Stupid question, what is a green book?

@RandomCatGenerator it has all my pregnancy notes in that is filled out by the midwife

Rutennotou · 09/01/2023 13:56

@babybrainfart I got mine at my 12 week scan x

clouise30 · 09/01/2023 13:59

Hi all - can I hop in 😊? 14+4 today and due 6th July. Second little one but feels like a first as my DD is about to turn 15! Hope all of your pregnancies are going well! X

Rutennotou · 09/01/2023 14:01

@Amyp1234 I had two big bleeds just before Xmas, was 12 weeks at the time. Scanned at EPU both times and baby is fine! Couldn't find a reason for it, happened me in my sleep both times. I was prescribed progesterone to take up until 16 weeks and told to take it easy. Just had a little bit of brown spotting here and there since x

rach971 · 09/01/2023 14:43

@pizzawinecake Definitely! Every day feels like a week. I want to get to the point where you can feel the kicks. I'll feel more reassured then

leanneb94 · 09/01/2023 15:08

Had my 12 week scan today and all went well! Has grown so much since our early 9 week scan that we had. Have my due date as the 16th July and measuring 13+1 which is 6 days ahead of what we thought and the 9 week scan so growing well!

I really loved the kicking with DC1, really looking forward to that too :)

Ours is yellow 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

@pizzawinecake I also feel like time is so slow, especially because I'm behind everyone at only 11+1 today😮‍💨 I also have no idea whether I have much of a bump yet or not because I have a high bmi(32) and already had a lot of stomache projection. I think I must have something though because I've got 2 in there and I've also noticed my belly button is slightly wider.

I've been using my garmin app to track pregnancy, it claims the second trimester starts at 14 weeks, and that this week I'm carrying small limes! Also anyone else have a crazy amount of sensations in their lower abdomen? I've been having stretching, light cramping, muscle twitching, sharp pains around belly button, lightning crotch, and even what feels like someone drumming on a random spot occasionally.

septembersapphire7 · 09/01/2023 19:23

I got the dreaded call from my combined test to say high risk of downs (1:40) today.. been processing that and thankfully my trust do nipt on the nhs so have booked in for the blood test. I think if results are still high after that then will need to have a serious think whether I want more invasive tests or not.

I am 38 so assumed it was my age, but my NT was 1.2 so must be the blood tests? They didn’t give me the specific results, just the risks. pregnancy is hard!

rach971 · 09/01/2023 19:24

Well just to add to my worries I've just wiped and there was bright red blood :( barely any, but still :(

Getinajollymood · 09/01/2023 19:28

That’s a worry, @septembersapphire7 . we have the harmony test booked for Thursday, it costs £400 but is non invasive if you would be able to consider that.

septembersapphire7 · 09/01/2023 19:45

Thank you @Getinajollymood (your name made me smile🙂)

the harmony is the same as the Nipt I think- looks for fetal dna in the blood and looks for downs/edwards/patau syndrome. I’ve booked bloods on Thursday with fetal medicine so I guess it’s just the agonising 2 week wait for the results (everything always seems to take 2 weeks with conception and pregnancy!)

Getinajollymood · 09/01/2023 19:49

My name needs to be ‘said’ with this face 😐😐😐 to get its meaning 😂 I was not full of Christmas cheer when I name changed!

I think harmony is similar then. I had it with DS as I was 40 when I had him and I am now 42 so I know I’m high risk for downs or other defects - just hoping that all is well. I haven’t really let myself think about it too much but one of the reasons I wanted harmony sooner rather than later is because if I do have to make any awful decisions it’s better to do so quickly.

I really hope your news is positive Flowers

Bit late to the party but joining!

@candycrush789 it's the beginning of the 13th week that the 2nd trimester starts 😊 I'll be hitting 13 weeks on Wednesday 🥳

Yes loads of weird sensations! Almost like bellyache a lot of the time but stretching as well and I know what you mean about tapping!

How are you now? X

rach971 · 09/01/2023 22:12

@squirrelnutkins1 Thank you for checking in ♥️ Feeling worried. Been no more since, apart from one little bit that was barely noticeable. My booking scan is Wednesday but I've booked a private scan for tomorrow. I'll drive myself mad otherwise. Found out at a private scan last time (about my mmc) and it's so much better finding out that way than at hosp and coming out and seeing a load of happy pregnant women. Just got my fingers crossed that all is okay :( I am on progesterone and I believe that can irritate and cause bleeding but I'm almost at the end of my dose so I would have thought it would have caused issues before now if it was going to.

Hjudge56 · 10/01/2023 07:51

Hey lovelies .. I’m having a bit of a moment!

I have had such strong symptoms since seeing that line on the stick (sickness, sore boobs, fatigue, nausea, heightened taste) etc. I am now between 11-12 weeks and all my symptoms have just suddenly gone. My scan is tomorrow but I’m freaking out that my hcg has stopped producing and baby won’t have grown :( has anyone had something similar and all been okay?

Nadinya · 10/01/2023 08:22

@rach971 It's so scary isn't it. I've had a bleed two nights ago and called the midwife who said everything sounds okay. Debating to book a private scan as well.

@Hjudge56 The placenta starts taking over during that time! The second trimester can be quite nice due to the lack of symptoms! Nothing to worry about. Good luck on the scan!

SkyBlue20 · 10/01/2023 08:53

Woke up and had a bit of blood on wiping 😢 I’ve had some brown discharge on wiping for a couple of weeks now but today was definitely red. Very very little but then next time I went to the loo there was a lot of brown, hoping it’s nothing but can’t help but worry. I have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning, so guess I’ll wait until then but just really really hope all is ok, I can’t handle going through another MMC.
I did have one occasion of a small bit of blood at 8weeks with my daughter (and with my MMC) and with my MMC I lost all symptoms early on whereas I still have them now, so trying to focus on the positives.
God pregnancy is hard!! 🙈

@Hjudge56 I wouldn’t worry too much - as @Nadinya says, it’s probably just because you’re getting towards the second trimester now and things should start to get a bit easier. When I lost mine with my MMC I was much earlier. Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

Good luck with your scan today, @rach971, let us know how it goes.
