too frightened to do it since we found out we were pregnant! I had bleeding and spotting throughout early pregnancy/first trimester, so was so worried about making it worse/it coming back. Had some more light bleeding at 20 weeks (baby seems fine) and then last few weeks I've had thrush! Its just getting longer and longer and my anxiety is getting so bad that I just don't want to do it at all, but I feel a bit ridiculous because most other pregnant women do it! I'm just scared of making anything worse - I know it's safe, but anymore bleeding would make my anxiety worse, so it just doesn't seem worth it!

HalWin2221 · 24/02/2023 19:34

@tigerlily0 bit late to the party but I got these: www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/emmajane-zara-maternity-nursing-bra-e6092.html

they go to a B-F so don’t have to worry about size! They are really comfy, all I wear now & it’s buy one get one free 😊

summerpoolandsun · 24/02/2023 21:40

@pippabg I totally understand your feelings on it. In the grand scheme of things not having sex during pregnancy isn’t that long…though I think in our ten year relationship we haven’t really gone without having sex for longer than 3 weeks other than this. Still we’ve found ways round it. At the risk of being too explicit, we have made each other orgasm from mutual touching, which has been fun and reminds me of when we were in the early stages of our relationship ie first base, second base etc 😂I feel so much more relaxed just touching each other as I know it won’t cause me to bleed and I just don’t need that worry. …I hope that isn’t TMI!! X
