12 weeks tomorrow and the afternoon/evening sickness (not morning lol) strikes again. It started yesterday where I suddenly needed to throw up. I feel queasy again this afternoon. The last time I felt nauseous was when I was around 6-7 weeks.

Anon2021x · 17/12/2022 16:43

@PinkPink1 the nausea is overwhelming for me in the afternoon/evenings too! I am also so hungry alot! Struggling with this as I had a gastric sleeve recently so, I don't have the capacity to eat what I actually want, haha.

Hopefully it eases soon for you!

Hi all
I’m new on here and wanted to say hello 😃. Currently 9+1 and have a private scan booked for tomorrow. Wanted to make sure everything’s ok in case any family guess over Christmas…I’m so bloated I already look pregnant and not having a wine over Christmas is an obvious sign to others!

I’m finding the sickness and exhaustion really difficult, much worse than my first pregnancy. Is anyone else feeling well enough to exercise? I usually do a lot of walking and try to do a HIIT 3 times a week around work and toddler if I can. But I’m feeling so horrendous I haven’t managed anything for weeks now! And I’m constantly eating to try manage the nausea. Starting to feel really guilty and so so ready to start feeling better!

cams88 · 17/12/2022 19:49

@JenM31 hello and congratulations! Regarding exercise I’m currently 12+6 and finally felt up to going on the peloton for the first time in weeks this morning. I did a 30 min class, didn’t push myself and it’s totally floored me for the rest of the day! I really haven’t managed to do much exercise this pregnancy at all, last time round I was still running 3-4 times a week at this point and was on the peloton up until my due date but I feel so much more exhausted this time round… might be something to do with the 13 month old I’m running round after most of the time but I’m finding it hard not having the motivation/energy to do anything!

I’m glad to hear it’s not just me! Well done for giving a workout a go.
Same, in my last pregnancy I’m sure I still managed the gym a couple of times a week. And in the last 3 months of pregnancy we were in lockdown so I did a workout every morning before starting work as there was nothing else to do, that’s definitely not going to be happening this time!

PinkPink1 · 17/12/2022 22:25

Thank you @Anon2021x the nausea is horrific. Struggling to go about my day. @cams88 I’m usually very active, but I’m always either nauseous or exhausted. Like so exhausted I can’t function. I’m 12 weeks tomorrow I think and I hope the nausea and exhaustion eases soon.

RandomCatGenerator · 17/12/2022 23:19

@JenM31 I can’t do any exercise. Even walking more than about half a mile and I have to stop. I’m nowhere near 10,000 steps a day. It’s hopeless. So tired and so incredibly nauseous.

any tips for the nausea? Mine wasn’t this bad last time. I’m drinking a lot of ginger tea…

JenM31 · 18/12/2022 08:55

@RandomCatGenerator I usually smash a 10,000 step target! I usually walk as much as possible but now I’m jumping on the bus or tube for the shortest of journeys.

Sucking on sugar free polos constantly helps with my nausea. I’m getting through like 2 packs a day! It gives the same relief as eating but way less calories. I still need to snack on a lot of crackers and biscuits throughout the day but at least it’s not every 5 minutes haha.

PinkPink1 · 18/12/2022 15:17

Is it normal to feel extremely exhausted? Sometimes even sitting down is tiring because my head feels heavy and I just want to rest my head. I hate not being active (I usually don’t sit still), but I’m barely functioning. Everything seems like a chore to do and all I want to do is nap. I don’t usually sleep well, but I’ve been sleeping a lot lately! I’m 12 weeks today.

PinkPink1 · 18/12/2022 15:21

@JenM31 2 packs of sugar free polos? I’d be on the toilet all day🤣

shibeshibe · 18/12/2022 18:00

12 week scan tomorrow (I'll be 11+5 according to my calculations) - excited and nervous! I'm a bit scared because I've not had many symptoms at all but will find out how things are doing tomorrow.

Crossing fingers ❤️

Losti121623 · 18/12/2022 18:22

Good luck @shibeshibe !! Let us know how you get on 😊

@PinkPink1 I feel like this at the moment too, felt the same 6-8weeks ish but then started to feel a little more functional! Now I feel like I’m back to square one & just want to sleep 24/7 😣

MendaciousMabel · 18/12/2022 18:55

Good luck @shibeshibe got everything crossed for you x

and yes @PinkPink1 this has been me for a few weeks now! I’m 11+3 and I’m finally starting to have a bit more energy now!

septembersapphire7 · 18/12/2022 19:47

My booking in scan isn’t until 13+3 and I so wanted to just make sure all was well before Christmas.. wondering if I should just pay for another private scan- last was at 7weeks so it feels like it’s been ages but actually I’m just being impatient arent I? (Also £70 is a lot especially during Christmas week!) i just want it to be easier!

squirrelnutkins1 · 18/12/2022 20:25

@shibeshibe all the best for tomorrow!

Exhaustion is real! 3 times this week I've fallen asleep on the sofa, literally just HAD to shut my eyes and drop off! Thankfully DH has been home each time or my toddler would've ended up running riot.
Sickness is still bad. I'm eating my body weight each day in Pringles to help 🙈

Rutennotou · 19/12/2022 01:32

I've woken up in the middle of the night with heavy bleeding and passing clots and now I'm cramping 😪. Really doesn't look good for me, will contact my GP first thing for an urgent referral to EPU.

Oh no, sending you so much luck & hugs. Can you phone triage direct? I’m sure once you’ve had your booking appointment you can go straight to them but may be different in different areas. Is it your scan tomorrow too?

candycrush789 · 19/12/2022 07:59

@Rutennotou this happened to me and j was diagnosed with a subchronic hematoma, has that ever been mentioned before? I hope your okay I know how scary it is xx

@Rutennotou I hope everything goes okay for you! Sorry you're going through this

Had an early reassurance scan on Saturday at 9 weeks, all seems well so far. Saw the heartbeat and had a nice strong one! Exciting ready to tell my family over Christmas

Rutennotou · 19/12/2022 11:00

Thanks ladies, waiting to be seen now. Actually been referred to gynae ward which is beside the EPU, waiting on a doctor. Still some reddish brown bleeding.

Olegia · 19/12/2022 12:16

Hi everyone,
Long time no speak! I'm currently 10+5, my nausea has gradually staved off now, though yesterday I seemed to have have a bit of a cold and actually fainted very briefy whilst in the shops! I called the midwife shortly after who told me that it was normal as blood pressure is lower during pregnancy..
In aroud a week and a few days I will have my term scan, as well as genetic screening, exciting!

How is everyone else feeling?

Rutennotou · 19/12/2022 12:26

Had my scan- baby is absolutely fine and measuring 12 weeks exactly! Doctor couldn't find a reason for the bleeding at all. I've been told to take it easy. Waiting on an anti D injection then I can go.
