Morning girls -

Oh no! Not more creme egg fanatics!! My antenatal thread is the Creme Egg Appreciation Soc and I caused a riot when I said they ming

We have no scales in our house anymore since they broke which is very liberating I only put on 16lbs with DS which was great at the time and then he talked out to be 5lbs at 41 weeks with a "crappy" placenta (consultant's words not mine!!!) so am hoping to grow a much bigger bump this time... also have no chance at a VBAC unless this one seems bigger which is worrying me as growth scans are notoriously unreliable (they told me DS was 6.5 lbs prior to birth) and I really want to try for a VBAC.

23 weeks tomorrow and have first midwife appointment, getting a bit real now Exactly a year ago, I conceived proto DC2, then lost it in March. Then another bean in May which I lost in July. On an Easy Jet flight. Nice. If you'd told me in the summer I'd be 23 weeks pg by valentine's day, I would NEVER have believed it.

For those lovely ladies right at the start of their pg journies, please don't give up and try to keep positive!!! (says the world's biggest worrier )

xx

Bloody hell basilbaby so fab to see you - I thought you had disappeared and 23 weeks CONGRATUMALATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

I am here to whisper my BFP news
Have fertility clinic appt tomoz (sods law) and handed in my notice last week and
am in denial and also symptom spotting like mad cos don't have as many this time - think I might be nearly 7 weeks but not sure as cycles so bloody long
anyhoo fab to see loads of my old friends on here - please cross everything for me - I really need it as am totally sh*tting myself and scared is all going to go (.)(.) up again

popcornprincess · 11/02/2008 13:38

I reckon you may know that answer to this - are you able to help please? I'm threading everywhere so please forgive me:

Yesterday we had sex 17 days after my medical miscarriage. I was 12 weeks pregnant but the baby had died at 9+6. I've done some research and so far discovered that you can get pregnant straight away after a miscarriage but what are my chances considering I only stopped bleeding 3 days ago?

perkypopsy · 11/02/2008 13:40

Thanks makescakes ...am struggling with getting anything done today - a nice sit down sounds about right

EllieG · 11/02/2008 13:58

POPSY! Is it you? Am so excited for you!

perkypopsy · 11/02/2008 14:12

hey ellie yes it is me - just a slightly less depressed more perky version - I changed it last month to try to trick myself into being positive looks like has worked
How are you? you must be mahooosive now and ready to drop? How are the wedding plans??

KashaSarrasin · 11/02/2008 14:20

OK, I'm finally delurking to out myself . I am definitely up the duff! I was briefly here at the end of last year but had a mmc and ERPC on Nov 21st. It looks like I fell pregnant again just 3 weeks later (so popcornprincess it can happen!) even though we were supposed to be waiting a while before trying again (it turns out beer is not a good contraceptive ).

I'm now 10+5 and have been too nervous to post here before now - I've basically been bleeding or spotting all the way through, including a massive bleed at about 7 weeks and another big one last Thursday. I've now had 4 (!) scans and each one has shown the baby to be growing fine and no visible cause for the bleeding. Frankly I could do without all the bleeding after already having had 2 miscarriages (Aug 07, Nov 07) but I'm reassured that the baby is OK and things are looking hopeful for an early September baby .

It's so good to see pictures of bumps! Mine is only little at the moment and I suspect mostly consists of cake .

EllieG · 11/02/2008 15:08

What nice news! Congrats kasha and popsy is all lovely, lovely.

popsy - I am indeed mahoosive and feel ready to drop though still have 9 weeks to go! Working lots and think will have to pop the sprog and store it under the desk as will never be ready to finish. Wedding plans are fine - not really thinking about it that much, will all sort itself out - is not a big bash and I don't like fuss.

When did you find out? When are you being scanned? Is Mr Popsy pleased? What will your cat think?

Do you know what threads nh is on? Wanted to pop by and see how she was doing.

becklespeckle · 11/02/2008 15:21

Woohoo Popsy & Kasha!

TJuice · 11/02/2008 16:56

POPSY!!!

KASHA!!!!

YAAAAY!!!!

that's chuffed my day right up (making no-sense whatsoever, but i am v. please)

re. bump pics - mine is definitely getting there but since i am quite big anyway and always wore loose clothes, its not looking that bumpy (not in those pics anyway).

Yippee for Kasha- there's a seat next to Popsy on the super-comfy sofa! So so pleased for you both.

NH101- and her twins- can be found on June thread, with the rest of the Creme Egg Appreciation Society ( and Basil who doesn't like Creme Eggs...wierdo!!!)

Oh and TJuice- that is the least lumpy, most glamorous bump I have EVER seen. Lucky moo wanders from the room looking for some biscuits in a bid to make herself feel better about looking LUMPY!!!

Hello all!

makecakesnotwar · 11/02/2008 17:56

see what you've done? Deleted the middle of my message....

Lucky moo! Mutter mutter! [Makecakes wanders from the room looking for some biscuits in a bid to make herself feel better about looking LUMPY!!!]

DonDons · 11/02/2008 18:20

thanks girls for making me feel better (again!) and not the only nut job out there

yay to all the new BFPs and newly ex-lurkers (Kasha!! good to see you back again) - healthy and well healthy and well...

will attempt to get photo of my bump up here this week....looking at all of your has made me realise I have no pictures of me being visibly pregnant at all....must get some evidence before it is too late.....

basilbrush · 11/02/2008 18:20

feedmenow · 11/02/2008 19:29

More newbies!! Hooray!

When I hear Ellie and Jules say how many weeks pg they are it always really surprises me! It seems that time goes quicker for others than it does for me

I saw m/wife today (well, m/husband actually!) and am surprised that I go again in 2 weeks. So far I've been seen at 9weeks (booking), 16 weeks, 28 weeks and 34 weeks, so HUGE gaps between visits, and now I see them again in just 2 weeks? I guess things must be getting close Good thing dp is up in the baby's room as I speak doing the decorating!

EllieG · 11/02/2008 19:34

I know feedmenow - I got all suprised at same thing - apparently they start seeing you every two weeks after 30 weeks. I like it as is good chance for me to air all my paranoia and issues and listen to baby heartbeat.
