Can’t believe we’re onto a second thread already. Hope this doesn’t put any newbies off, as I don’t think we’re even halfway through possible due dates yet. Anyone welcome to join in.

I wanted to start off by reassuring TheBirdintheCave that I have no nausea either and had none whatsoever all through my last pregnancy. Thinking of you and hoping your current fears turn out to be for nothing. xx

@TheBirdintheCave Yaaaay! Wonderful news - so happy for you!

CityKity · 07/12/2022 18:42

Another thread already, amazing!

I sent a self referral form on Monday and like PP would love to have something (anything) in the calendar, because otherwise this whole thing feels totally surreal.

Symptoms wise I’m finding it hard to gauge what are real symptoms and what’s normal for me. I really tend to hibernate in winter so have been going to bed early, but that’s just the cold I think!
I do feel a little sea sick in the evenings and eating usually helps although I have lost my appetite a little.
Boobs are a little less sore, but still bigger (I think) and very sensitive nips.
Right now I’m happy that’s it, because I’m dreading feeling really rough. Also after staying I was hoping to keep up my exercise routine, I’m definitely more fatigued (similar to when on period) and totally sucked at my hiit class this week and my run was exhausting. I think I’m switching hiit for yoga and will see how that goes.

Mulner88 · 07/12/2022 18:47

@CityKity thank god I'm not alone with not been able to exercise. Fair play to you for attempting 😀 I said I would start back this week but tiredness has hit and especially after work I just want to lie on the sofa! Maybe I'll try and do a Pilates or something tomorrow but to be honest I can't see that happening 😂

UsernameNotPresent · 07/12/2022 18:52

Already got my appointment for 12 week scan and obs appointment. But first private early scan this Saturday.

I am crying at all Christmas ads now. Oh the joys of hormones 🙃

sally16 · 07/12/2022 18:53

I self reffered on Monday but I'm going to phone them tomorrow to check they got it.. I don't trust it's worked as last time I was phoned same day 😅 also have absolutely zero patience

PumpkinEverything · 07/12/2022 18:57

I feel the same @CityKity as being on my period. Completely drained of energy as if I’m low on iron or something, that’s how I describe it. I think the babies are just taking all our nutrients and leaving us with nothing 🙈

girlshelpxx · 07/12/2022 18:58

anyone else have on and off cramps that are VERY similar to period cramps, i keep getting them but there only lasting a few seconds i’m just really scared my period starts

MsRT · 07/12/2022 18:58

@TheBirdintheCave amazing news!! How are you feeling after your scan?

@TurkeyTrouble sorry to hear about your back. Sounds painful!

I’ve had my 12 week scan through (already!) and it’s on Friday 13th 👀🤣

MsRT · 07/12/2022 18:59

@girlshelpxx yup I am having these at the minute. Only one side too. Hoping it’s the baby making itself comfortable 🤣

elarcoiris · 07/12/2022 19:00

I received dates for my booking appointment (17 Dec) and 12 week scan (20 Jan) today. Im 6+4 based on LMP but am fairly sure I ovulated a week late so expect it’s actually less than that. Have also got a private scan booked for 22 Dec so we can work out whether to tell family over Christmas!

Has a discussion at work today about our Christmas party, which is on one of the train strike days, and have “begrudgingly” agreed to drive and give a couple of people who live near me a lift. Feeling pretty pleased with that outcome as now nobody will be surprised that I’m not drinking 🤣

LMM91x · 07/12/2022 19:06

@girlshelpxx YEP! I had it all day Monday was almost entering panic mode but it stopped. 🤣. I really need to calm down whatever will be will be eh!

WonderfulSummer · 07/12/2022 19:12

Really enjoying reading about everyone’s experiences!

Re self referring, I looked in to this today and have 3 really close hospitals to me. None of them have amazing reviews so should I just pick the closest? If I get a bad vibe is it easy to switch further down the line?

Sjw30 · 07/12/2022 19:17

I phoned today for a booking appt and the midwife calculated me to be 4+5 and asked me to ring back next week!

CityKity · 07/12/2022 19:23

@elarcoiris I’m so jealous that you managed to pull off the Christmas party so smoothly! Still stumped for what to do for mine. Either pull the Covid card on the day and not go, or just hope it’s so busy that no one notices what anyone else is drinking. We have a sit down team lunch that day which will be trickier, but I think I’m just going to say I don’t want to start too drinking too early.

@PumpkinEverything you’re spot on! I’m wiped out just like having low iron, which is ironic now that I’m taking more vitamins than ever before, so unfair!

DesertSnow · 07/12/2022 19:25

I self-referred online nearly two weeks ago and not heard a peep. When I submitted it said I would receive a letter in the post - slightly concerned as with the strikes I've not had post in weeks! Also waiting on some other stuff. I'll be 7 weeks in a couple of days so will wait until nearer 8 then might give them a ring.

LMM91x · 07/12/2022 19:29

@Sjw30 hey i’m 4w5d too 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I self referred Monday night online not heard yet just waiting! Are you having early scan?xxxx

ellie0605 · 07/12/2022 19:34

@WonderfulSummer yes it's very easy to swap so if you have no preference atm, I'd go for the closest!

Sjw30 · 07/12/2022 19:34

@LMM91x hey ☺️👋 we have one booked just before Christmas but will only be 6+6 as potentially would tell close family. I’m not sure if this is too early though. Have you?

LMM91x · 07/12/2022 19:37

Hahah @Sjw30 omg I have mine booked for the exact same day 🤣🤣🤣. I don’t think it’s too early, keen to know either way and tell close family over Christmas if its all going to plan! Just two weeks to wait 🤞🤞 I’m trying my best not to symptom spot and compare and just bloody breathe but my god its so hard. My mum is already sick of me texting her crap all day🤣

jollydollyirl · 07/12/2022 19:38

Hi everyone! Tentatively joining you all after getting a BFP on an internet cheapie this morning. After a chemical in August, it's hard not to be anxious so early! Due date would be Aug 21st, 2023!

Sjw30 · 07/12/2022 19:41

@LMM91x oh wow haha! Yes we booked with that plan too 😍 will be magical all being well!

Lalalul · 07/12/2022 20:09

Congratulations @jollydollyirl and welcome!

ChloeN · 07/12/2022 20:34

@girlshelpxx yep i had cramps that felt like period pain, if anything a bit worse!xx

AnnieApple123 · 07/12/2022 21:42

@girlshelpxx Yes I had a lot of cramping early on. There was a day when I was truly convinced it was all over. I’m now just over 6 weeks now and all seems to have settled down, fingers crossed.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Unfortunately I think I'm out already as I did a frer this morning at 17dpo expecting a darker line ....and was taken aback to find a stark blank bfn.
I had a good line at 14dpo....
My bbt and RHR are still elevated, no sign of spotting....but I guess it doesn't take long for all of that to change.
Feels really shitty - now waiting for AF to arrive.
