Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting on mumsnet, but have spent plenty of time reading through others' conversations for reassurance when anxious, and this seems like such a friendly place!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again after the miscarriage of my first at 11 weeks in August. I would love to connect with other people in a similar situation.

I'm feeling relatively ok, i.e. not totally panicked all the time, about this one, but I know it's going to be hard. I really find it hard to believe sometimes that this could work out.

Please send a comment if you're in a similar situation and would like to share/receive some support!

Hello everyone! Just had my reassurance scan at the EPU and baby is in the right place, with a strong heartbeat, and measuring exactly on track (7w1d) 🎉🥳🥰!! I was so scared for that moment, and so prepared for bad news again. I know that much could still go wrong, but am grateful to have made it to this point.

@sian124, you're definitely not alone when it comes to those negative thoughts. I've had a bit of a mental barrier and don't feel like I can let myself fully invest in the pregancy because I've been so worried that something will go wrong!

@Nervousbuthopeful, awww, congratulations! 🥰 It's incredible seeing those little fluttering heartbeats. 💓 Such a good sign that it was nice and strong, too! 😍

tulipsunday · 30/11/2022 19:02

@Nervousbuthopeful that's fantastic news very pleased for you 💖

sian124 · 30/11/2022 19:07

@Nervousbuthopeful that is lovely news!

squirrelnutkins1 · 30/11/2022 19:25

@Nervousbuthopeful great news! X

ChloeN · 30/11/2022 20:32

@Nervousbuthopeful what amazing news!!🥹💕

Beapo · 30/11/2022 22:06

Really glad to hear it @Nervousbuthopeful, happy for you 🥰

Nervousbuthopeful · 01/12/2022 06:40

Thank you so much everyone. I’ve joked with my DH that I should actually have a long checklist (I definitely already have a mental one!) of all that can go wrong in pregnancy, and then tick things off as they don’t happen 😂. Ultimately, it probably wouldn’t be a very calming exercise, but it is such a relief to be able to rule out some of things I feared. Fingers tightly crossed for everyone here still waiting for a first scan, and for all of us all through this process, wherever we’re at in it💗

Sadly I have started bleeding this
morning been referred to the EPU so waiting to hear what time I can go in. Hope it is today. I can't believe this is probably happening again 😞 had a bad feeling yesterday. Will update. Keep everything crossed for me please 🤞

Daniki · 01/12/2022 10:46

@tulipsunday I'm sorry to hear this, it may not mean anything and everything may be ok ❤️ thinking of you x

tulipsunday · 01/12/2022 10:51

Thank you @Daniki I am going in at 2:30. Bleeding stopped but I am laying down so maybe why. So sorry to see you have experienced two losses ❤️ How are you doing?

Daniki · 01/12/2022 10:54

@tulipsunday have you any pain? I’d say the wait until 2.30 is horrible. Glad to hear it’s stopped! Many women bleed in pregnancy and everything is fine ❤️ I’m doing ok, my doctor has signed me off work until after Christmas thankfully, couldn’t cope with the Christmas cheer in work to be honest 🙈 x

B1993 · 01/12/2022 11:08

@tulipsunday So sorry to see your update isn't a more positive one. As @Daniki said, plenty of women have bleeding and go onto have healthy pregnancies. I myself had bright red spotting/light bleeding this time around but, touch wood, everything has been ok. Hoping the same for your pregnancy! 🤞🏻🍀 Lots of luck for your appointment! Really hope everything is exactly as it should be. 💗

ChloeN · 01/12/2022 14:54

@tulipsunday so sorry to hear about the bleeding, praying you’ve been seen and everything is okay❤️

tulipsunday · 01/12/2022 15:44

Thank you @B1993 and @ChloeN sadly wasn't meant to be. Pregnancy sac there but no baby so looks like I was pregnant but the pregnancy didn't progress from the initial stage. They can't confirm the miscarriage yet - I have to go back in two weeks if not passed the sac- but as I am sure of dates it isn't going to be a happy ending 🥲 wishing you all so much luck for your pregnancies ❤️

Nervousbuthopeful · 01/12/2022 16:10

@tulipsunday I’m so tremendously sorry to read this! I hope the next few weeks are ok for you and you have lots of support.

@Daniki So glad to hear you’re off work until Christmas and don’t have to have those forced interactions.

Sending much love to both of you!

Just noticed brown spotting this afternoon and though I know it could all be fine/implantation etc can’t help but have that sinking feeling.

This is such an incredibly stressful and difficult process😣😒

@tulipsunday im so gutted to hear this I really hoped all would be okay😭 sending you lots of love xx

tulipsunday · 01/12/2022 16:39

@Nervousbuthopeful it really is a difficult process 😞 hang onto hope though as the signs are good for you! ChloeN thanks lovely 😘 @Daniki glad you are off work till Xmas. Take care of yourself x

Daniki · 01/12/2022 16:45

@tulipsunday so sorry to hear how scan went, please be kind to yourself and I hope you have lots of support around you ❤️

Atii · 01/12/2022 17:51

Last week when I went to 12 weeks NHS scan I realised my baby heart stop beating when I was 9 week and 1 day , I choose natural management I passed baby and sack 4 days ago and now I'm bleeding, I can't wait to TTC again , this pregnancy which ends by MMC was my first pregnancy, now I'm kinda nervous for next time , but I want to be positive :)

squirrelnutkins1 · 01/12/2022 18:08

@tulipsunday so sorry. Sending love xxx

Beapo · 01/12/2022 18:19

So sorry @tulipsunday , sending big hugs x

B1993 · 01/12/2022 18:20

@tulipsunday, I had really wished for a better outcome for you 💔 Take care of yourself, lovely💜

@Nervousbuthopeful, if it helps, I've had loads of spotting throughout this pregnancy (even more so than I had with my miscarriage) so try to remain positive. Will you book in with EPAU tomorrow?

I second what the other ladies have said, @Daniki. Take it easy knowing you can enjoy Christmas without work stress 😊

Beapo · 01/12/2022 18:21

Sorry to hear that @Atii, sending big hugs. I had a similar time frame on my first pregnancy which turned out to be a mmc too. If it wasn't for other health conditions popping up we would have ttc sooner but 2 years on and I'm praying this one works out 🙏

tulipsunday · 02/12/2022 07:45

Thanks everyone ❤️ Sorry for your loss @Atii and good luck TTC
