@Perexi I had wondered about it being PF too. I got upset in case it means I can't run but only hurts after not moving then putting foot on ground. Walking and running ok so fingers crossed

Yeah sounds like it but maybe not too bad? Hopefully it stays that way. I've done lot's of stretching today and making sure not to walk barefoot on the hard flooring!

havanamama · 21/01/2023 19:37

Thank you all! All very cute pram suits !

Deut28 · 21/01/2023 19:45

I looked back at photos of DD and she was in either the thick snowsuits or a furry pramsuit throughout March and April. I think it was quite a cold spring that year and Covid so lots of socially distanced walks. I also found they were useful for putting her in the sling. If you mostly drive everywhere then cardigans and blankets are better. They're not meant to wear snowsuits or coats in a car seat.

iratepirate · 21/01/2023 20:18

We have a cuddly coat suit and a waterproof one, iirc. They’ll be in a carrier or sling as we don’t have a pram.

Choc2022 · 21/01/2023 21:45

@havanamama I'm a ftm so not sure how useful but I have 1 furry pramsuit and 1 jacket, its padded with a fleece liner and what I'd consider a cold spring jacket but not sure what I'll do for the leg area. March and April can still be a little cold so I figured I'd be safe.

Babynum2 · 21/01/2023 22:43

Due 5th and I have 3 snowsuits different thickness for each just because I will be doing school run early morning walking and will be very cold they feel it more than us. Just depends on how much your planning on taking LO out I guess.

Room4onemore · 21/01/2023 23:09

My oldest is 16 now but he was born on 3rd March and it snowed the next day so I always buy one just incase

I’m sure I pulled a muscle or something in the side of stomach last night while turning over in bed, it now hurts when I laugh or cough

JB2021 · 22/01/2023 07:58

@Perexi please can you link me to the exercises you've been doing

TeddyBeans · 22/01/2023 09:29

35 weeks today and I'd forgotten about the joyous late stage pregnancy symptoms 🤣🤦‍♀️ middle of the night leg cramps and what is with the drooling!? Still, we've had two 35 weekers on the FB group and I'd like to get past that if at all possible...

Going through my birth plan with my midwife tomorrow. Never thought I'd be able to write water birth on it so that's a bit of a milestone for me. Hopefully my BP stays low enough when I stop taking the aspirin next weekend for it to stand a chance of being reality 🤞

Babynum2 · 22/01/2023 09:34

@TeddyBeans is it restless legs? I've had it for weeks it ls so annoying and my DP suffers with it all the time so we are a right pair at night!

Perexi · 22/01/2023 09:44

I've been doing a mix of these and drinking turmeric tea as apparently it's the only antiinflammatory allowed in pregnancy 🤣

Very exciting milestone! Only a couple of week's till full term 🥰

TeddyBeans · 22/01/2023 09:55

@Babynum2 No not restless legs, I do get that pretty much every day but find a hot bath helps a lot!

OP posts:
TeddyBeans · 22/01/2023 09:57

@Perexi she doesn't feel big enough to be almost full term 🤣 I feel like my bump is tiny compared to DS's. My last growth scan said she was 5lbs 3oz though which is not a bad weight for 35 weeks 🤷‍♀️

Babynum2 · 22/01/2023 09:57

I've had restless legs every night as soon as I get in bed and heart burn really bad so I'm not sleeping properly at all which then means I'm like a zombie everyday!
34 Weeks today this was when DS was born DD was 36 weeks so I'm hopefully hitting a milestone baby best stay were he is!

Yeah hopefully she'll pop on a little more weight and stay settled in there for a while longer!

I have nothing to go on but my mum thinks I have a typical boy bump, hopefully get to see his face later at our 3d scan 🥰

havanamama · 22/01/2023 10:31

My hospital maternity wing had a suspected terrorist attack attempt a few days ago, which now has made me a bit uneasy 😬

alotoftutus · 22/01/2023 10:33

@havanamama what!!!! That's insane! The positive thing is security and intelligence will be higher than ever around the hospital and area so you will be super safe xxx

Yes, crazy though! I feel bad for the patients that had to get evacuated or moved.

TeddyBeans · 22/01/2023 11:09

@Babynum2 definitely recommend a hot bath! And get yourself some omeprazole for the heartburn - I haven't had a jot of heartburn since I started taking it

@Perexi oooh hope he plays ball for you at the scan! 💙

@havanamama that's terrifying! I agree that they'll hype up security for the next couple of months but I'd definitely be on edge. Is it too late to switch to another hospital?

@TeddyBeans I could but I only have 1 other option and I already had swapped from there to this one. I'll ask my midwife what happened if this happened when I am in labour or delivery.

Thank you to the ladies that mentioned buying stuff from Vinted - I just got a waterproof pramsuit for 1£(!) in case it's cold in March.

Ended up scrolling Vinted, and there's so much good stuff!

Ubbee · 22/01/2023 15:31

I’ve bought some lovely woolly cardis on Vinted recently too - such a treasure trove!

Im 35 weeks tomorrow too! And only 4 more weeks left at work. Getting excited now!

Is anyone else going for another vaginal delivery after previous 3rd degree tear? I’m still trying to decide whether to go to birth centre or labour ward and what to have in my birth plan.

Cuppasoupmonster · 22/01/2023 16:18

@Ubbee i didn’t have a third degree but I had a huge episiotomy to make room for the equally large salad tongs 😂 if I’m being honest their repair job wasn’t good and has left me lopsided (the only way I can describe it) - I was actually hoping that if I need stitching again they can do a better job of patching it up this time. Is your birth centre attached to the hospital or a stand alone? That would be the key factor for me I think!

How scary! I saw that in the news that everyone had to be evacuated. Who does that especially to a maternity ward ffs 🙄
