RE exercise, I’ve not done anything other than the normal pottering around. The day my bright red bleeding started and I miscarried with my previous pregnancy, was right after exercising. I know there’s no evidence that it can cause miscarriage but it’s stuck with me and I’ve become apprehensive. Plus, I’ve go no energy at the minute and not a second to myself. I definitely need to start back up but need ti find the motivation 🙈
You’re all making me jealous with these scan dates haha! 🤣 I’ve still not got mine - hoping I’m given one after my midwife appointment.
@thedust and @CaliGirl47 Yes, I did think it would be nice to have that period before they start school and then plenty of bonding time with baby during the day. Also works out nicely because I’ll be able to do school pick-ups and drop offs (and won’t miss DS’s first day) since I’ll be on mat leave. 🥰 I would have absolutely hated it if I missed that!
kids are so resilient that I’m sure your little one will take everything in their stride @thedust.
@FLA92 Yes, sex can continue as normal. I remember having to be a bit creative with my first during the third trimester as the bump does get in the way a bit, but no impact in first trimester. Not to disagree with what @LondonBundleOfJoy said, I don’t think there’s any medical evidence to suggest it causes miscarriage (as far as I’m aware, at least). I remember having a conversation with my midwife when pregnant with my first and she told me they’d only put you on pelvic rest if you were bleeding and that’s because of infection risk, not risk of miscarriage.
@Rose785 You may be lucky and not get sickness! I didn’t with DS! More commonly though, it starts sometime in the 6th week. I feel like I’ve had nausea forever but it was at its worse yesterday and seems to have calmed down a bit today (I’m 6+5).
@Blossomhoney Sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell! I hope you’re on the mend now and get some relief from the sickness soon - could you maybe see if your GP could prescribe something?
@BellaTheDarkOverlord I wouldn’t worry too much about the CB. Some women just have naturally lower HCG levels to begin with. The main thing is that it’s rising - maybe normal tests would give you reassurance if the line progresses over 48 hours (although your lines might already be super dark at this stage so possibly not).
