39 weeks tomorrow.. No sign of baby coming! How is everyone else doing?

flowergarden16 · 26/10/2022 19:36

The last stretch is so frustrating @sunnyd67 !

36 weeks and counting down to my section which is now on the 7th I'll be 38 weeks. Scared and excited xx

Skl2021 · 26/10/2022 21:26

@sunnyd67 AHH the final stretch 🙌 how u doing? Hopefully not much longer to go now! 🤞X

sunnyd67 · 27/10/2022 08:33

@flowergarden16 exciting, not long at all! 🤞
@Skl2021 I am okay, but slightly worried and scared at the same time, just want him in my arms now. Slightly worried of how the birth will go and if he is going to be on the big side (according to the scan he is!) I really just want him to come, now would be great! 😂 I have also developed slight itching on my ankles, it is worse at night and once I start thinking about it I will like my whole body is itching, I will be phoning triage in just a bit...

RaliaMusca · 27/10/2022 13:53

Hi everyone, so lovely to read all your successes stories!

I'm also tentatively joining. I'm around 7-8 weeks along, not sure on dates because I conceived straight after a MMC that was surgically managed.
I've had a subchorionic haemorrhage so lots of bleeding and at a scan on Tuesday I measured only at 6+5 despite thinking I should be 7+4. So I'm driving myself absolutely crazy and am convinced it's going to end in a MC again.

barneymcgroo · 27/10/2022 14:05

@RaliaMusca 👋 Hello and welcome along. It's scary when you're not quite sure where you are. At that gestation, even minute differences in measurements make quite a lot of difference with regard to dates, so could be down to that. There's lots of support and kind people here, all been in a similar boat at one time or another. Hope this one sticks. Will be a long wait for your scan, but hope you're okay.

Skl2021 · 27/10/2022 15:15

@sunnyd67 I'm sure he will be here soon 🤞 how big is he measuring? Have u got a birth plan or going with the flow? I have never made a plan 🤣 and it's a good job as they never would of gone to plan! Hope the itching has eased! X

sunnyd67 · 27/10/2022 16:37

@Skl2021 he is big for my frame, I'm only 5ft3, at 38 weeks he was measuring 7lb14oz (3576g), so they said they would induce me as they don't want me to go over my due date, however, my due date is 3/11 and consultant app is on 8/11, which would be overdue anyway by the time they induce me if he doesn't come by then, I will enquire this on 1/11 when I have my midwife app. I have made a plan but if he doesn't come before the dates that will go through the window 😃

Skl2021 · 27/10/2022 18:21

@sunnyd67 try not to worry I don't trust scans completely as max was born a whole pound under what the growth scan said! So hopefully u wil be ok 🤞 my anaesthetist appointment was also after my due date 🤣🤦 mad how they book stuff in the wrong way round. Hopefully u get some answers at your next appointment. In the mean time try and relax and catch up on sleep. I'm exhausted 🤣🙈 xx

RaliaMusca · 27/10/2022 18:50

@barneymcgroo thanks for your kind words. I've got a call with the perinatal counselling team at my hospital tomorrow. Hopefully that will help my anxiety. I'm just constantly close to tears, it's awful.
I also don't have much in terms of pregnancy symptoms this time round. Previously had nausea, sore boobs, fatigue. This time very mild nausea and that's it. I worry the baby is just not developing as it should.
