I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

Tested positive today! Due around 21st June. Summer solstice baby 🌞

Quokka7 · 15/10/2022 10:40

@B1993 I'm also suffering with insomnia. Like @DrinkingAllTheGin n I'm waking up at 4 or 5am most days.

@Babybaby66 how much is your harmony test if you dont mind saying? I'm debating it still, because I'm older and after my previous pregnancy I'm thinking it might be better to know earlier if anything's not looking right. But for the sake of two/three weeks I dont know whether to. It might not have picked up the previous problem anyway...I definitely feel anxious about any future scans now so putting myself through any extra one makes me feel a little queasy (more queasy than I already feel at the moment!)

Babybaby66 · 15/10/2022 11:09

@KimVO congratulations!!

@Quokka7 its about £350 so not cheap. But this includes an early dating scan that I’m having at about 7 weeks (as currently I just cannot believe there is an actual baby in there…!)
i’m 34 and no real risk factors for chromosome issues but decided to go for the test as it’s what most of my friends did too…it can be used in conjunction with the NHS screening. I think the NHS give you a ‘1 in x’ chance and the NIPT testing gives you more of a ‘yes/no’. I could be totally wrong here though.

I’ve currently only paid a deposit for the dating scan at the moment with the option to add on the harmony testing. I may still decide not to do it as it’s a lot of money!

sorry that was a bit of a brain dump there!

Rose785 · 15/10/2022 12:20

I have my flu jab booked for tomorrow. I didn't know about the covid one as I thought that was done by age group?

Yes I will find out the gender. I really don't mind either way just healthy plz but whenever I think of the baby inside of me I always think it's a boy!!!

Algor1thm · 15/10/2022 12:24

@Rose785 they said 5+5 when my dates would have been 6+2. But according to those dates I would have ovulated on 17th and tested positive on 21st which is impossible. I'm going to trust and go by my dates still as I know when I ovulated.

DrinkingAllTheGin · 15/10/2022 12:29

@Rose785 it's also for vulnerable groups which we all are now.
If you book online it asks you if you are pregnant and when you say yes it lets you book.

Hello everyone I’d like to (cautiously) join 😊I’m only 4+2. We unfortunately had a MMC at 12 weeks in August so I’m very anxious about this one. This is our first baby.

Only symptoms I’ve had so far are lower back pain and mood swings (I lost my rag with poor DP when he made me miss the first 10 minutes of Bake Off 😅)

Hello! Congratulations on your BFP! Hope I’m okay to (very) tentatively join as only at 4 weeks exactly - had a BFP 3 days ago following a monitored cycle with letrozole, hcg trigger and progesterone pessaries - we had two early losses in February and August this year so quite anxious and finding it a struggle to be optimistic. This will be baby no1 if it sticks 🤞🏽- I have exactly the same symptoms with mood swings and killer lower back ache. Have had some lower pelvic cramping and weird sleep too but not much else. Sore boobs were always my first sign with previous pregnancies so a bit odd that hasn’t materialised yet!

LondonBundleOfJoy · 15/10/2022 12:36

@Algor1thm good morning,

Definitely trust yourself and gut feeling, especially if you keep a track of ovulation days like myself with Fertility friend app (still using it to mark all I feel daily +supplements intake)

I am due to received Clearblue digital test this afternoon to check the progress of weeks... I keep testing daily with strips, the last 2 days lines were lighter. Trying not to worry, but had a miscarriage after Valentine's day.

Question about Halloween meeting for with our growing Bundles of Joy:

How about to arrange a meeting with our Mini-Bumps - Pumkins around half-term in the next 2 weeks in London, we can book a table perhaps ? Like the idea?

CaliGirl47 · 15/10/2022 12:37

Ooh that is very exciting! @B1993 I’ve always wondered about the sneak peek test. Can’t wait to hear about your experience with it.

I definitely want to find out the gender. 💗💙 Not sure whether I will book a private scan or wait until the 20 week NHS one and find out then. I don’t have any clue what baby is yet. But I’m much more nauseous this time than I was in my pregnancy with DD 🥴 So the thought of twins has crossed my mind 😅😂 but last time I was convinced I was having twins and I didn’t. So I’m not very good at guessing these things. Haha. But this pregnancy definitely feels different so far…..whether that means anything or not.

Congratulations! @KimVO and @Texasholdem20 🎉🎈🎈🎈

NalaNana · 15/10/2022 12:50

@Algor1thm at my scan last Friday I was dated 5+5 and couldn't really see baby and definitely not a heartbeat, the sonographer was happy and said that was all she'd expect to see. As you saw a baby with a heartbeat, I'd think you're further along than that and it was just a measuring issue! X

LondonBundleOfJoy · 15/10/2022 13:05

@Texasholdem20 Congratulations & Welcome to the June Babies Team!!

I am also 4,5 weeks pregnant, its my 3rd after having a big break (my youngest girl is 12 now). Also miscarriage this year, so due to test today once Amazon delivery will arrive to test with Clearblue how many weeks is now to make sure the hormone is progressing.

My early pregnancy signs are so far:

Waking up hungry at 6AM!
Sore tender breasts
Occasional back ache
Occasional headaches
Felt dizzy twice only( last week)
Keep running to the loo sometimes every half hour! (rediculous) 🙂

Suggesting to meet in London the next 2 weeks with our growing Mini-Pumpkins! Feel free to inbox me privately too. Have a splendid day! X

Rosie2023 · 15/10/2022 13:32

Update, started bleeding 4 days before period was due and my tests are now becoming quite negative

Tor88 · 15/10/2022 13:34

@Texasholdem20 welcome! I've also had two losses this year (at 9 weeks in Feb and at 6 weeks in June) and this would be my first child too so I totally get how you feel, it's incredibly anxiety inducing!! We just have to take it a day at a time but I do really wish I could just sleep through the next 6 weeks or something 😅😅

Sending lots of luck your way

CaliGirl47 · 15/10/2022 13:54

So sorry 😔 @Rosie2023 💗

I’m so sorry for your losses, it’s so tough and certainly for me it’s making everything tinged with worry (going to the loo has never been so anxiety inducing) but also congratulations! Sending very sticky wishes and luck your way!
totally second being able to sleep through! Even just to get to 6 weeks and see a heartbeat would ease up my stress so much!

Texasholdem20 · 15/10/2022 13:58

Thank you! I have all the same save for the sore boobs which have not made an appearance this time. Can’t decide whether it’s a blessing or a curse not to be squeezing them inappropriately every 5 minutes to check they still hurt the same as before - oh this whole glorious experience! 😂

Texasholdem20 · 15/10/2022 13:59

So so sorry to hear this. Please look after yourself and make sure you get all the support you need xx

B1993 · 15/10/2022 14:18

@Quokka7 I've just had a nap or an hour or two so feeling slightly more perky but my eyes a still hurting from lack of sleep in general.

Congratulations @Texasholdem20! My boobs never hurt with my son... his was a relatively symptomless pregnancy on the whole though!

@LondonBundleOfJoy I'm HOURS away from London so wouldn't be something I'm interested in. I think there a few ladies on here closer by or you could look into local pregnancy and mum groups in your area 😊

@CaliGirl47 I'll definitely let you know how it goes! I won't be taking it until mid of next week as I want to be closer to 7 weeks, but hoping that'll mean I'll have my results by end of next week/early the following week.

While my symptoms have been a bit different from my first, I'm thinking it's another boy 🤔💙

B1993 · 15/10/2022 14:20

@Rosie2023 I'm so sorry you're going through this! Be kind to yourself and when you're ready to try again, I hope your rainbow comes quickly! 🌈💕

Rosie2023 · 15/10/2022 14:28

I will be okay, thankyou for your responses. I wish you all the best and hope that everything goes well for you all baby dust 💗 💖 💕

DrinkingAllTheGin · 15/10/2022 14:37

Been for my jab and was offered both covid and flu. Now taking it easy for the afternoon.

B1993 · 15/10/2022 14:45

is anyone else on here worried about getting the covid jab? This report (www.gov.uk/government/publications/regulatory-approval-of-pfizer-biontech-vaccine-for-covid-19/summary-public-assessment-report-for-pfizerbiontech-covid-19-vaccine) from August suggests it might not be safe?! I've highlighted a passage from it below.

I've read so much conflicting information and don't know what to do for the best. I've been fully vaccinated up to this point and will have any recommended vaccinations but I've read that they cannot advise one way or the other as they just don't know how safe it is in pregnancies... 😬

NalaNana · 15/10/2022 14:48

@B1993 how strange I was literally just looking into this and discussing with friends! The NHS website is quite frank that it's the right thing to do. I wasn't going to have another booster as my last one made me more poorly than covid did, but given the additional risks in pregnancy I think I will. I might wait a little while though so it's still very effective for the third trimester which seems to be the most dangerous time to get it!

B1993 · 15/10/2022 14:57

@NalaNana I did see that too! I think I'm going to discuss it with the midwife the week after next when I see them. There's definitely a lot to think about!

Tinkerbell098 · 15/10/2022 15:04

Just wondering if anyone’s used the CB digital with weeks indicator? I’m 5 weeks and it’s still showing as 1-2 weeks? Expected to say at least 2-3? Should I be worried?
