Big welcome to Kasha and Popsy, nice to see some more people from the avengers thread.

i had my scan today and everything is ok so far, right size, heartbeat and all! Felt all tearful afterwards, and I'm still worrying, but at least it's still ok at the moment

TwilightSurfer · 11/02/2008 20:34

Popcornprincess I had a natural miscarriage and conceived 17 days later...15 days if you count the last bit of the placenta passing. So YES you can get pregnant immediately following a MC.

splishsplosh!! FANTASTIC news! How many weeks are you atm? Really hope things aren't getting you down too much and that everything works out for you xx

Good to hear from you twilight! How's things with you?

Great great news popsy and Kasha - Kasha can't believe you're 10 weeks already, bet it doesn't feel like the time's gone quickly to you though! xx

splishsplosh · 11/02/2008 21:08

Thanks Kate - I'm 7+1, though the scan said 6+5 - but what do they know - on the notes they've given me they've put my lmp as 11/05/05!!!!

kate2179 · 11/02/2008 21:12

11/05/05 huh? That's SOME cycle! Even if you are 6+5 rather than 7+1 that's nothing to worry about, may just mean that implantation happened slightly later than you thought or some such.... Time will tell!

TwilightSurfer · 11/02/2008 22:14

Hangin in here Kate. Thanks. 13+2 today. Bigger now than I was with DD at 20 weeks. ARGH!! Tried to do some necessary house cleaning but still hindered by massive exhaustion. So far so good...text book since day one so I can't complain.

Twilight - we did the deed exactly 17 days after mc!!!!! - you have given me hope. Thanks so much

makecakesnotwar · 12/02/2008 08:50

OMG- goingfor3, NH and I are nearly halfway up the list[shick]. OMG- how did that happen?

Hooray for splish-splosh. Scanning is very tear-making. Actually, pregnancy is very tearful...

makecakesnotwar · 12/02/2008 08:52

oh, and Tjuice- don't knock it until you've tried it- pickled onions work very well with curry!!!

EllieG · 12/02/2008 09:13

pickled onions work well with almost anything.

Yey for splishsplosh and her positive scan!

perkypopsy · 12/02/2008 09:26

Hi everyone thanks for the fab messages - can't believe they are for me this time...(popsy weeps over keyboard).

DH very happy but we're both trying really hard to not get excited after last time - then last night we decided we may as well be super positive cos it'll be shit if we lose it however we behave now...

Cat is ignoring me - I think she knows something - I have been trying to change the bed this morning - ended up lying in a nautious exhausted heap for half an hour between the sheets and pillowcases...

We're off to see fertility person today - kept appt incase they'll scan us as think am somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks. I always said I wouldn't have one cos last MC was at 10 weeks but what the hey I NEED TO SEE SOMETHING

Still trying not to stress that have packed the job in - even applying for new job today YIKES!

AMAZED to hear everyones dates and realise I know all the names on the list- and how far along you all are - HOORAY for the knickerchecker laydeeeeez
god I have LIVED and BREATHED MN for over a year now...what was life like before MN???

congrats kasha - you stuck it out lurking post - I am crap at not taking

Hey Ellie, basil, kate, TJ, Jules, Beckle (!!!), splishy, twighlight (popsy waves madly even though only cat can see )

Swaliswan · 12/02/2008 09:48

Hey Ladies. Can I join you?

I'm going absolutely mad with knickerchecking! Yesterday I got a BFP and then was stupid enough to re-test this morning with DH there this time. The test was still positive but was feinter than yesterday. Now I'm going out of my mind. I had an mc a few years ago and was terrible with knickerchecking and re-testing whilst pg with DD. I thought that I would be better this time but I'm worse!

spugs · 12/02/2008 10:14

hiya to everyone esp newbies

swailswan - tests can vary depending on type, how much you ve had to drink, what time it is etc so try not to worry (so much easier to say i know)

EllieG · 12/02/2008 10:43

Hi swaliswan! Welcome to the thread. Try not to worry - is very rare to get a false positive x

Have your tried clearblue digital? They are good - no margin for error.

hey pops! Sorry the cat is ignoring you, but he'll come round. Completely understand about early scan - I didn't want one but then REALLY did. Just wanted to have seen LO alive and kicking once even if went tits up later. But positive thinking lady - healthy and well, this one will be fine

Julezboo · 12/02/2008 10:48

Hey girls

Hope you dont mind me popping in. My bleeding isnt really bleeding. Worst of all the sickness is really bad. If my pregnancy is failing why do i feel worse and worse each day? I cant keep anything down. So very tempted to pop into EPAU tomorrow whilst Im up there with DS at same hospital and see what they think.

Julezboo (should be 6+2)

Swaliswan · 12/02/2008 10:50

Early scans are so reassuring. I ended up having one at five weeks and one at six weeks last time due to pain then bleeding. It was fantastic to see DD was in the right place and then that her heart was beating. I doubt that I'll be able to convince the GP this time though just for reassurance purposes. We automatically get a dating scan at about 12 weeks and can have the NT scan if wanted. If I remember correctly, I saw the midwife for the first time at about 8 weeks last time. No idea when I'll see one this time though as the midwife is on mat leave (how inconsiderate!) so the clinic doesn't always run.

hunofmonsters · 12/02/2008 11:12

Just popping on so you know i am still around!!

Have had to bring forward my MW appt to this week as i am SOOOOOOOO itchy. Want to rule out the liver thing (obstetric cholastsi or something like that)

35 weeks now....and with it being one thing after another i am really ready to hold my LO now

EllieG · 12/02/2008 13:32

I'm itchy too! Is horrid. Have had all the liver tests and all fine, which is good, so am jsut slapping on the E45 cream and trying not to scratch

EllieG · 12/02/2008 13:33

julez - fingers crossed for you. I would go to EPU to check just for peace of mind.

perkypopsy · 12/02/2008 17:23

hi ladies just back from epu - saw most AMAZING consultant -treated me like a person and said halleluiah when i told him our news . Booked in for a scan on thursday morning and he said will get me booked into his clinic in next couple of weeks for a 2nd scan if this one okay . Feel really positive cos someone seems to care and have now had a good experience at the hozzy
fingers and toes and eyes crossed for thursday...ummm and eeryday after that

Have been given some progesterone pessaries to thicken my womb lining - has anyone else been given that? He says all women in his clinic get them as a matter of course...

Ellie I forgot to ask - how is you DSD? I bet she can't wait to have a big brother/sister?

I have not been here for a long while now..........
I am really so so worried.

This is my 7th pregnancy. I have had 6 m/c's since 2004. I am not sure I can take this anymore. I am so trying to keep positive. 5 weeks today. I am going to hospital in the morning am under Prof Reagan at St Marys here in London.
To be quite honest with you, I beleive they are clutching at straws. They don't really know what has caused the previous loses.
They have tried everything. I am already on Clexane and two baby aspirin a day.
I have tried this b4 (twice b 4) and nothing.......
This is driving me insane....

WHY CAN'T I HAVE A BABY?

EllieG · 12/02/2008 20:35

Oh oinker that is so sad. I only had one MC so can't imagine how desperate you must be feeling, I only know that I was.
Loads and loads of love and luck to you and your little bean, I hope this is the right time for both of you.
What stages did your other MC happen? If you don't mind me asking.

pops - great news about lovely consultant, am so pleased you've got someone nice who is really recognising how you are feeling.
DSD is SO SO excited about her little sis coming. A bit of insecurity at times, but we keep reassuring her about how much we love her, and she is just really happy mostly. I think it has reassured her that I'm not going anywhere!

oinker · 12/02/2008 20:47

All my m/c's have been b 4 week 7.....

It's crazy.

I have been diagnosed with thick blood.... hence the heparin and 150mg of aspirin.

I really need some positive vibes....
