@ThePodParent I've gotten over the tiredness I think! Haven't been in bed at 9:30pm anyway 🤣 I had been sick for a week there and have a lingering sinus infection so my sleep was quite broken but slept 11:30pm to 8am last night/this morning, best in a wee while.

@Sunandstars123 His face was completely shocked! The technician was so manner-of-fact I almost thought I misheard, immediately went into a chain of questions. But he's been freaking out a bit on and off, although still happy😊It's a lot to process, not sure if it's fully sunk in yet lol

do you already have children or are these babies 1 + 2 for you both?
DH was convinced we would have twins this time which was a rather terrifying thought as this is our 4th (and final) baby but my early scan showed 1 😂❤️

@BabyFour2023 They'll be 1 and 2 for us, so it'll be intense, we'll be learning to be parents very quickly😅

I started with full body aches and pains last night and I've felt awful since. I think I've picked up a viral infection that my daughter's had 😥 so I've had lack of sleep dealing with her and hopefully she's on the mend now and I'm coming down with it. I feel so run down and I don't think it's pregnancy related at all! 😂

@MountainLaurel7 Congrats! Welcome to the Twin club! I'm pregnant with my first and we found out a couple weeks ago it's twins!

Now at 11+1 and we saw them last saturday and can't believe they're already moving about! One is head down and was jus throwing it's lil feet up in the air and the other was just chilling and bopping up and down, so amazing to see! Now that I've it this far I'm starting to get really excited (I say typing this at 3am because I can't sleep anymore sigh)

@Nadinya joining the 'awake in the early hours club'. But I'm awake because my 3 year old can't stop coughing. I'd very happily be asleep otherwise. Had to sit with her in the end to see if sitting up would help calm it down, reading Goldilocks at 4:30 in the morning isn't really what I had in mind but it calmed her down! Waiting for the Calpol to kick in again and fingers crossed she sleeps again soon 🤞

@Nadinya Wow that's incredible, they're already moving! Barely avoiding the early morning club myself, it's 7:30 where I am but I get up about 50 times a night😅

Just had my booking appointment over the phone, I'm going to be under consultant this time due to the blood transfusions and the birth I had the first time round. Got to go in on Wednesday for them to do my height, weight and blood pressure.

Had my booking appointment today. All went well except they couldn’t get my blood (no shock) so I have to go to phlebotomy at the hospital. Dreading it!

11 weeks today and have been sick twice 😪 We have booked a private scan for next Wednesday afternoon, really don't want to wait until almost mid January!

@Rutennotou will you not be able to have the screening done if your scans that late?

Had a scan today (9weeks) and baby still there, heart still beating and leg and arm stumps wiggling! Huge relief because my symptoms tapered off a bit last week (so grateful to be less nauseous but also so panicked!). They did spot some placental lakes in my scan - she said not to worry about it, but just wondering if anyone knows anything about them?

Hope you don't mind me joining. Had an early scan at 6 weeks due to spotting and also saw twins @MountainLaurel7
Most days I have a really light pink discharge and I have no sickness so I'm finding it hard to believe there's two in there?! Think I'm going to have another scan next week just for some reassurance.

So after a scan 2 weeks ago showing an empty gestational sac... today there was a little baby with a good, strong heartbeat. Thought I was 8 weeks today but measuring 7+2, so not too far out.

So relieved that so far, all seems well. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all well. Lovely to hear of some reassuring scans. Not long and we will be having our 12 week ones!

Will anyone else be having a surprise or do you plan to find out the sex?
This is our 4th and final baby and we will be having a surprise. We have 1 girl and 2 boys already.

@Littledux My sicknes only fully started a few days ago, and comes and goes too, so I'm right with you on the disbelief. And after seeing them once I now wish I could look every day lol, but my next scan is january 16th😩

@mumma2oneDD I'm glad you got to see your baby in the end, an empty sac is really terrifying. 🤞 that heartbeat only gets stronger every day😁

Hey all, it's been a while how is everyone!?

I'm now 10+6 and got my 12 week scan at 11+6 so am super excited for it.

I've managed to escape morning sickness (apart from being sick once at 5 weeks and the very rare bit of nausea since) but the exhaustion - it's knocking me out! Never experienced feeling so lethargic before! A simple long walk in the day will have me falling asleep by 7pm and feeling so drained by the time 5pm hits at work. I'm hoping it will get better soon though...

We'll be finding out too. I don't want to this time but DH does. We were the opposite way round last time!
I've felt rotten for a lot of the afternoon and still now. I don't remember feeling so ill last time.
The fatigue is insane isn't it!

@squirrelnutkins1 hi thank you for thinking of me! I'm Still bleeding, it's mostly like a light period but sometimes the bright red starts up again 😔 I have my follow up scan Monday and they will be able to measure the hematoma size too. 🤞🤞 it doesn't get any worse! My boobs however feel bruised, very bruised. How are you? I hope all you ladies are OK and enjoying the festivities 😘❄️xx

@BabyFour2023 I don't think my area offers them but 15+1 is still really late! My DD is 20 months and with her I was scanned at 13+6, the consultant insisted on it being by then as that was the guidelines at the time. The NICE guidelines are now 14+1 so I've contacted PALS, will do no harm in asking.

That is late! I think you’ve done the right thing, hopefully they can get you in sooner!

Had my first midwife appointment today so got my first scan booked in for the 9th January 😊So excited! Got a private early scan booked in for the 17th to check everything is okay before telling anyone but really starting to feel excited now!
