I've just found out I'm expecting my second baby the first week of June 2023 - anyone else? Early days, so being cautious, but can't help feeling excited!

Not crazy active yet, trying to get conversations going. 😊

zinrepus · 10/10/2022 18:06

@Tor88 my husband asked me the other day if I remembered when I got tired. Because it became our lives. I would sit on the couch for lunch and pass out for half an hour and sometimes longer going back to work late. 🙈 I know it's coming for me, but don't know when...not that I'm super chipper right now, but it's not the bone aching tired I know is coming...

Tor88 · 10/10/2022 18:10

@zinrepus omg is it going to get worse 😅😅 I'm only 5+4!!

I did have this in my first two pregnancies too (these ended in miscarriage) but I'm sure it's worse this time! I'm hoping that's a good sign... Or its the progesterone, OR its twins!

I just can't shake that foggy fatigue

zinrepus · 10/10/2022 18:13

There were a few weeks when I was heavily pregnant when I'd lie on my back on the floor of my (home) office with my knees up and feet flat. Figured I'd get uncomfortable and not fall asleep properly. Worked to shake the tired at 10:30 or so. 😂 Then I'd have a lunchtime nap and go to bed early. 🙃

VikingsandDragons · 10/10/2022 18:25

Unfortunately I'm ducking out of this thread now, after spotting all weekend period has arrived today. At least we know we CAN get pregnant, so I just have to hope we don't need to wait another 5 years to see a BFP again. Wishing everyone a very healthy and happy 9 months x

Fredthespider · 10/10/2022 18:40

So sorry to hear that @VikingsandDragons , they say you’re usually more fertile after a loss and that was the case for me previously so I have everything crossed that next month will be good for you x

DrinkingAllTheGin · 10/10/2022 18:53

Sorry to hear that @VikingsandDragons
Look after yourself.

B1993 · 10/10/2022 19:11

RE fatigue, I've been feeling very tired too. I've had a cold and slight nausea as well, all of which I've complained about at work. 🙈 Hopefully no one cottons on just yet and just puts it down to my cold. I think I covered myself today when I said that I was feeling a bit sick by mentioning the birthday parties I'd taken DS to at the weekend and suggested I'd picked up
another bug. They seemed to belive it, anyway😅

I don't plan to tell work until at least 12 weeks but hoping it'll actually be closer to 20. I only have a couple of days left of this week before half term - we get 2 weeks in my area so won't be back until the end of month. By that point I'll be around 8.5 weeks and hoping to hide my huge bloat belly with my baggy work fleece until hopefully after the Christmas end of term holidays!!! Obviously if my sickness gets bad or anything changes before that point, I'll let them know but quite happy keeping it to myself for now.

B1993 · 10/10/2022 19:16

@VikingsandDragons Well done to you for thinking about the silver lining here. It's a hard thing to experience and I know lots of us on this thread have been in your shoes. But, like someone else said, your chances of conceiving are supposedly increased after a loss. I found out I was pregnant the following month so I do think there's truth in that. Be kind to yourself and I'm wishing you lots of sticky baby dust when you feel ready to try again 💖

Okapi99 · 10/10/2022 19:31

Sorry to hear vikingsanddragons. Good luck for next month x

I had an early scan yesterday, dates me 5+3. Rescan on Sunday to hopefully see baby.

@ExcitedandNervousC1 Congratulations! we are so close to each other. I am nearly 4 weeks. Maybe we could meet in London if you live not too far? I am based on the border of London and Essex myself. Unless we arrange a meeting for all mummies with bumps somewhere at the cafe or at Whetherspoons perhaps?

LondonBundleOfJoy · 10/10/2022 20:38

@Okapi99 Wow its nice to see a picture, still see something! Where did you go, which private clinic it is please? We're you able to hear the heartbeat? Congratulations & thank you for sharing with us! xx

No, no baby or heartbeat yet. Its still too early, hopefully on Sunday I'll have a proper baby in there 😊

skyofdiamonds · 11/10/2022 06:45

Just an update 6+0 now and admitted to hospital with severe hyperemesis.
it is truly awful 😢
they’ve not yet found a drug that works and I can keep down absolutely nothing at all!

B1993 · 11/10/2022 07:23

@Okapi99 Sorry if you've said, but was this a private scan or EPU due to concerns? I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can see more on Sunday! 🤞🏻

Mine is only a couple of days away now... excited and nervous 😅

@skyofdiamonds I'm so sorry to hear that you've been so poorly! I cannot imagine how awful this must be!! I hope they manage to find something that works and I hope it's sooner than later for you!! Remind me, is this your first pregnancy or did you suffer with it a previous pregancy too?

Algor1thm · 11/10/2022 07:34

Bless you @skyofdiamonds I hope they've found something now. I thought mine was bad but I am able to keep plain stuff down in the afternoons, with the medication.

Things that are helping my nausea-

Eating crackers with the first onset of hunger (6am when I was half aslp and fell aslp with cracker in my mouth)
Ice pops
Lemon ginger tea
Love heart sweets

The nausea is all day and I can't do anything struggling so bad

Rosie2023 · 11/10/2022 09:54

Hi everyone, I'm also cautiously joining in too.
45 cycles later... we have had our BFP at 7dpo. 😭

My due date would be June 23rd as far as the dates are concerned.

LondonBundleOfJoy · 11/10/2022 10:10

@ellie74x congratulations!
My baby is due also around 20th June! Maybe we should meet for hot chocolate oand a happy chat? Happy to meet in Central London one day. Take care of yourself x

LondonBundleOfJoy · 11/10/2022 10:13

@Rosie2023 good morning, thank you for sharing your BFP! I am due around 20th or just after, so we must be both 3-4 weeks now. Congratulations. I have sent a Self-referral already to hospital, midwife has confirmed they have received my referral, but no any indication when the appointment will be...

Rosie2023 · 11/10/2022 10:43

Aw congratulations to you. Its lovely to hear, I hope they get back to you soon with details of your appointment. I'm waiting until I've missed my period before I do the same. I'm finding it hard to believe right now

Aly1316 · 11/10/2022 11:38

Morning ladies,
I’ve been silently stalking this thread for the last week, we got our BFP last Monday after 10 years of nothing and failed IVF 6 years ago, we decided what will be will be and assumed we would never get pregnant so we’re both very surprised with our positives.
It’s quite funny as we’d been in Las Vegas for a wedding, got home and tested positive for Covid for the first time despite working in healthcare during the entire pandemic, assumed that was why my period was a bit late and why I was feeling nauseous…. A few days later decided to do a test and got my first every positive on a pregnancy test too!
According to the NHS calculator our due date is 7th June.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 11/10/2022 11:40

Congrats to those newcomers! Goodluck with sticky bean.

@skyofdiamonds Hope you're feeling better now and they have found something to help you.

I'm tired today. Off work on rest days now until Friday. Took DD to school and went back to bed for 2 hours! Still very little symptoms currently except bloating. I'm toying with early scan in next two weeks but don't want one so early. 5 weeks+4 today.

CaliGirl47 · 11/10/2022 12:14

Wow massive congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 @Aly1316 So pleased you got your BFP. What a journey you have had.

Welcome to all the other recent BFP as well.

So sorry to hear about your HG. @skyofdiamonds I really hope they can offer you some relief soon. 😔

@BellaTheDarkOverlord I am so sorry to hear about your spotting. Glad it seems to have eased off now. And at least you have the reassurance that your previous successful pregnancy was similar circumstances. I honestly didn’t have many symptoms until 6 weeks. The occasional sore boob here or there. But man all of the sudden I feel so tired and like I’m constantly feeling car sick. Dizzy.. like everything is spinning and the only thing that helps is to lie down.

Not sure if this is normal. I’ve also been having some heart flutters accompanied by these feelings of dizziness. Idk if it’s all the increased blood flow. I haven’t got my booking appointment through yet, but if it carries on too much into next week I might try to just check with GP that all is okay. Currently 6+2 today.

CaliGirl47 · 11/10/2022 12:30

So sorry @VikingsandDragons I’ve just gone further back and saw your post. I’m so sorry for what you are going through. But just to reaffirm what the others have said about being more fertile after a loss. I had a similar experience. After I miscarried at 12 weeks I fell pregnant the next cycle with a successful pregnancy. I hope you find peace and healing in the coming days. ❤️❤️❤️
