Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting on mumsnet, but have spent plenty of time reading through others' conversations for reassurance when anxious, and this seems like such a friendly place!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again after the miscarriage of my first at 11 weeks in August. I would love to connect with other people in a similar situation.

I'm feeling relatively ok, i.e. not totally panicked all the time, about this one, but I know it's going to be hard. I really find it hard to believe sometimes that this could work out.

Please send a comment if you're in a similar situation and would like to share/receive some support!

@loulouhind it's the not knowing isn't it 😩 you just want to know what's going on but they're denying you that as such by making you wait

WitcheryDivine · 05/06/2023 21:33

Is anyone else on the progesterone pessaries?

Hiya, yes I’m on 400mg twice a day and am hopefully tomorrow starting daily clexane injections too (it’s been a battle trying to get hold of a prescription!) How many are you on?

SMG1992 · 06/06/2023 06:17

I have my scan in 3 hours.
I’m so nervous, going back there is going to be really horrible after the MMC
I just really hope this time the outcome is different and DH and I can start to get excited about the pregnancy! 🤞🏼

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 06:51

Good luck @SMG1992 let us know how you get on! 🤞🤞

ChloeN · 06/06/2023 07:13

@SMG1992 good luck this morning! I’ll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed xx

Peachy3118 · 06/06/2023 07:35

@SMG1992 good luck for this morning!

We’ve got a private scan this evening after being away for 2 weeks in Greece for reassurance - currently 10+5 and super nervous about it

tulipsunday · 06/06/2023 07:53

@Peachy3118 and @SMG1992 all the best for your scans ❤️

@loulouhind hope the EPU agree to see you

@Brokenpancreas94 electronic so you think would be easy to change the dates but system said no. Oh well not a big deal 😊 how is the nausea going? Hope you aren't feeling too bad x

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 08:06

Good luck @SMG1992 ❤️❤️

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 08:07

@tulipsunday ah yes, they've said that my notes will be electronic this time! I've got the app but that's about it so far!
It's okay, it comes and goes, hope you're feeling okay! Xx

SMG1992 · 06/06/2023 08:13

Thank you all for the well wishes!
@Peachy3118 good luck for your scan this evening and I hope you had a lovely time in Greece!

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 08:55

@Peachy3118 good luck for your scan too!

I just caved and booked another for 10 weeks - so not for a few weeks but i don't want to wait till the 12 weeks scan! I booked it at the cheaper private place but that's where we went last time when we first knew something was wrong, DH says we should go to the other place but they're 2 x the price! I dunno, i'm thinking if all should be ok then it doesn't matter which place it is

loulouhind · 06/06/2023 09:32

Scan today at 2pm, so nervous I can’t explain, but I am sure everyone in here feels my concerns 😓

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 09:47

@loulouhind everything crossed for you, we all know exactly how it feels... 🤞🤞

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 10:04

@loulouhind good luck xxx

ChloeN · 06/06/2023 10:17

@suz2285 I had the same issue but there was no way I could bare to go back there, I think if you feel okay to go there then you may as well!

ChloeN · 06/06/2023 10:17

@Peachy3118 @loulouhind hope both of your scans go okay❤️

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 10:38

@ChloeN yeah I dunno, I feel like there's not much choice as there's only two places that do them here! The woman was a bit dismissive the first time but cos she couldn't really see anything, this time I know there's def a baby and I'll be a lot further along so i assume that it will be ok but I dunno, might be a better experience if they're not suggesting an issue 😂

SMG1992 · 06/06/2023 12:13

I had my scan and all is well, I'm 12+6 so will be 2nd trimester tomorrow!
I burst into tears as soon as I was in the room so the sonographer found the heartbeat really quickly to put me at ease.
Feeling much calmer about the whole thing now and ready to start enjoying pregnancy

tulipsunday · 06/06/2023 12:23

@SMG1992 I am so pleased for you. 12wks is such a great milestone.

Brokenpancreas94 · 06/06/2023 12:34

@SMG1992 so glad it went well for you! ❤️

WitcheryDivine · 06/06/2023 12:55

@SMG1992 That's great news! I can imagine how you felt. Must be such a relief, try to take a few days off worrying!

Best of luck to everyone else with scans today.

suz2285 · 06/06/2023 13:16

@SMG1992 that's amazing news! i'd be the same! Congratulations

loulouhind · 06/06/2023 14:45

Hi all, had the scan. Good news, babies heartbeat was seen and all is well. Sonographer said if she took the call she wouldn’t have scanned us 🙄

have been given progesterone. Now a two week wait for our 7/9 week scan.

Sorry I missed this - I'm on the twice a day pessaries too, never even heard of clexane!
