I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay , we are due date twins!! I will be 40th in a couple of weeks myself.

B1993 · 13/10/2022 10:26

Had my scan! All is looking good 🥺😭🤩🥳
The baby is still tiny - around 4.2mm! So I was dated at 5-6 weeks. I still think I'm spot on with ovulation dates so hopefully the later scan confirms that. I also got to see a tiny flickering heartbeat 😭🥰😍💗 Couldbt be more happy!

Yay that’s amazing news!

WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay · 13/10/2022 10:36

@B1993 that's wonderful!

@HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel How lovely to have a due date twin! I am a June baby myself and have always loved having sunny birthdays ☀

Veryxonfused · 13/10/2022 10:42

I’m a June baby too and also a rainbow baby & my original due date was 1st June which is my baby’s due date according to LMP so it’s weirdly giving me a bit of hope haha

Veryxonfused · 13/10/2022 10:44

Also I was my mums second pregnancy, first baby which would be my situation too if this one sticks

Kappi · 13/10/2022 10:44

Tentatively joining as I'm only 6+1 and had some strange feeling/pain but not quite painful- a bit like when you press a bruise.. feeling in my ovaries and across my uterus.

I have 2 small cysts on my ovaries, discovered at last pregnancy which sadly ended at 8 weeks. No bleeding but boob tenderness fluctuating.

Naturally thinking the worst.

Hoping all is well at scan tomorrow and to remain in group!

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 13/10/2022 10:48

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay yes! My due date is the day after my sister's birthday!

My son is a July baby so I'll have two little summer kids!

CaliGirl47 · 13/10/2022 10:57

That’s wonderful news! @B1993 I’m so pleased for you. What a relief for you. 💕 So glad all is well.

Congratulations! @Kappi Welcome, and all the best for your scan tomorrow.

B1993 · 13/10/2022 10:57

@HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel My son is a July baby too! He just turned 3 this past July so there will be an almost 4 year gap between my two (I'm think that far ahead now everything went well with the scan!).

B1993 · 13/10/2022 10:59

@Veryxonfused, @WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay and @CaliGirl47 Thank you so much! 💕 It's a huge relief 😅 and can finally start to relax a bit more!!

Rose785 · 13/10/2022 11:06

@B1993 Congratulations! You must be thrilled to see everything is doing ok! Thanks for sharing a pic! It's amazing to think this tiny precious thing is growing everyday.

I had some weird thoughts yesterday... I thought this time next year I will have a 4 month old. And babies being born now will be in the same school year as our babies!

@WarriorsComeOutToPlayaaay thanks for sharing your opinion, I am happy for mumsnet to be able to share my pregnancy with someone!

Aly1316 · 13/10/2022 11:42

@B1993 so pleased for you, that’s great news.

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 13/10/2022 12:05

@B1993 so glad the scan went well!!

theodora2146 · 13/10/2022 12:13

Just had my scan, they can see the sac and the yolk sac but nothing else. They said it maybe because I'm earlier than what I've calculated or the pregnancy has ended. I've got another scan next week to check if they can see anything.

I'm still getting symptoms, tiredness, really sore boobs, bloating, frequent urination, I've had nothing that would make me feel or think it's going to be a miscarriage. I've had no pain apart from mild cramps and no bleeding.

B1993 · 13/10/2022 12:14

@Rose785, @Aly1316 and @HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel Thank you all 💜 I'm feeling more relaxed about everything now! I read somewhere that if you see the heartbeat at 6 weeks, there's a 90% chance of carrying to term. I feel likes the odds are in my favour and now everything is as it should be for this stage so I can breathe again!

@Rose785 It's an interesting thought about school year and got me thinking. My son turned 3 in July and my nephew turned 3 in September (so 2.5 month age difference) but they'll be in different school years. I have a niece arriving any day now and our second won't be born until June so roughtly an 8 month age gap but they'll be in the same school year!

NalaNana · 13/10/2022 12:17

@B1993 congrats!

@theodora2146 how far along did you think you were and do you know when you ovulated? Try not to worry too much I've seen lots of threads on here from people who expected to see more and went back a week later and saw their baby ✨ x

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 13/10/2022 12:18

@theodora2146Dobt worry Xx I had a scan at 6weeks+2 and saw a yoke and sac with first baby. Then at 7weeks+1 another scan found heartbeat and baby. Not scans said I was measuring correctly. Maybe it's just too early yet xx

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 13/10/2022 12:19

Don't not dobt. Both not not. This old phone randomly posts before I finish😑

Babybaby66 · 13/10/2022 12:19

Hi everyone. Exciting to see some of the June baby scan pictures coming through!

Just had my first couple of appointments through - I’ve got a blood test at about 7 weeks, booking in at 9 weeks and the scan at 13 weeks…

does that sound about right?

B1993 · 13/10/2022 12:21

@theodora2146 How are you feeling? I'm sorry they couldn't see more but sounds promising as far as your symptoms are concerned. As they've said, you could have ovulated later which would make you earlier than anticipated. I was told at mine today that early scans (at 5-6 weeks) aren't actually that accurate and they can be up to 5 days out. I should technically be 7 weeks today, but I know I ovulated later so am actually 6+1 and was still only dated as 5-6 weeks so up to a week behind what I am in reality!

Hopefully the wait until your next scan goes quickly and it brings more postive news!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

B1993 · 13/10/2022 12:39

@Babybaby66 That all sounds about right to me! If you Google it, the nhs have a list of antenatal appointments by week. 👍🏻

DrinkingAllTheGin · 13/10/2022 17:12

Saw my midwife today, bloods etc taken.

Booking in appointment made.
Had to tell my manager, but she is very supportive so that's good.

Fredthespider · 13/10/2022 18:52

I’ve told a few people at work, it’s quite hard to hide how rough I’m feeling and having to run to the toilets to be sick is going to prompt questions! My manager countered by telling me that she’s also pregnant which I’m genuinely thrilled about. It’s her first and she was so excited that we’ll get to share the journey together but she’s 6 weeks ahead of me 🥰

We are feeling a little disappointed but hopeful it maybe that I ovulated late so could be earlier than what I think. I even took a test today and it's still a very strong positive line. Just a waiting game and will find out more next week.

B1993 · 13/10/2022 20:00

@Fredthespider it's good that you have someone to share the journey with 💜

I think it's generally best to follow your gut in regards to telling people. There's no right or wrong.

@theodora2146 It's great that you're remaining postive! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for next weeks scan 🤞🏻
