An itchy spot has just come up on my hand and I'm now worried I've somehow got chicken pox despite being "immune" as per blood test 😩
I honestly feel like it's one worrying thing after another with this pregnancy!
Hope it's just a random itchy bite but it's not exactly mozzy weather is it?

@Skylark1990 ah I think if you click on the pic it shows the names of the tests, too :) thanks so much for looking x

Springblooms08 · 15/10/2022 15:17

@Skylark1990 sorry and yes the overall result said low risk x

Skylark1990 · 15/10/2022 15:19

Ah yes I see @Springblooms08 Hmm that's confusing! Particularly why is the NT measurement changed?
It seems your pappa is higher (although not sure high) and your HCG lower so kinda opposite way to what could indicate risk for downs... What are your overall numbers?
I'd ring the clinic on Monday and ask them to explain them to you if you're worried. That helped me yesterday.
My levels were approx. NT 2mm, pappa 1.7 and HCG 2.2 (can't remember exactly but something like that!)

I’m even older so rant at me any time you like honey pie 🤗

@LauraA31 so I'm trained in lots of types of massage and pressure pointing and it's one of the areas we are taught to avoid on pregnant ladies as it's believed to help bring in contractions. It's all to do with Chinese medicine and their belief in meridians or energy pathways. Similar to reflexology. Personally I follow these "rules" as I was trained in them and it would be like going against the grain after all these years, but by no means should you panic about them. It's just precautionary and if these pressure points worked like that 💯 of the time we'd be using them as a form of induction in hospitals. As it is they are much more effective when you're in Labour to help with contractions rather then getting them started. It's very very unlikely to cause a problem, but we all like to be cautious.

When a new thread is made can the name be popped in here so I know when to move over, I'll completely forget otherwise 🤣💕

Skylark1990 · 15/10/2022 19:28

Thanks @Skylark1990 xx

Has anyone got/using a pregnancy pillow yet? I'm starting to feel aches and pains and wondering if it's worth ordering one but there's so many on the market x

Skylark1990 · 15/10/2022 20:25

@DBS94 I have the dream genii and also the theraline. They're both ok but not game changers. I ended up going with loads of diff pillows and cushions like between legs, under bump, behind back when I was in later stages with DD.

Ps lots of us are over in the new thread already so you may get more answers if you post there 😸
