I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@Cassarat my sickness is so similar! Always in the eve 🤢 glad I’m not the only mong 🤣
that’s so exciting let me know how it goes. Mines next Saturday. I’m feeling anxious this week as we get closer to the scan I have the fear of the baby stopping growing or no heartbeat

xx

Ugh I’ve now had some brown discharge. I’ve sunk into the terrible mindset. I know it can be normal but just hard to think like that when it happens

@Sprinklerainbows I did as well a day before my 12 week scan then the other day but it was only a little bit. It's hard not to worry about it isn't it - especially because it's not what you want to see. But I'm slowly telling myself unless you literally have tonnes of it then it's completely normal xx

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 09:57

@xalexandra thats reassuring to know. I literally feel depressed
luckily I have a scan booked for this Saturday so hopefully will see the baby is okay at that scan

@Sprinklerainbows why don't you try moving your scan as I'm sure waiting around probably doesn't help 😒

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 13:20

@xalexandra i was thinking this actually. Luckily I’ve not had anymore brown discharge but just keeping a close eye c

@Sprinklerainbows these things are such a worry and with bad past experiences it's hard to relax! Anyone who hasn't had a miscarriage before probably wouldn't think anything of it but we over analyse any tiny thing! Xx

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 15:09

@xalexandra 1000% not a single day goes by without some kind of worry 😅 looking forward for the 12 week scan so I can relax a little

@Sprinklerainbows can't be long now? 🥰

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 15:47

@xalexandra mines ages away it’s booked for when I’m 14 weeks 😩

xalexandra · 17/10/2022 15:56

@Sprinklerainbows oh - well at least when you get to 14 weeks you'll feel EVEN more relieved because it's even further on! Plus your scan picture will be lovely and clear 😄

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 16:18

@xalexandra haha true! Feels like forever away but I will be happy afterwards. I had mine at 13 weeks with my son and it really was an amazingly clear scan x

Ah I’m so sorry about the discharge! But remember I had that a couple weeks ago for a few days and it ended up being completely normal! I had my private scan today and measuring 9 weeks exactly (instead of the 9+1 I thought) but 1 day out is fine even though every little thing worries me haha.
we saw the heartbeat again and baby measuring at 2.3cm xx

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 18:08

@Cassarat Yes I did think of you when it happened because I remember you were convinced it was the worst case. I’ve had more discharge now it’s like dark! Like coffee. I rang the epu but they were completely unbothered which I did expect 🤣😅

oh that’s such good news! Omg o wouldn’t worry about 1 day. 9 weeks means only 3 more to go until the 12 weeks scan hopefully!

I’m measuring 6 days behind which again apparently is normal but weighs heavy on my mind. We shall see at this scan on Saturday I suppose

@Cassarat ah I was one day out too! I was so sure as well, they put me one day ahead x

xalexandra · 17/10/2022 19:41

Just had my screening results! Downs - 1/77981 and Edwards/Pataus - 1/100000. Pretty happy with that as my friend showed me that usually they say if your over 25 for Downs it's usually 1 in 1250. So I feel good about them results 😁 x

Sprinklerainbows · 17/10/2022 21:01

@xalexandra thats great news! especially the edwards and pataus!

I’m less concerned about downs as my auntie was high risk 1/5 and he wasn’t in the end 🤣

@Sprinklerainbows good luck with your scan tomorrow!

Sprinklerainbows · 21/10/2022 19:41

@xalexandra aw thank you! I’m nervous but I know I’ll be so relieved once we see the baby again. My brown spotting only lasted that one day so at least that’s less of a worry in my mind now x

OP posts:
Cassarat · 21/10/2022 20:09

Good luck!! The relief only lasts a couple days - only been 4 days since mine and I already want to go again 😂 x

Sprinklerainbows · 21/10/2022 23:15

@Cassarat ah I completely understand! I’m panicked now because I’ve not had really any sickness today. Thank god it’s tomorrow or id completely loose my mind

OP posts:
xalexandra · 22/10/2022 05:10

@Sprinklerainbows I usually find I have a good day and then the next day is terrible 😂 I'm 14+2 now, the sickness isn't as intense but definitely still there 😒

Sprinklerainbows · 22/10/2022 08:28

@xalexandra its true I’ve had that before too. I feel fine this morning but it’s usually evenings I get the sickness so we will see 🤣😅

OP posts:
Cassarat · 22/10/2022 16:53

Ah I’ve been bed bound with the nausea and dizziness this weekend - it’s horrendous’
