Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

@TheBirdintheCave he has some developmental delays including speech so I was just happy for him to say anything 🤣

Chocolotandtea · 08/12/2022 08:50

@mollibu @buttercupbee i am also due on 1st august and have very few symptoms (sore boobs and nausea) which come and go so also feeling pretty anxious. I have an early scan on 23rd Dec xx

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 09:06

@AnnieApple123 hope you get some comfort - this is an absolute rollercoaster isn’t it. How do people enjoy being pregnant 🤣

mollibu · 08/12/2022 09:11

@Chocolotandtea ah exactly the same as me symptom wise! I honestly feel like I'm going crazy sometimes😂 pregnancy definitely makes you think about everything a little bit too much!

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 09:22

@AnnieApple123 hope everything’s ok x

@jollydollyirl congratulations!

buttercupbee · 08/12/2022 09:28

@Chocolotandtea @mollibu I don’t have many symptoms either except sore boobs and tiredness! No nausea at all yet 🙈

Recoba · 08/12/2022 10:04

Hey all, would love to join - due around 20th August with no 2. Lovely to see so many people all expecting!

I already have strong nausea but had (borderline) hyperemesis last time, so really not looking forward to the next 4 months, and hoping to get medication from the doctor soon. Also crashing out at 9pm! Still breastfeeding DS (2.5y), but apparently milk composition changes after 4m, so it's possible he'll wean around then.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 10:05

@Recoba Welcome and congrats! I can't believe we're getting due dates up to late August now!

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 10:28

@Recoba welcome and congrats!

LMM91x · 08/12/2022 10:45

Omg guys I’m about to go tell my best friend and I am already in tears just thinking about it 🤣🤣 god the emotion has taken over today i’m just so happy ❤️❤️❤️

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 10:49

@LMM91x aww what a special moment itll be❤️

Follycastle · 08/12/2022 10:49

Hi all, please can I tentatively join you all? Got a BFP this morning at only 10dpo - due date should be about 23rd of August. I’m only 3 weeks so very early days! Anyone else similar?

With my first DD I had horrendous exhaustion in the first trimester and slight nausea. So far, although it seems extremely early to have any symptoms at all, I have had quite bad nausea for the last three nights and diarrhoea for the last three mornings. It could be a tummy bug I suppose!

Aw lovely @LMM91x enjoy 😁😁

congrats @Follycastle 😊😊

PumpkinEverything · 08/12/2022 10:53

I am coming down with the cold and it’s making me feel a bit miserable. Not sure if there’s anything I can take for it, does anyone know?

Sjw30 · 08/12/2022 10:56

Congrats and welcome @Follycastle

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 11:00

@PumpkinEverything Just paracetamol I think.

@LMM91x Enjoy seeing your friend!

jollydollyirl · 08/12/2022 12:01

Congrats @Follycastle! I'm 3+4 so hopefully both of us can stick it out healthily!

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 12:05

Thanks everyone for your concern. I managed to get a call-back from a nurse impressively quickly and she didn’t seem worried. Didn’t mention any need for bloods or a scan. I’ve since had some light brown mucus though so not feeling very hopeful right now.

As you say @LMM91x it does make you wonder which bit of pregnancy is actually enjoyable! I was so looking forward to being pregnant yet all I’ve done since getting here is worry. I also feel bad for DS as I’ve been so distracted and grumpy.

Welcome @Follycastle and @Recoba . I’m also still breastfeeding DS who is 2.5, although we’re down to bedtimes only now.

My drs phoned to congratulate me today and said to try the cherry juice opposed to melatonin... which by the way is vile 🤣

Also said she had the referal from maternity so I should be phoned soon and said she will support me in going to a hospital in another trust 😬 has anyone went to another trust for a baby?

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 12:13

@AnnieApple123 I'm really surprised they didn't ask if you wanted a scan. I'm pretty sure they would see you if you expressed that it was making you really anxious. I hope the spotting stops soon.

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 12:33

@TheBirdintheCave I’ve called them back again and am waiting to hear. I was thinking they might want to check progesterone levels.

OP posts:
TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 12:36

@AnnieApple123 I literally begged for that last time but got nowhere. They just refused to do it. No idea why as it's far less invasive than a scan and it's pretty obvious to see if numbers are going up or going down.

AnnieApple123 · 08/12/2022 13:18

They’re still saying that pink or brown tinged mucus is normal at this stage and not a cause for concern.

I have however reinstated the scan I had booked for Monday afternoon but had cancelled. They still had the same slot available.

Meanwhile DS has literally spent the entire morning watching Twirlywoos.

TheBirdintheCave · 08/12/2022 13:36

@AnnieApple123 Ah I'm glad you could get that scan rebooked! Only a few days to wait now :)

Totally wrong of the EPU to say that. Even our sonographer yesterday said that whilst bleeding is common its not normal and that we were right to get it checked out.

mollibu · 08/12/2022 13:42

After joining this thread this morning I went to the toilet and had a small bit of pink tinged discharge. Not tons but enough for me to notice.

Called EPU who said they weren't worried unless it was red, enough for a pad or I was in pain which none of these things applied to me.

Feel a bit better as I've been to the toilet a few times since and not a trace of any pinkness! Anyone else had this happen? Could it be a bit of implantation?

Booked a scan for next Saturday now though just for a bit of hopeful reassurance.
