I’ve now been told I definitely will not have my waters broken tonight, I have however started contracting every 7 minutes for the last couple of hours. Let’s hope this means something! I want to be at home for tomorrow tea time 😇

@Kathno4 argh so frustrating, come on labour/induction! All that waiting stuck in hospital would drive me up the wall!

I have to go do a pre admission blood test today. One more sleep til my caesar! I made a bunch of sushi and spaghetti yesterday for my older kids to feed themselves while I'm in hospital (they can cook, just to make things easier) - I will probably try and make a big batch of some kind of sweets this afternoon, hmm maybe muffins. Then it's early to bed, got to be at hospital by 7am. I've actually been sleeping quite well recently, and feeling pretty good, making sure I keep up with my good vitamins and an electrolyte boost drink has really helped I think. I've slowed down on the iron tablets as I don't want constipation issues after the surgery...

@Elle1709 congratulations on your little one! Enjoy the little cuddles and newborn smell.

@Kathno4 wow that's great progress on your own! Hopefully baby is here soon. Im sure you're fed up being there.

@NotAdultingToday my BP hadn't gone down unfortunately, it's got worse!

I've been told it's pre eclampsia so I'm being induced on Sunday at 38 weeks exactly, they said it's safer I deliver

@Bubblegum20 im sorry to hear about the pre-eclampsia. On the positive, you’ll have your baby in your arms really soon. Take it easy.

Despite being awake now, I’ve had a really good sleep, like I’ve properly rested.

Baby born 23.02 1st of Nov after starting on gas and air 10.30 due date 2nd Nov 😭😭🥰 so in love 🥰

@Bubblegum20 I'm sorry to hear the pre eclampsia. Are you taking any medication for it or it's a wait and see game? As was said, not too long thankfully before baby is on the other side.
@Kathno4 massive congratulations!!!!! That's amazing. All this with just the sweep or induced? Whichever way, congrats and enjoy your little one.

I've managed to sleep from 11pm last night to about 4:30am with no interruptions! Feel like I'm getting more rest now, in the last weeks. No complaints here.

I’m still awake, probably going to give up trying to get back asleep now as I’ll be up in an hour.

Anyone got any tips on getting labour started? I'm so over being pregnant now 😩😆

@NotAdultingToday and @OtiMama hope you're both feeling a bit better today. As tmi as it is I thought I was the only one with the clearing out. And random rectal pressure. God it gives me flashbacks of labour when it happens 😖.

Huge congratulations @Elle1709 and @Kathno4. So happy for you both! Enjoy the cuddles 🥰 and freedom from the joy that is pregnancy. Also totally normal to feel faint, my midwife refused to let me shower unless she could accompany me and stand by the door. She was right, I almost blacked out.

Sorry to hear about the preeclampsia but glad it's been picked up on @Bubblegum20. Hope it all goes well.

@TFMinx I know they're all tales and baby will come when baby is ready but I firmly believe eating 'warming' foods helped me, dates, hot milk with saffron in it and honey (gross but went into labour the next day), and just trying to relax. I know they don't work for everyone but my menstrual cycle is affected by eating too many of these (comes in earlier), and other foods and stress delay it so I think I'm one of those they help. I plan to start taking dates to soften the cervix once I hit 37 weeks. Not sure I'll do the saffron thing again as as much as baby came I wonder if he wasn't ready and that's why my labour was so so long.

That's really interesting @greenerfingers I've got the school run (or should that be waddle?) to do and hoping the walking will help

Does anyone have any advice on sleeping while a newborn sleeps? Didn't manage to get any sleep last night as I was constantly worrying about baby girl being sick or getting too hot/cold etc. Will obviously need to sleep eventually, does this happen to most people in the first few days?
