Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting on mumsnet, but have spent plenty of time reading through others' conversations for reassurance when anxious, and this seems like such a friendly place!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again after the miscarriage of my first at 11 weeks in August. I would love to connect with other people in a similar situation.

I'm feeling relatively ok, i.e. not totally panicked all the time, about this one, but I know it's going to be hard. I really find it hard to believe sometimes that this could work out.

Please send a comment if you're in a similar situation and would like to share/receive some support!

@Brokenpancreas94 could be a mix of things but yeah, probably catch up a bit when baby is bigger it usually does, cos they don't change your official dates unless they're different at the 12 weeks scan I think, they just go off your last period

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 12:44

@suz2285 ah okay yeah that makes sense then!

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 12:59

Is anyone else's womb tilting backwards towards their bum? Mine is apparently 🤷‍♀️

ChloeN · 10/06/2023 13:13

@Brokenpancreas94 I don’t know what way mine was tilted but I was told at my 12 week scan it was, the pictures were crap quality and she couldn’t get the measurements! Whereas at 10 weeks it was so clear so it’s confusing 🤣

WhiteHorse92 · 10/06/2023 13:34

@Brokenpancreas94 that's brilliant news! I've got my '8 week scan' in under 2 hours and praying there's a heartbeat. It's just a private scan for reassurance and they only do transabdomnal scans so hopefully my dates aren't too far out 😅

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 13:38

@ChloeN the pictures I have are really good quality...I think 🤷‍♀️😂 I would post but don't know if it's allowed? Although I could just send you them 😂

@WhiteHorse92 good luck!! Xx

suz2285 · 10/06/2023 13:45

You can post them @Brokenpancreas94 👌

tulipsunday · 10/06/2023 15:48

@Brokenpancreas94 yep mine tilts backward too apparently.

Good luck @WhiteHorse92 for your scan

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 15:52

Nearly posted my plate of giant wotsits 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 15:53

@tulipsunday I don't remember them saying that about my daughters pregnancy wonder if it's been since then 🤷‍♀️but to be fair my first scan with her was 12 weeks

WhiteHorse92 · 10/06/2023 16:05

Back from scan, all is well! Measuring 7+1 so a whole week behind what I was expecting! Saw the heartbeat clearly which was a massive relief.

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 16:16

@WhiteHorse92 basically the same as me then, glad all okay for you too xx

suz2285 · 10/06/2023 16:22

@WhiteHorse92 glad all was ok

Haha @Brokenpancreas94 I thought you were referring to baby as wotsit, thought that was kinda cute 😂😂 those giant wotsits are fab tho right? So much better than the small ones!!

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 16:25

@suz2285 haha well the wotsit is bigger than baby at the moment 😂😂they are so good, I didn't realise I'd picked up the giant ones 😂

suz2285 · 10/06/2023 16:34

@Brokenpancreas94 that's how I discovered them the first time by picking up the packet and not realising! 😂😂

We were talking about jelly babies earlier and now I want them! I've no idea what I want for actual dinner though, we had a bbq at lunch so not really hungry yet!

Brokenpancreas94 · 10/06/2023 16:54

@suz2285 I don't like jelly babies. I really want bacon Mac and cheese Pringles but they don't do them anymore 😭😂. BBQ sounds lovely 🤤

tulipsunday · 11/06/2023 09:58

Great news @WhiteHorse92

Aw cute pic @Brokenpancreas94

My husband is cooking some food for later and the smell js making me feel sick. He is like I take it you won't be eating this so I'll serve you some crackers 😂 can't wait to resume normal eating patterns. Jelly babies and Pringles do sound good to me

Telling my in-laws about the pregnancy today though they totally know already as we went on holiday and I didn't drink all week which as they know is v unlike me!

Brokenpancreas94 · 11/06/2023 10:03

@tulipsunday what's he cooking??

tulipsunday · 11/06/2023 12:07

This frittata which I would normally enjoy but can't handle eggs at the moment due to the eggy smell 😂

suz2285 · 11/06/2023 12:56

@tulipsunday I have gone off eggs too, I made this egg salad thing last week and then I was like nope, stuck it in the fridge and then every time I opened the fridge it was 🤢 and then my husband ate it all and let's just say when it's coming out the other end it's been not the most pleasant 🙈

In other news I don't feel as nauseous this week so now I'm paranoid! I'm just past the stage I had issues last time so I've been anxious this week but I'm worried I feel slightly better! Google suggests some people can start to feel better weeks 9 onward and I'm only just after 8 weeks but was measuring like 3-4 days ahead at my scan, so 🤷‍♀️ and then other stuff says it's bad to start feeling better so early....

So annoying that you can't just have a quick check yourself!

Brokenpancreas94 · 11/06/2023 14:49

Ahhh I hate eggs anyway, so I'm with you both on that one 😂
@suz2285 my nausea is coming and going, so tired today though I've slept loads, worried I won't sleep later now! I keep cramping too, even though I had the scan yesterday I'm still paranoid!

suz2285 · 11/06/2023 14:55

@Brokenpancreas94 yeah it's annoying, I had my scan just over a week ago and it feels like it was months ago, and so much could have gone wrong 🙈 I've had a nap every day since Thursday as I've been wfh, need to go into the office mon and tue tho and I've got my midwife appointment on Wednesday

I was meant to be calling mum today planning to tell her about baby, but she's on holiday so I dont think she's going to have time and now I feel anxious and not sure I should wait another few weeks 😂 can't win!

tulipsunday · 11/06/2023 14:56

@suz2285 although my nausea will come and go I do feel generally better than last week overall. Totally understand what you mean nice to start to feel a bit better but then the anxiety comes 🙈

Brokenpancreas94 · 11/06/2023 16:42

@suz2285 the midwife yesterday said they would probably cancel the scan I was meant to have Wednesday, I'm just hoping they don't!
It's so warm today too!

@tulipsunday hope today telling your in-laws went well xx

suz2285 · 11/06/2023 17:20

@Brokenpancreas94 honestly I'd like at least one scan a week at this point 😂😂 why isn't that a thing!

I'm feeling a bit rough again tonight so I guess that's a good sign
