Welcome to all the new joiners!! Exciting times ahead for everyone!! 💗
@Hannah310523 I saw a heartbeat at 6+2 with my son and was told at 7 weeks you have a very high chance of seeing it. Although it won't look like a baby at that stage and will be more of a 'blob'.
@Piggieinthemiddle I agree, try not to worry too much about where you want to give birth at this stage. The local hospitals will offer tours and classes at a later date so you can make a more informed decision.
@Tawny2022 I felt just like this when I didn't get my 3+ at on the day I should have been 5 weeks! For me, I had one by 5+2 so that eased my mind. If I were you, I'd wait a few days and then try again.
There are a few reasons why you wouldn't get the result you expected though. Firstly, there's a huge range of normal when it comes to hCG levels. I'll include some charts comparing the the hCG levels compared when the number the CBD needs. Also, it could also be that you ovulated later than you think. Going by my m/c bleeding I would be a whole 6 days earlier than I actually am, as I didn't ovulate until CD21. The tests can also give different results depending on the diluation of your urine so if you have lots to drink and a short hold, you could get fewer weeks than if you tested with concentrated urine. The time of day can even impact results, for me, my strip tests were always darker in the evening!
I hope that helps ease your mind a bit! The best thing to do if you are worried is to book a reassurance scan as the tests aren't an exact science.
