I've been away from the forums a little bit as I'm waiting for my 12 week dating scan on Thursday. I had a private scan at 9w4days (on top of an 8 week one) and it showed the baby growing exactly as it should be and was even moving quite a bit (looked like it had hiccups!)

Morning ladies! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and well done to us all not being able to have one alcoholic drink 🤪!! December is a difficult time hiding your pregnant!

Haha - I told people early for just that reason! I miss Christmas drinking! And soft cheese, smoked salmon, pate, rare beef….

Hope you all had a fab Christmas!! My lovely mum bought me a couple of bottles of non alcoholic peach Bellini which was so delicious so I have enjoyed that the last couple of days. Thankfully we’ve told all our families now so didn’t have to hide anything and MIL got me some Shloer too so I’ve been well accommodated.

Had my second scan at EPU this morning (first was due to having miscarried three times in a row before this PG) and they scanned today because I had a bit of brown discharge last Wednesday. Baby was perfect, measuring at 9w1d.

I'm convinced it's a girl because I felt just as rotten when I had my daughter. Everything tastes awful and I have been sick alot. Feel very emotional as I recently had a Gastric Sleeve so my capacity for food is very very limited as it is.

Anyway, I'm glad baby is all OK.

I'm glad everyone had a nice Christmas. I am still working my way through the junk food 😁. I've had no more bleeding since starting progesterone, not even brown spotting any more, so I'm hoping that's done the trick. I'm 13+2 now, waves of nausea lessening.

@Hjudge56 I can’t think of any really. The only ones I’ve been told previously have been around cravings but I had complete opposite cravings with both my boys so who knows?

After a worrying 2 days of me not feeling not pregnant no more and some dramas with my doppler which has now been binned! I had another private scan today, and all is fine. Measuring a day ahead and my sch has shru k!

@Hjudge56 to be honest I don't really know any either. Would be interesting to know others though. With my first which was a girl, I craved ice lollies (which I later heard was due to being iron deficient), so it'll be interesting to see with this one, so far I don't want chocolate (which I usually want all the time!) And I seem to want more crisps and savoury stuff, but I don't know if this is pregnancy or because I've been poorly.

@candycrush789 that's a great pic! Must be such a relief. We're at the same stage, I'm 11+3 today :o)

I have my midwife apt on Friday - does anyone know if they'll try to find a heartbeat? I know they won't do a scan, but it would be really reassuring if they checked for a heartbeat....it's over a week since my last scan and I'm starting to get paranoid! Especially since we told a few family members before Xmas (to stop any speculation about not drinking....) and now it feels like there are a lot more people vested in it!!

@99pctpractice Where I live they don't even do the heartbeat at 16 weeks unless its changed as baby is still so small! It may be worth an ask though but I'm not sure they would! X

@candycrush789 I'm same as you, 11+3 today. Got my scan on 5th.

@99pctpractice I think you can ask them to hear the heartbeat, most will do it for you at this point 😊 but it's not necessarily standard practice unless you ask ❤️

I have pain again and some brownish red spotting 🥲 Hoping it doesn't come to anything. I got the letter through for my big scan today, February 10th...feels ages away!

Question for those of you who are on baby number 2 or more, are you already starting to show? I'm 11+3 and it's definitely fairly obvious I'm pregnant! I'm a slim build anyway but it's hard to hide haha

They don’t do heartbeat til later in the pregnancy as it cannot be reliably found at this stage so would cause more harm than good really with potentially worrying the pregnant women.

Nothing here yet; baby number 4. I never show til later on anyway and I only carry small. I was a round 25/25 weeks with number 3 before I had a proper bump.

This was 28 weeks with baby number 3.

@BabyFour2023 oh wow, I'm not far off that now 🙈

I’m 11 weeks tomorrow with baby number 2 and by the afternoon look very obviously pregnant. I think it’s just bloating but I’m usually quite flat stomached so I feel like it’s really obvious I’m not pregnant! Not ideal when I’m going to stay with family this weekend and am hoping to still keep the pregnancy quiet haha
