So I’ve had two toilet trips this morning that were ‘loose’ shall we say, and bits of my plug have been coming out for a couple of days now. I went back through my whatsapp messages from last time I went into labour and this is what I told my DH happened the day before I had my DD last time, contractions started that evening. God I hope the same thing happens this time. I’ve been willing the baby to stay in as my DD has been ill but she is finally back in nursery today!

See this is what’s been happening to me too. Losing little bits of mucus every day since Wednesday and lots of bowel movements. Fingers crossed it’s a sign things are progressing for both of us!

VolcanicProtectorMan · 11/11/2022 10:41

Getting real now though, had a midwife appointment and she’s booked me in for a check and sweep on my due date a week on Sunday if nothing’s happened by then. Entirely my choice, but I’m going to have it as I’m very uncomfortable (she’s finally noted baby is 3/5 engaged on my notes today so could be why as he wasn’t engaged last time) so anything to help him along!

CurlyNo2 · 11/11/2022 11:51

Oh ladies, I’m incredibly stressed out today, just had a little meltdown.

We are currently in the process of buying our first home, the sellers are hoping to complete by mid December. Things are moving pretty fast so this is a possibility. Today we received notification that our current house rent is due to increase mid Dec when our contract is up for renewal. They’ve offered us 6 or 12 months. We have been here nearly 6 years.

My worry is that we may not be in the new house before our contact is up and the landlord/lettings may not allow us to have a 1month rolling contract until we move. I’ll have a brand new baby, a 6 year old and potentially nowhere to live at Christmas. We haven’t yet spoken to the landlord as he is a complete arsehole so trying to put it off which isn’t helping with the uncertainty. We’d ideally want to have both houses on the go for 1 month so we could move into the new house and sort out the old house (put back to how we moved in) with no rush.

Also, I have just rang the hospital to chase up my c-section date which the consultant has requested for the end of next week and there has been no progress. I’m still on the waiting list and it could be the week after which is my due date week. In my head I stupidly had this end date of next week (plus I’m shitting it for the section) and now I’m being told it may not be a possibility and it’s really knocked me. I’ve just rang my husband and cried my eyes out.

I’m probably just being very hormonal but I hate not being in control of things. Thanks for listening 😊

smiles39 · 11/11/2022 12:51

@CurlyNo2 I’m pretty sure you are legally entitled to go onto a rolling contract and they have no standing in making you sign a further 6/12 month commitment. I remember having to look this up and request a rolling contract with my landlord years ago, I had only been there 1 year. Same for my sister, we both were successful and we automatically moved onto a rolling contract once our original contracts had ended. Hope that helps, don’t panic about it!

OtiMama · 11/11/2022 20:15

Ah @CurlyNo2 that sounds less than ideal. I hope you can manage to line up the rental to suit the purchase of the house. Everything to do with house buying is just so stressful.

Fingers crossed some more babies this weekend, sounds like there could be.

I've been feeling the odd sharp pain tonight, must be where baby is pushing as it's kinda on the side of my bump. I have had a full on day with Mt toddler, so maybe just overdone it. I could go to sleep right now.

CurlyNo2 · 11/11/2022 21:26

Thank you both. I’m sure it will be ok, but I can’t help worry about all the uncertainty.

I have been getting really bad period pains tonight with lots of stomach tightening. There is no pattern to them so don’t think they will turn into anything but it’s the first time I have felt anything close to labour.

Just had some salt and pepper chips from the chippy and I’m already crippled with indigestion. Why did I do it??

roobearbaby · 10/11/2022 23:44

I'm back. But I'm here to have a moan.

I'm so bloody done with being pregnant now. Everything "down below" is just in bits.

I'm leaking wee but struggling to wear a pad because my underwear has been digging in to underneath my bump and caused sore skin and just to top it all off I now have hemorriods.

Just feeling overdramatic about it all tonight 😭😭🤣

The haemorrhoids are causing me great upset over here. Had to see my GP for stronger meds

TFMinx · 12/11/2022 01:39

Well yesterday was infuriating! For some reason around five different people messaged to tell me that their friend/sister/cousin/neighbour/dog has had their baby and they were due well after me and how have I not had mine yet? Well isn't that lovely for them and I don't know how I haven't had mine yet, but you telling me this is really helping!

Sorry about the nonsensical rant, I'm just getting more and more fed up. I don't want an induction, but I'm beginning to consider one now 😩

Eryr22 · 12/11/2022 03:50

Baby was born 6:30am yesterday! 10 days overdue. Turned up at the hospital at 4:00 and she was born 2.5 hours later! She is absolutely incredible and worth every ache, pain, heartburn, false alarm etc! Thinking of you all xx

Elle1709 · 12/11/2022 05:31

@Eryr22 congratulations 🥰 how are you feeling? currently sat doing a feed, very tired but baby is so beautiful. Had her day 10 health visitor appointment yesterday and she has put on weight and doing well xx

TFMinx · 12/11/2022 07:23

Aww @Eryr22 that's excellent, congratulations! Did you have to be induced? If so, what was it like?

Eryr22 · 12/11/2022 07:37

@Elle1709 thank you ❤️ I honestly feel so good. VERY tired but I think that's partly because I went into labour at 3am and had only been asleep for 2 hours! Get some early nights ladies!! That's amazing she's put weight on, well done! How are you finding everything?

@TFMinx thank you! ❤️ no we narrowly missed the induction, that was booked for tomorrow! One reason I'm glad is because they were going to burst my waters to get things going before trying drugs, but when they went to pop my waters in labour they couldn't find them!! Not sure if I've been slowly leaking and mistaking if for discharge/ wee this whole time?!

She ended up being 7lb 15oz (my growth charts were predicting 9lb) despite being 10 days overdue

Looking forward to us all doing some night feeds together!

Beanniebaby22 · 12/11/2022 08:05

Congratulations @Eryr22 sounds like she came exactly when she was supposed to, glad you didn’t need the induction in the end 😊

roobearbaby · 12/11/2022 09:07

Congratulations @eryr22 what lovely news to wake up to!!

I thought it was go time at 4am this morning. Woke up to cramping that was actually fairly painful. Went to the loo and got back into bed to ride it out, obviously fell back to sleep and now nothing. I really got my hopes up haha

CurlyNo2 · 12/11/2022 09:45

Oh how wonderful @Eryr22that’s lovely news!! Congratulations x

wibblewobbleball · 12/11/2022 11:20

Baby here! Little girl! Back home now and life is 1000% better than being pregnant already! Good luck ladies who are still waiting, this last stage made me beside myself but it's better when you are out the otherside!

CurlyNo2 · 12/11/2022 11:28

Congratulations @wibblewobbleball Wonderful news!!

TFMinx · 12/11/2022 11:39

So I've got a lot going on at the moment. My DF died suddenly on Tuesday, I was due on Wednesday and I'm now three days over (probably very outing, but oh well) I live a five hour drive away from my dad, so I can't even go to the house or anything. Luckily my wider family have really stepped up and are taking care of bits and pieces on my behalf. It's frustrating that baby isn't here yet, I'm getting constant phone calls/messages from people (mainly DGM & MIL) asking if there's any news and of course the added stress of DF. No wonder my baby doesn't want to come out yet, it's way too hectic!

TFMinx · 12/11/2022 11:40

Sorry if I've brought the mood down.

Genuinely lovely news about all these healthy beautiful babies being born ❤️

CurlyNo2 · 12/11/2022 12:03

Oh @TFMinx I’m so very sorry x

Here is you want to chat or get things off your chest privately x

TFMinx · 12/11/2022 12:26

That's very kind @CurlyNo2 thank you

Beanniebaby22 · 12/11/2022 13:06

Congratulations @wibblewobbleball 😊

Beanniebaby22 · 12/11/2022 13:07

@TFMinx That’s awful, I’m so sorry you’re having a difficult time 🙁

OtiMama · 12/11/2022 13:21

@Eryr22 and@wibblewobbleball congratulations. Hope you are both doing ok!

@TFMinx sending you big hugs and I hope baby is here very soon for you. My Dad died shortly before my son was born in 2020 and it is a lot to process along with all the energy you need being pregnant and looking after a newborn. Hope you can take some time for yourself too, I know that is hard.

Bubblegum20 · 12/11/2022 15:04

@Eryr22 @wibblewobbleball congratulations to you both!

@TFMinx I'm sorry to hear about your DF sending hugs!

After having to call up every day since Sunday when my induction was booked for, I've finally got a bed for tomorrow to start it, there waiting for someone to get a bed on delivery before I can take their bed but they've said that should happen by tonight 😂 so I'll be another whole week further along than originally planned when l get induced but I'm hoping that means it will go so much quicker and won't take as long 🤞🏼
