Ooh it’s officially November- which means our babies will be here this month!!! 🥰

Me and sleep have fell out again tonight, sleep is so over rated anyway 😜

CurlyNo2 · 01/11/2022 01:45

🥰🥰🥰

Due November 2022 Thread 4
roobearbaby · 01/11/2022 01:59

@curlyno2 I'm awake too!

Woke up desp for a wee but the muscle pain meant I couldn't move quick enough...it was close to an accident 😳.

We also have quite a storm going on outside at the moment!

CurlsnLipstick · 01/11/2022 03:04

@greenerfingers thank you, it would be amazing if if the BH escalated but haven't felt anything for hours.❤️❤️ 28th isn't too far, before you know it baby's here.

@roobearbaby got up to pee as well and it definitely feels like an extreme sport getting to the toilet on time without any accidents.

Find the storm and gale oddly comforting tonight. Can't stop tossing and turning. Feel slightly uneasy like somethings about to happen that only my body and not brain is privy to 😵‍💫

greenerfingers · 01/11/2022 03:50

Another one awake but I've woken due to the gales. Sound so comforting and scary at the same time. I have a little phobia of the wind so for me to find it comforting definitely shows pregnancy hormones at play 😂.

sarahj878 · 01/11/2022 07:22

Good luck today @Elle1709 and hope your induction progresses well @Kathno4

Eryr22 · 01/11/2022 08:40

Oh no I missed you! Good luck @Kathno4 too!
It's my due date today and no sign! 😞 midwife is coming to the house this afternoon for a membrane sweep

Eryr22 · 01/11/2022 08:41

Also @detachablehoof I'd agree with some others. I'd risk putting that flu jab off!

TFMinx · 01/11/2022 08:55

Just turned up for my growth scan. I'm quite nervous about it to be honest. Anyone else had a growth scan around 38+6?

detachablehoof · 01/11/2022 10:01

Thanks all for weighing in. Think I'll ring and cancel the flu jab!

NotAdultingToday · 01/11/2022 10:22

Happy due date month ladies!! We are here!

Good luck today @Elle1709 and hope you are ok @Kathno4!

@detachablehoof im a believer in the flu jab and have it most years and never had side affects but i agree with your husband it is a little close, could you get it earlier?
Speaking of i need to get mine done!

I missed a bit due to feeling really unwell 🙁

Gross alert but my clearing out is insane its wiping me out like literally every time i eat i need to go baby must be sitting on my bowel or something!

@TFMinx oh dont be nervous i sure it will be ok

I really need to ring my midwife for my 38 week appointment. Ill add it to the list of a billions things to do 😂

OP posts:
mjb0616 · 01/11/2022 10:26

@detachablehoof I took the flu jab on Saturday (38+1) and have been feeling rotten since! Wish I had delayed mine also if the at helps!

TFMinx · 01/11/2022 10:33

Growth scan was all good, thank goodness! Hopefully not long now until she's here - she was awfully squashed up during the scan!

Beanniebaby22 · 01/11/2022 10:34

Ahhh it’s finally baby month! This felt so far away back in March when we were getting those BFPs.

Good luck to the ladies hopefully having babies today. Everyone else it will be our turn very soon! 😊

Bubblegum20 · 01/11/2022 11:10

@TFMinx glad your growth scan went well today!

Good luck to those having their babies today!

I've got another consultant appt this afternoon, so hopefully my BP has come down today after last week being 150 🤦🏻‍♀️ I've got a feeling if it hasn't they're going to want to induce me as the consultant mentioned that last week! I'm only 37+2 today so let's see what he has to say later!

Eryr22 · 01/11/2022 14:53

Had my membrane sweep at 13:30. Was 3cm dilated! Think I'm getting contractions now!

Eryr22 · 01/11/2022 14:54

Woops, had it at 12:30 actually

TFMinx · 01/11/2022 15:05

Good luck @Eryr22!

Kathno4 · 01/11/2022 16:02

Hey ladies, well this is a joke, I’ve had 2 sweeps in the last 20 hours and they’re talking about breaking my waters but am not getting regular contractions or had any actual induction medication, I can’t see an end to this nightmare at the moment missing my babies so much 🥹

Bramblecrumble22 · 01/11/2022 18:05

Oh no @Kathno4 sounds so frustrating. Keep positive, hopefully not long. I had a consultant appointment and scan today and a different consultant was happy with the scans and a bit confused why I'd been recommended an induction at 40 weeks. Which I was not committed to anyway. She booked one in for 41 weeks in case I haven't gone into labour naturally by then, which I'm happy about.
She told me it would start out two ways. A hormone gel, I'd have to stay on for, or a balloon catheter in the cervix. I would not be happy if I was an inpatient and just had sweeps.

Elle1709 · 01/11/2022 18:25

Hi everyone, thanks for your messages. I had my section this morning. Baby girl born at 9.30am exactly at 7 pounds 9 ounces. She is perfect and doing very well. I'm feeling okay, but a bit shaken up as I had a fainting spell when the midwife got me up to go to the shower. Back in bed now and think it was just from trying to do too much too soon. It was really scary but midwife has reassured me its quite normal for women to faint afterwards. Luckily my partner has been able to stay with me so he's doing the nappy changes while I rest! The actual section was really calm and all the staff were great x

TFMinx · 01/11/2022 18:35

Congratulations @Elle1709 so glad everything went smoothly and you're ok after your fainting episode

Bubblegum20 · 01/11/2022 18:40

@Kathno4 oh no, hopefully there's a space for you on the labour ward soon for you, my friend had her waters broke when she wasn't contracting and they put her on a drip once on the delivery suite and that gave her the regular contractions! Fingers crossed you're not waiting too much longer!

@Elle1709 congratulations, hope your recovery goes smoothly, enjoy your newborn cuddles

CurlyNo2 · 01/11/2022 18:43

Congratulations @Elle1709 hope you’re ok!

OtiMama · 01/11/2022 19:27

Huge congratulations @Elle1709 - does baby have a name? Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

@Kathno4 hope things get moving for you soon and you get to meet baby soon.

Same old for me, uncomfortable day again!
