Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting on mumsnet, but have spent plenty of time reading through others' conversations for reassurance when anxious, and this seems like such a friendly place!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again after the miscarriage of my first at 11 weeks in August. I would love to connect with other people in a similar situation.

I'm feeling relatively ok, i.e. not totally panicked all the time, about this one, but I know it's going to be hard. I really find it hard to believe sometimes that this could work out.

Please send a comment if you're in a similar situation and would like to share/receive some support!

Hi all, had the scan. Good news, babies heartbeat was seen and all is well. Sonographer said if she took the call she wouldn’t have scanned us 🙄

have been given progesterone. Now a two week wait for our 7/9 week scan.

Brilliant news loulou!!!!! so pleased to hear

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 14:59

@loulouhind glad all was well with your scan too! Xx

@Bessie85 I think I will have to go on clexane too 😩😩sure my midwife mentioned it in my last pregnancy but I didn't get far enough to start them

@WitcheryDivine clexane are for preventing blood clots 😩hate the injections...despite being diabetic I couldn't do these when I gave birth to my daughter xx

tulipsunday · 06/06/2023 15:22

@loulouhind amazing news! A great day for the thread all round 😊

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 17:04

@loulouhind amazing news! Sonographer sounds a bit rude though!

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 18:21

Feeling a bit crampy this evening, very gassy as well, so hopefully just wind, still a bit nauseous though as well

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 18:44

@Brokenpancreas94 I'm crampy today too, which is worrying me a bit as I Haven't really been crampy for a few weeks now...

Feeling a lot more worried the last few days I think just coming up to the time I had issues last time

I've def still got wind, and nausea though as well and I'm knackered!

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 19:12

@suz2285 my time will be next week, so nervous! Also have my scan next week too, and just realised I'll be 8 + 4 not 9, no idea how I messed that up! Baby stopped growing last time around 8+3 😞
Hopefully it'll all be okay! Xx

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 19:49

Similar to me @Brokenpancreas94 went for a scan at 8 weeks and baby had stopped growing somewhere around 7.5 weeks... I've got another scan booked in for 10+1 so if I make it to then hopefully all be ok 🤞

I've got my midwife booking in appointment next week too, must be the day after your scan... hopefully all will be ok for us both

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 19:56

@suz2285 I really hope so, don't know how I will get through it otherwise 😞
Trying to stay positive. I have my booking appointment on 27th June xx

Peachy3118 · 06/06/2023 20:31

Hi everyone, scan went well - measuring 11 weeks and even got a wee wave from baby 🥰 roll on booking appointment and dating scan now. Thanks for all the messages and well wishes x

ChloeN · 06/06/2023 20:40

@Peachy3118 ahh lovely news so pleased for you!🥰

tulipsunday · 06/06/2023 20:44

@Peachy3118 aw great news!

Girls - when would you typically be prescribed medicine for nausea? Currently feeling crappy for most of the day but not actually been sick yet or feeling like I am going to - just nausea. Managing to work so not bed bound. Do you think this is too mild to be prescribed anything or should I speak to GP? Currently 9+1 x

RegardingPersephone · 06/06/2023 20:51

So I got a 2-3 on the clearblue dating today and we never got that with the last one despite being 6 weeks. Taking it as a positive sign that HCG is rising better than it did last time and hoping everything has implanted properly 🤞

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 21:25

@tulipsunday I think I was 6/7weeks when I was prescribed medication last time. I think the feeling sick and not being sick is worse, if that makes sense? As atleast when you're sick you generally feel better, well most of the time xx

tulipsunday · 07/06/2023 12:52

@RegardingPersephone a great positive sign!

@Brokenpancreas94 yeh I know what you mean. Did feel a bit better this morning when went for a walk so may try and get outside a bit more.

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/06/2023 15:54

@tulipsunday bacon seems to make me feel better 😂😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I can't get enough of it!! But then the fact that I don't feel nauseous makes me worry and think something is wrong!

tulipsunday · 07/06/2023 16:12

@Brokenpancreas94 I felt great when pregnant with my son really nice smooth pregnancy so don't worry you might just be lucky this time and feel better 😊

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/06/2023 17:22

@tulipsunday from what I can remember I'm sure I was fine with my daughter too, was years ago though!

Random one, what's the deal with tuna? We can have it but not a lot?

ChloeN · 07/06/2023 17:28

@Brokenpancreas94 i think so! There’s definitely the amount mentioned the nhs website I think it’s limited to a certain amount of tins per week xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/06/2023 17:34

@ChloeN ohh good, I thought so! I mean I only want tuna pasta for dinner one night 😂xx

ChloeN · 07/06/2023 17:49

@Brokenpancreas94 oh yeah you’ll defo be able to have that! Xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 07/06/2023 18:22

@ChloeN good 😂I thought I could but just wanted to be extra sure...my diabetes isn't playing ball 😩😩xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 08/06/2023 08:34

Hi everyone just went to the toilet and have light brown when I wipe 😭 called EPU and they've booked me in for a scan tomorrow morning at 11 I'm so scared

38andtrying · 08/06/2023 09:05

@Brokenpancreas94 praying all is ok, brown is old blood so at least that for the moment. Hope all goes well at scan tomorrow

suz2285 · 08/06/2023 09:42

@Brokenpancreas94 ugh that was me last week its a horrible position to be in but least you're getting a scan, my EPU said it was likely brown blood that was stuck inside and was just working its way out so hopefully be the same for you. Everything crossed for you.

I've been feeling slightly better the last few days which was worrying me, so i didn't take an anti nausea last night and i'm def still feeling iffy this morning, though not as bad as i was weeks 5-6! I had cancelled my scan for this weekend after being at EPU only a week and a half ago but i'm thinking I might re-book it for this weekend again and just go and make sure all ok - as this is when i had the MC last time, i think just a worrying point....
