Very early pregnancy and so much anxiety after miscarriage

I found out I was pregnant a couple of days ago.

i had a miscarriage about 4 years ago and have since had a successful pregnancy who is my gorgeous DS.

but now I’m pregnant again I have SO much anxiety, I’m terrified of miscarrying.

how do you reassure yourself to calm down? I feel like my head goes completely out of control!

@Sprinklerainbows oh my gosh, that's my fear! A still birth 😩 I have no idea how common they are and why people have them but I can't think of anything worse then doing this for months on end and then that happening! Still birth has been on my mind a lot!!!

Oh it's annoying it's at 2pm, would be better to be in the morning! At least you won't be sitting around on your own xx

Mine too. Truly terrifying.
I completely understand that I think it’s every pregnant mothers worst nightmare!!!

yes so frustrating my scan was originally at 8am and then got moved to 2😩😩😩

Good luck 💜 it’s a very good sign that it only lasted a little while! I bet it was a little thrush or something completely normal xx

@Cassarat thank you! I’m still waiting on the results, I wish I’d have got them before the scan but hey ho, just over an hour to go 😵 xx

@Sprinklerainbows brilliant!! I take it they couldn't find any reasons as to why you had bloody discharge? X

@xalexandra well there was a collection of blood whcjh they saw when I was like 6 weeks but she said there’s absolutely nothing there now! Such a relief the lady was lovely, she couldn’t believe how much the baby was moving and only managed to get one pic 🤣 x

@Sprinklerainbows maybe it was just that old blood coming out! now you can relax for a while 😁 xx

@xalexandra deffo, going to book a private gender scan for 3 weeks time. That will see me through 🤣

@Sprinklerainbows my 20 week scan is 2 weeks tomorrow so I feel like I'm in the final countdown now finally but also getting nervous for it! Bet it still goes slowly now though! Xx

@xalexandra the 20 week one is the important one! Have you announced your pregnancy or are you waiting until this scan?
the scanxiety is real- I’m like you and will always be nervous before a scan!
i think you’ll be absolutely fine though! It’s rare for things to be wrong xx

@Sprinklerainbows I really worry about how bad my diet has been and if that has had an effect on bubba 😂 I think I'm going to announce after 20 week scan! I've told a couple of my best friends and my parents but I'm general I've kept it quiet incase anything goes wrong! Xx

@xalexandra yes we’ve told family and close friends but will wait to tell the rest!
i wouldn’t worry about your diet honestly! I basically only ate crisps and skittles for the majority of my last pregnancy 🤣

@xalexandra @Cassarat how’s everyone doing?
im still being sick (SO ANNOYING) I weighed myself and I’m over a stone less than pre pregnancy 😅 I’ve got my first midwife appointment though and it’s my friend 🤣
I also have my consultant appointment the following day then a few days later the gender scan so it’s all go go go here!!
I’m also feeling little movements now, think it’s a bit earlier than with my first- I was about 16 weeks when I felt them with him. I turn 15weeks in a few day…

@Sprinklerainbows oh wow! The sickness is terrible but always good reassurance too!! Mine only stopped about a week ago so around 17 weeks it eased, but still am having my bad days!

Did you not have a midwife appt at around 8-9 weeks? That's so nice it's your friend, you can be so honest and it's nice to feel like you've got a friend as well as a midwife!

My 20 week scan is next Friday so one week today. Getting so nervous. I've joined a few Facebook groups but read a really negative post today about someone going to their 20 week scan and finding out they miscarried at 16 weeks so I'm just getting so paranoid and nervous now. Stressing a bit 😩 xx

Yes I said sorry I mean my first community appointment. I don’t know if different parts of the country do it differently but my booking in app is at the hospital. But my community care starts at 16 weeks at the gp
Yes I couldn’t believe it, I’m opting for a home birth too so she may well deliver them! 🤣

omg bless you! Don’t worry too much you heard the heartbeat at your appointment! I’m sure it’s all completely fine!
im a lot less anxious but I think that’s because I know I’ve got my scan coming up and I’m feeling some flutters

@Sprinklerainbows ah yes! I always find it so strange that different areas so everything slightly different!

Home birth has definitely been on my mind but don't think it's as readily available as a choice where I am!
