It looks I'm the lucky one 10 weeks tomorrow and no nausea. Also had two scans done as suspected ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks and then my hospital booked me for 8 weeks scan.

Wishing everyone easy and healthy pregnancies xx

MaraudingMother · 06/12/2022 11:52

I am utterly exhausted today. Feel all stuffed up and nauseas too. Not sure if it's pregnancy or if it's just generally being poorly.. but it suck's!

MendaciousMabel · 06/12/2022 12:42

Nausea has worn off for me the last couple of days but get really nauseous if I haven't eaten for a few hours still. Naturally I'm now worrying 😂 still very tired and I also have the stuffy nose thing, sick of blowing it 😂

squirrelnutkins1 · 06/12/2022 12:49

I get to about 9pm and feel dreadful, sick and lethargic. I was similar last time but with headaches as well 😖

MaraudingMother · 06/12/2022 13:16

@MendaciousMabel it's like extra mucus everywhere isn't it. Like pls get out of my nostrils

MaraudingMother · 06/12/2022 13:16

@squirrelnutkins1 I was like this with my first. Fine until 8pm then horrendous nausea.

It did eventually turn into morning sickness though

MamaSJ15 · 06/12/2022 13:19

I had the horrid cold and sinus infection while I was 4-6 weeks pregnant, thankfully been okay since but my 3 yo has been poorly with it all week, she also had her flu nasal spray which makes it worse, she hasn't been herself at all. Kind of have a feeling I'll pick something up from her again as she does tend to cough in my face (unintentionally!)
Pregnant with a toddler is definitely an eye opener compared to first time 😂

Sunandstars123 · 06/12/2022 13:36

The only think that is bugging me is my nose. It feels all swallen inside and I feel constantly suffocating. So really difficult to breathe. Night sleep is difficult. I remember having the same problem with my first pregnancy 10 years ago.

Sunandstars123 · 06/12/2022 13:37

Sunandstars123 · 06/12/2022 13:40

We couldn't keep the news and told parents and 1 best friend each. This Christmas will be interesting, 12 weeks will be reached and we will tell the news at the gathering. :)

septembersapphire7 · 06/12/2022 14:00

I just got my maternity exemption certificate by email which was very exciting!

Would be lovely if I could find an nhs dentist but they are like stardust these days 😂 so prob won’t have an opportunity to use it… but still nice to have my first perk!

candycrush789 · 06/12/2022 23:15

I had a massive bleed again today. Literally my bathroom looked like a crime scene. It was so bad my husband called an ambulance as I was passing liver like tissue. I was fast tracked to epu and had a scan and saw my happy baby heart beating away but a SCH next to the sac. Couldn't measure the size as the machine wasn't that great but I have to go back on the 19th. They said it could reabsorb or bleed out but I have a risk of the baby coming out with it so for now it's just a wait and see game i suppose. I had one with my dd (2015) and she was fine but I don't remember it ever being as bad as this. Sorry for the paragraph hope your all okay xx

MamaSJ15 · 07/12/2022 07:33

@candycrush789 oh wow that must be so scary! I hope you're okay, I mean that's a stupid thing to say, sorry. Thinking of you, lovely ❤️

Freddie1987 · 07/12/2022 09:25

Thanks to those who came back to me re whether to get a scan or not, I have my booking appointment today so I will see how I feel once I speak to the midwife. My nausea has really eased off now, so of course I'm worrying again although I keep telling myself it wore off quite quickly around the 9/10 week mark last time. I'm with you guys on the stuffy nose though, it's driving me INSANE. I've only just had a cold a few weeks ago so I'm trying to work out if it's just the tail end of that, but it's really blocked up and preventing me from sleeping properly etc. Didn't experience this last time at all, so it's driving me up the wall! If anyone wants a natural solution, I've found the Sterimar sprays work quite well just before bed.

Freddie1987 · 07/12/2022 09:27

@candycrush789 I'm so sorry you've had such a scary experience, hope you can get lots of rest and hoping everything carries on as normal now for you ❤

Haha, well done! Yep, totally right re NHS dentist. But nice to know you have free prescriptions if you need them. I am waiting for my free flu jab.

@candycrush789 oh my god, this is so terrifying. Fingers crossed for you and baby x

My nausea also eased off, I can't say I'm too worried, because I know it doesn't mean anything, symptoms come and go. It's very light, and kind of in the background, so it doesn't ruin my day. I still need to be careful with portion size etc., but I am feeling much better. I am hoping it will stay like this, because I am so sick of crackers, gingerbread biscuits, salt&vinegar crisps etc. I normally used to love my cheat days and eating junk food, chocolates, crisps, pizza etc., but now I am craving almonds, apples, natural yoghurt, sweet potatoes. Maybe my body is fed up with all the wheat, ginger and salt😂

xogossipgirlxo · 07/12/2022 09:55

Btw. do you also see crackers shortages where you live?! I can only see Jacobs Christmas selection boxes, but no cheapies like Asda own brands etc. Or my favourite wholemeal Jacob's (I didn't buy them on purpose when I felt nauseous, as I don't want to hate them after pregnancy).

Hjudge56 · 07/12/2022 10:54

@candycrush789 sending you a big hug… hopefully all is okay and the bleed will just re absorb and leave the little bean alone! Just keep well rested and do everything you can to decrease the stress!

Coffeeforlife · 07/12/2022 12:13

For blocked noses if you get desperate overnight Calpol plug ins are good. It's expensive so not for every day but it does make things better. I discovered this when I used them for my kids and realised they worked for me too!

@candycrush789 that's so scary but very glad to hear the little one is OK. Everything crossed all goes well over the next few days xx

MamaSJ15 · 07/12/2022 13:28

@xogossipgirlxo yes!! I thought I was going mad, I wanted own brand crackers but they're never there!
I'm a bit funny with food at the moment too. Don't want my usual chocolate (I live off chocolate), struggling to know what to snack on to be honest, but thankfully nausea isn't bad, only very light and not very often 🤞 keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way. Currently dealing with a poorly 3 year old, she's so on and off it's strange. Took her to the docs this morning and apparently it's viral so just Calpol and wait for it to go. She's still going to school, she wants to and is well enough 👍

Ahhh, good luck. Not easy pregnant with poorly toddler. Glad your nausea isn't keeping you off your feet. Mine was horrible few days ago, and now it settled. I'm praying to God it will stay like this. On bad days I'm not able to cook, house is a tip, I just lie down on the sofa and mindlessly watch telly. Hate it. I am trying to seize those good days, I exercise, eat well, cook in advance, clean etc., because who knows how long it's going to last 🤐

How odd with these crackers. I checked Lidl and Asda and absolutely none. Maybe it's just a high demand before Christmas.

MamaSJ15 · 07/12/2022 13:51

@xogossipgirlxo thanks! My house an absolute state this weekend and into this week, we had such a busy weekend that I had no time to do anything and I work full time too. My DH is off today so hoping he's getting something done in the house while I'm at work! Thankfully I've not had it bad at all. I only had it lightly with my first pregnancy too. I just feel exhausted and don't know what to eat. Although I've just had a bap from the sandwich shop which was bloody lovely! Haha.
Cook in advance, that's what I need to do!!

BurbageBrook · 07/12/2022 19:29

Hi everyone I’m around 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Was so excited to be pregnant a few weeks ago. I still feel lucky… but now I’m also feeling absolutely exhausted, nauseous and sick constantly, and horribly emotional and hormonal! Hope everyone else is okay!

leanneb94 · 08/12/2022 08:59

Is anyone else extremely bloated? I'm 7+5 but feel like I already look 6 months pregnant because of the bloat even though I've lost half a stone in the past few weeks!😫

MamaSJ15 · 08/12/2022 10:03

@leanneb94 yes, bloat can be bad for me too. Starting to regret wearing jeans to sit at my desk all day today, I've already undone the button 🤦🏼‍♀️ but what's weird is that I don't feel bloated, I just look it.
