It still feels very early but I’m taking a leap of faith and starting a thread here.

Just found out yesterday that I’m due at the very start of August.

Anybody else yet?

@BusyBushBaby I don't think it could be late ovulation. I'm pretty sure I ovulated on CD17 and it can't have happened any later as we last dtd on CD16.

sally16 · 05/12/2022 18:10

@heand2022 Thankyou! I thought it might be ok!

@AnnieApple123 I thought that would be the case :( hopefully they can find me something safe to take instead, I didn't sleep for weeks at one point and ended up having a bit of a breakdown so I'm desperate to avoid it but I'm going to give cherry juice a try! It's worth a go anyway! Thankyou for that! And £200 🤢 I seen some on wowcher last pregnancy and were all London based and cheap! Maybe worth a check if you still want a scan 🤞🏻

@TulipVictory I'm 4+1 so I was shocked to even get a positive this cycle tbh let alone this early! Hopefully another brand will give you some reassurance!

Just seen window to the womb is currently £40 for reassurance scan! From 8 weeks if anyone is looking for a deal 🥰

Thanks! I checked window to womb earlier today and just now and it's Still coming up as £80 for me for Bexleyheath. Is it the one I'm Croydon that's £40, I live in Bexley so don't want to trek to Croydon! Please send the link or code if there is one for the £40 deal please!

sinloutox · 05/12/2022 18:57

Thanks all - I hope you don’t mind me still lurking 😂 but I’m really enjoying all your updates too - I feel invested!

@DesertSnow not patronising at all! I think because I kept testing and saw the lines get lighter/CB not progress it allowed me to accept it before it properly happened. However, next time I absolutely won’t be testing quite as much as I really was driving myself mad! Also I think that I’m just relieved everything works as it should and we can obviously conceive (we had 2 years with nothing after we got married though weren’t properly “trying” but we now realise it’s because I was about to be diagnosed with ulcerative colitis which took another 12 months to get under control and can massively impact fertility when active/flaring) so I feel more positive about TTC than I have before.

I’m a nurse and husband is a doctor which I think has helped us a little bit with dealing with it too. If this cycle doesn’t work out, we’ll start looking at fertility testing etc in the new year and decide whether that’s a route we want to go down as I’m not a spring chicken at 38!

sinloutox · 05/12/2022 18:58

I was also strangely relieved to start bleeding as it meant I would need medical management which I was worried might delay the next attempt!

also to those asking re DTD - we were also too scared to go near each other 😂 so looking forward to this “period” ending!

sally16 · 05/12/2022 19:04

@tallgirl232 it wasn't a code, must just be certain areas :( so annoying!

Mulner88 · 05/12/2022 19:06

In Window to the Womb Walthamstow it's £50 for a reassurance or viability scan. It's strange how it's different in different areas!

CityKity · 05/12/2022 19:12

@sinloutox Im so I’m awe by your attitude, I hope you’re doing okay. I would hope to have your attitude in the same situation. I’m glad you’re okay to go again soon next cycle. Everything crossed 🤞 for you.

Im in a similar to PPs, and haven’t DTD since conception! Tbh Im not feeling my best physically and feel super bloated, so fingers crossed I get my mojo back soon.

PumpkinEverything · 05/12/2022 19:33

Not going to lie, last pregnancy we didn’t DTD at all for 9 months 😂😂 I was honestly terrified after the MMC that something would go wrong, so despite knowing that it was completely fine I was just too scared that something might happen. Also felt too bloated and gross at the start anyway, which is also how I’m feeling now. I’m the same weight as I was before I found out a week ago but I feel like I’m looking at my reflection and thinking I’m huge 🙈 but I don’t think I’ll be going 9 months again this time 😂 I feel slightly more relaxed

Lalalul · 05/12/2022 19:33

@DesertSnow thanks! A dye stealer sounds like a good shout and will settle my mind. Will try to test every other day instead of daily though 🙈

somuchtolearnabout · 05/12/2022 19:35

heand2022 · 05/12/2022 15:38

@somuchtolearnabout just reading your comment has really eased my worries. Been testing everyday on my easy at home strips and the occasional frer I have but been obsessing over the lines. I had a chemical back in May and you're completely right. By this day the last time I was pregnant I was bleeding near enough everyday and in tones on pain. No bleeding, occasional cramps and the odd dry heave this time around.

You're so right, nothing is giving me indication that anything is wrong. Going to stop testing now and wait it out to my reassurance scan on the 22nd. Just wanted to let you know your message really resonated with me and made me feel better ❤️‍🩹

Thank you so much! I'm pleased it helped 💓

somuchtolearnabout · 05/12/2022 19:39

Omg @tallgirl232 I live in Bromley! I'm getting an early
Scan in Orpington it's £85

ellie0605 · 05/12/2022 19:39

I stepped away from this thread for a bit after I had a bleed last Monday. It's been a really stressful week with the whole house being struck down by a bad chest infection.

I have a scan tomorrow at the hospital because of the bleed and I'm so nervous about it!

somuchtolearnabout · 05/12/2022 19:42

We are actually DTD as normal and did through my other pregnancies until about 7 months when I was just massive and uncomfortable and I really couldn't be arsed.

Lalalul · 05/12/2022 19:46

@somuchtolearnabout this is reassuring and great to hear another perspective. Thank you! I didn’t realise you could pay for early scans but think I might book that, thanks. Would be nice to have that before Christmas so we can tell some of our close family.

buttercupbee · 05/12/2022 20:03

So glad to hear about other people not dtd as I was starting to feel bad for not doing it 🙈 we did it once in the tww but not since getting the bfp. I’ve been so tired that I fall asleep as soon as I get into bed and not really feeling in the mood!

@ellie0605 wishing you all the best for your scan tomorrow 💕💕

PumpkinEverything · 05/12/2022 20:08

@buttercupbee im honestly shocked at how tired I am. I keep falling asleep on the sofa every night and I’m barely getting any of the Christmas films I’ve started finished 🙈

good luck for tomorrow @ellie0605 hope it all goes okay!

Mulner88 · 05/12/2022 20:08

@ellie0605 the very best of luck for your scan tomorrow xx

PeachCottonTree · 05/12/2022 20:20

Wishing you all the best for your next cycle @sinloutox ❤️

I caved and ordered a pack of digital tests. Took one yesterday at 5+3 and got 2-3 weeks which is where my tests got stuck last time so feeling more nervous now. Trying to hold off using the other one for at least a week. I’ve not got many symptoms and last time I had more symptoms and over a week earlier too. Would just like to know one way or the other.

We’ve not DTD since finding out. Like @Mulner88, with my last pregnancy we had sex the morning my MC started. Probably a coincidence but feels too risky this time around.

buttercupbee · 05/12/2022 20:20

@PumpkinEverything me too! we have a log burner so our living room is really cosy, I just can’t keep my eyes open past 9pm 🙈

MaraudingMother · 05/12/2022 20:24

I've just put down the deposit for my private NIPT test. 6th Jan !

PumpkinEverything · 05/12/2022 20:40

I would be out like a light in that situation @buttercupbee 😂😂 I think the Christmas lights are making it extra cosy too 🙈

sally16 · 05/12/2022 21:03

So... work nightout this weekend.. driving now but I have zero excuse other than pregnant as I live a 5 min walk from the venue and 10 min walk from work so it's not even like I can say about work/taxi etc 😂

PumpkinEverything · 05/12/2022 21:12

Mine is on Friday @sally16 and I don’t know what to do 🙈 I think there’s only one other woman going and the rest are men, but she’ll so know as she’s already commented on me coming back to work pregnant and saying that I should 😂😂 like I almost want to not go to the dinner, but also I really like the restaurant and want a free dinner 🙈
