Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

Oh no @Dia12 ! Is it worth doing another just in case it was a freak dud one?

OP posts:
Dia12 · 07/12/2022 22:05

Do you think you can get dud ones? I don't think I could handle doing another one!
I know it sounds silly but just the build up of having to go buy another test and see another blank 😞

AnnieApple123 · 07/12/2022 22:07

@Dia12 I totally, totally get what you mean. Just those three minutes waiting to see if a second line appears is horrible. So sorry it’s not looking promising. xx

Ah thanks @AnnieApple123. Fingers crossed for next month! Wishing you all healthy pregnancies xx

Nic2908 · 07/12/2022 22:27

@Dia12 that sounds like the worst. I really hope that you are ok. You never know it might just be a dud. Give it a couple of days and see if aunt flow arrives if not do another test

Loudmouth1 · 07/12/2022 22:47

@TheBirdintheCave congratulations so pleased for you that everything has turned out to be amazing ❤️

Loudmouth1 · 07/12/2022 22:56

Has anyone got any tips or tricks to relieve toothache, had 2 teeth removed today and a filling after putting it off for months and paracetamol just isn't touching the sides

PumpkinEverything · 07/12/2022 23:20

@Dia12 oh I’m sorry 😔 I would try testing again on another test. Was the first one quite dark? It does seem possible that it could have been a dud.

@Loudmouth1 could you try holding a hot water bottle to your face? It’s so hard having to think about what you and can’t take 🤦‍♀️ Or could you ring and ask your GP what’s allowed?

Loudmouth1 · 07/12/2022 23:23

@PumpkinEverything I've currently got a hot water bottle and it's lovely but goes cold far to quickly haha I've also spoke to the doctor who said I could take a small dose of codeine which I'm absolutely not going to do I'm very reluctant to take any painkillers as it is I felt guilty taking paracetamol

TheBirdintheCave · 07/12/2022 23:40

@Loudmouth1 Ouch toothache is one of the worst pains :( I hope it gets better soon!

UsernameNotPresent · 08/12/2022 05:23

@TheBirdintheCave how are you feeling?

Sending healing vibes to all those with aches and pains.

I got my 3+ on clearblue digital this morning, very pleased with that. Can't wait for Saturday and early scan, hoping everything is in order (and that it's a singleton!).

Other than pregnancy insomnia and being very emotional over nothing, things are pretty ok here.

How is everyone doing?

For those with kids, when are you going to tell little ones about their cooking brother or sister? On one hand I want to give lots of time for my toddler to adjust to a new sibling coming, but on the other hand I don't want to tell it too early in case pregnancy doesn't go to plan.

Morning all,

Does anyone else feel all over the place at the min? Yesterday I felt amazing and then last night I felt like I was such a downer dull cramping like period pain just makes me so anxious and reminds me of the time I mc? It really is a rollercoaster of emotions!

Congratulations to all the new FBP! 👏

mollibu · 08/12/2022 06:45

Hi ladies, can I join?

6w3d today, due date 1st August according to NHS calculator and anxiety is through the roof. My boobs go from really sore to a little bit sore to nothing and then back to being sore! Had nausea all day Tuesday but seemed a little bit better yesterday, dry heaving/gagging at smells though (thank you to the person who heated up fish in the staff microwave)

Debating an early scan on the 19th December, would anyone recommend? I'd be 8 weeks at that point but I ovulated so late into my cycle I wouldn't be surprised if i'm a week or so behind that...I'm just so anxious all the time and half too anxious to even have an early scan but half would reassure me at the same time!

buttercupbee · 08/12/2022 07:09

@mollibu welcome! I’m due 1 August too but similar to you I also ovulated late so expecting that to potentially change. I have an early scan booked for 18 December when I’ll be 7+5 weeks. My husband and I debated it for a long time because if it’s bad news it could completely ruin Christmas. But even though we haven’t told anyone yet, I think family are going to guess if I’m not drinking over Christmas, so we would like some reassurance before then. If we don’t have the scan I’ll just spend all Christmas worrying so I’d rather know, even if it’s bad news. In terms of dates WTTW say you can have the viability scan from 6 weeks, so even though I think I’m behind where my LMP puts me, I’ll still be over 6 weeks by then

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 07:12

@UsernameNotPresent If I told DS he’d go blurting it out to everyone: ‘Did you know my Mummy has a baby growing in her tummy?!’ So it’s going to be a while yet…

Just went for a wee and there was a tiny tinge of pink when I wiped, so of course I’m worried now. Going to call for advice at 9.

@buttercupbee thanks for replying! I feel the complete same re ruining Christmas. Me and my partner are off to the canary's for Christmas for the first time and half of me wants to live in a baby bubble until we're back but another half of me wants that reassurance before we go!

WTTW is where we was looking at to have our early scan. I think I may just put on my big girl pants and book it!

jollydollyirl · 08/12/2022 07:44

Got it in words this morning 🙏🏽

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 08:01

Eeeeeek congratulations @jollydollyirl !!!

UsernameNotPresent · 08/12/2022 08:26

@AnnieApple123 he sounds like a cutie pie!
I've got fingers crossed for you, hopefully it's nothing re pink tinge.

mollibu · 08/12/2022 08:27

@AnnieApple123 I hope everything is ok! Flowers

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 08:32

@AnnieApple123 I hope everything is ok and that you get to talk to someone for advice xx

@UsernameNotPresent I'm ok. I had another instance of brown CM yesterday evening which just made me very anxious again but at least we've seen the heart beat :/ All I can do is keep taking the progesterone pessaries and hope it keeps growing :( It's going to be a very nervy time until the next scan on the 20th. Twelve days to go!

Glad you got your 3+!

Re telling kids. We told our toddler from the get go but he's really too little to understand what it means. We asked him if he wanted a brother or sister and he said he wanted biscuits so... 😂

sally16 · 08/12/2022 08:34

@TheBirdintheCave I told my toddler and he said 'oh no' hahahah he doesn't have understanding though so I'm presuming it was just a random chatter lol 🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 08:38

@sally16 They do have great timing with things they say 😂

buttercupbee · 08/12/2022 08:41

@mollibu I completely get it, part of me wants to live in a little bubble over Christmas but I don’t think I can wait until 12 weeks! It’s such a tough one isn’t it. Canaries sounds amazing though!

@AnnieApple123 i hope everything’s ok xx

@jollydollyirl congratulations!!
