Pregant after miscarriage - support thread

Hi everyone,

I'm new to posting on mumsnet, but have spent plenty of time reading through others' conversations for reassurance when anxious, and this seems like such a friendly place!

I've just found out I'm pregnant again after the miscarriage of my first at 11 weeks in August. I would love to connect with other people in a similar situation.

I'm feeling relatively ok, i.e. not totally panicked all the time, about this one, but I know it's going to be hard. I really find it hard to believe sometimes that this could work out.

Please send a comment if you're in a similar situation and would like to share/receive some support!

Had scan this morning and we have a wee strong heartbeat - thinking slightly behind due to late implantation but only a couple of days! The relief after seeing our wee beat ❤️

Hi 👋 scan went well. They looked at me like I was mad as I hadn't booked with a midwife. Said I was too scared!

@Stressedannni amazing. So pleased scans are going well for everyone. Gives me some hope. On holiday now for a week so hoping I can relax a bit from all the stress of things x

@tulipsunday hey, doing ok I'm just waiting on AF to start which should be today but iv absolutely no AF symptoms whatsoever so I'm hope it's not really delayed 🙈 xx

@Stressedannni I got exact same look, was told to leave and call them asap - told them I just couldn’t until I’d had some reassurance! struggled to get appointments tho but they managed to get me in but now have my booking in appointment at 10 weeks

@Peachy3118 lucky the epu unit could book my 12 week scan then and there. I sometimes people forget all the trauma!

Hi everyone found out today that I'm pregnant (1-2 weeks with clear blue digital), had my mmc last September and had been trying since January!
Got a lot of mixed emotions going on now, excited but also super scared! Xx

Aw welcome @Brokenpancreas94 I remember your user name. I know it is such a mixed bag of feelings when you are pregnant after miscarriage.

I am coming up to 5 1/2 weeks which is when my last pregnancy ended (although bleeding didn't start for ten days) so feeling a bit anxious.

I'm such a nervous wreck!! I've just been to the toilet and when I wipe there's a very slight tinge of brown...could this be implantation?? I've never had implantation with my previous pregnancies!

@Brokenpancreas94 I had this pink mucus. It stopped after 3 days. Are you on any medication?

I did have this with my miscarriage a few years ago. I'm on Pesseries, injections baby asprin this time under the misscarige clinic. Can u contact the epu? 🌻

@ChloeN yeh first was MMC. December one blighted ovum technically so pregnancy ended 5 1/2 wks but bleeding didn't start till 7 so had no idea 😢 that's what I am worried about this time.

@tulipsunday Its hard when you have no idea if it’s all okay in there😖 I was the same mine stopped growing at 7 weeks but never bled until I took the medical management so weeks later! Hopefully everything will be perfect this time for you 🤞🏻
