Hi lovelies, I'm so chuffed we've made it - or are soon to make it - past the big & scary 12 week milestone! Can't quite believe the 2nd trimester is so near...

I've had a lot of period-like cramping weeks 4-10 and it seemed to have stopped weeks 11 & 12. But for the past couple of days I've had a dull, nagging pain around the cervix/uterus area. Not sure where it's coming from exactly but sort of down there, around the pubic bone area. It's not major at all, but still makes me worry! Is anyone else experiencing pains down there? If so, what are yours like?

Well, any sharp pains you should get checked out so if it’s just Hormone pains maybe a positive spin is that it’s a sign that you are switched on and your body is making the adjustments it needs to hey ☺️

We made it past the terrifying 12 week mark!

Any gender guesses??

@Hannah223344 they flu jabbed me at my 12 week scan! I don’t know if I’ll have the Covid one- I literally have Covid now and I’ve had all my jabs including the booster!

LauraA31 · 13/10/2022 17:45

Evening ladies, so thankfully all is absolutely fine!
Baby had a strong heartbeat of 163BPM and my cervix is fully closed with healthy blood flow in the umbilical cord.
I am so relieved that all is okay with baby ❤️

I have added a photo but don’t think nub is visible 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Hello gorgeous baby @LauraA31 💕💕💕 so so glad everything is okay.

i agreed to go out at 7.30 pm tonight, what was I thinking???

AliceinSlumberland · 13/10/2022 18:01

Awww @Deek88 I missed your scans, super cute. I have no clue what I’m looking at but I’m going to have a fun guess at boy.

Tubbytele · 13/10/2022 18:11

@LauraA31 so glad to hear you and your little one are good

DBS94 · 13/10/2022 18:38

Lovely scans everyone 🥰🥰

@LauraA31 so glad all is okay! Did they see a cause for the bleeding? X

LauraA31 · 13/10/2022 18:47

Thank you everybody 🙂

No explanation for the bleeds unfortunately, EPU phoned me back at 6pm and said my blood group is positive so they have no concerns and don’t need to see me. The lady said sometimes women bleed and i sound like im one of them women, she also told me to ride it out and unless im cramping with heavy bleeding not to worry and only ring them when that happens…

ancienthouse · 13/10/2022 18:47

@LauraA31 so pleased everything was ok!

And I'm glad everyone's scans have gone well today 😊

I've been feeling worse today than I have in a while, I'm not sure why. My nausea has ramped up again, food smells are bothering me, and I feel faint. I'm fed up now! At 14 weeks in my last pregnancy I was definitely feeling better than this.

Skylark1990 · 13/10/2022 19:06

So glad everything is ok @LauraA31 ! 💗

@ancienthouse I've been feeling awful today too.. spewed yesterday for first time in a week and it was v v intense. Today have felt similarly nauseous and so achey and exhausted on top. Why is it coming back?!?!

So glad everything is okay!! You must be so relieved.
They didn't know why I bled either. Similarly to you, just said some women are bleeders occasionally and I appear to be one of them!

I suspect I might have a UTI, which could be why I saw red blood when weeing. Could that be the case for you, @LauraA31? Might be worth checking with your GP/midwife. At my surgery you can walk in and give a urine sample for next day results.
Has anyone here had a UTI before? Did you end up taking antibiotics or wait for it to clear by itself?

Pommy1 · 13/10/2022 20:21

@AliceinSlumberland i keep selling things for next to nothing right now as I’m moving House before Xmas. But it’s good people are getting bargains I guess, I just hope I find some.

I’ve noticed I’m uncomfortable buying baby things in general but my friend has a baby last week so that might break the seal. What shall I get her new baby? 😀

LauraA31 · 13/10/2022 20:29

Thank you all ladies! 😅
You are all a brilliant support and im glad that im on this thread with you all! ❤️

Boyfriend is certain this evening it’s a girl, i asked him why and he said ‘because it’s stressing me out and costing me just as much as you do!’ 😂

Just looked at the extra photos which they gave us, the second photo baby looks as if it’s waving at us; i have attached!

@cryingbabymess sorry I missed your comment! I’m so glad that all was okay for you too! X

DBS94 · 13/10/2022 21:04

@SavedByGraceAlone I ordered some urine strips off Amazon which check for UTIs etc. I've had quite a bit of swelling and cramping and burning down below and always paranoid it's a UTI so they're really handy to have in the drawer to be sure! Big pack of 200 for about £7 x

Whywhwhy · 13/10/2022 21:07

Here's another one at 12 weeks, any guesses before I get my gender scan on Sunday?!

@1stimer16 glad you got good news and had a healthy scan.
@LauraA31 very glad to hear your pregnancy is healthy, I've had those same worries and have had some bleeding this pregnancy as well. Seems to have stopped in the last few weeks so fingers crossed.
@Cuppasoupmonster because you brought it up, are there any ladies up to/willing to share their name choices?
Me personally I am not one to fret over someone else choosing the same name as me, I feel like the more the merrier...
We had a name picked out for both sexes, but the female name we initially chose was for another pregnancy and after we found out we were having a girl this time around, we decided to look around for another name.
My husband found a name and he is in love with it. I, however, am trying to like it just as much. I have agreed to the name because he was so excited about it. He has never been pushy or demanding and honestly asks for very little in the naming department, so I have agreed to the name. I dont hate it, but I wondered what you all thought of it...
Solveig
It's pronounced Soul-Vhey, from what I understand. I could be wrong. My husband and I are American, and it's not a name commonly used here.
What do you all think🤔
