@3rdtimelucky2022 hello! Thank you for finding that 🙂
I phoned mum this morning who suffers with fibromyalgia and asked her what else i can use, she is picking me up a wheat bag when she goes shopping this morning bless her!

Ladies, what temp are you running your baths at? All I see online is advice not to have a 'hot' bath and instead aim for a 'warm' bath... but no guidance on what that means in practice😕

I haven't posted since I first joined but have been keeping an eye on the chat on and off. I'm 6+1 (or 6+3, depending on due date calculator 🤔), and the only symptoms I have are mildly sore boobs, some tiredness and irritability - can definitely relate to those of you saying you have been snapping at your OH 🙈 And I decided to book an early scan for 7+5 in the end.

I saw an American article which said 100 degrees F which is about 37 - body temp. I bought a bath thermometer for a couple of ££. I just miss my big glass of wine which usually comes in with me!

Gilm0reGirl · 27/08/2022 09:32

I have some sort of viral plague so can no longer feel my pregnancy symptoms through all the nose blowing and coughing. I forgot how much fun it is to get a cold while pregnant, paracetamol just isn't going to cut it 😩 Epsom salt Bath, lots of hydration and honey in ginger tea it is. We got our scan appointment today for Friday 7th October, which is lovely and brings back the memory of having our scan on 5th October with our first. We have a private booked for 2 weeks on Monday, when I'll be 8+2 (6w today) and I'm not going to move it but I wish I'd had it booked in for sooner, but I ovulate late so I'm thinking I need at least a week as a buffer and we can't do the following week, so week 8 was the best option.

How is everyone feeling today?

PuddingBear · 27/08/2022 09:44

Think I’ve reached 6 weeks today!

Self referred to the midwives yesterday so waiting to hear back now.

chasingtherainbow1 · 27/08/2022 09:53

@IvyAurora yeah I feel scared to now after that. Maybe I will hold off now until after the 12 week scan 😬

lj2022 · 27/08/2022 10:26

Morning! Is anyone else struggling with really restless sleep ? I've woke up in the worst mood because I'm so fed up with the not sleeping and only managing a short nap during the day. I've even tried not napping and getting out and about more and I still just have the worst sleep at night

Wouldloveanother · 27/08/2022 12:43

I am @lj2022 - I’m up at least twice a night, today I woke at 5 and was unable to get back to sleep. I had a few hours respite from the nausea this morning but it’s back now. Feeling really fed up, it’s a beautiful day but the thought of being in the heat or a moving vehicle makes me want to vomit. DD is bored and I just want to take her out somewhere.

Matildahoney · 27/08/2022 13:05

Random question for those non first timers... Bras, do you go up cup or band size when buying new at the start, or both? Or is my best option to go get measured?

Missgemini · 27/08/2022 13:20

@Matildahoney I went up in cup and chest size. I ordered various sizes online and returned the ones that didn’t fit. That was also during covid. But I tend to shop online generally.

Missgemini · 27/08/2022 13:23

I’ve been having lower tummy aches since implantation at roughly 9dpo.
The ache was a 2/10, but today feeling more like 4/10. I called a local EPAU and they’ve booked me for a scan tomorrow morning.
I hope all is ok. No bleeding thankfully. I hope it’s just a stretching ligament pain. I also have a private scan on Wednesday 😂
Well, I should know how things are going between the both of them!

Matildahoney · 27/08/2022 13:25

@Missgemini thanks, that's what I was thinking of doing, frustratingly I'm usually a 38d, so anything in a 40 seems to be few and far between or expensive. Maybe I'll order a few to try then look on eBay!

LauraA31 · 27/08/2022 13:46

@Missgemini hope everything goes well for you!
i have also been having lower tummy cramps for the past week or so on and off, called the GP who was less than interested and told me to go to A&E should i feel I need to.. never thought of ringing EPU to make sure all was ok! I’m supposed to be 5+3 today and still getting them.

I have fallen this afternoon, kicked the step into the house and fell forward into the door. Banged my leg and my shin is bruised already! Now super worried something is going to go wrong 🤦🏼‍♀️

Brunette1652 · 27/08/2022 13:54

For anyone with awful morning sickness/all day nausea I cannot recommend the boots adult travel bands enough, my husband got me them and they have been saving me this week

Theowlwhowasafraid · 27/08/2022 14:45

@LauraA31 try not to worry, I fell face down on holiday when I was 20 weeks pregnant and I was distraught, I managed to not hit my bump but I was terrified. Baby was fine, they are well protected in there xxxx

Thanks I’ve just messaged DH to ask him to pick me some up as he’s going to the shops later. I’ll try anything, I’m utterly miserable today. The nausea gives me fast heart flutters as well which feel like anxiety. Absolutely horrible and it’s constant.

Wouldloveanother · 27/08/2022 15:16

I’ve also started a sickness/nausea support thread if anybody wants to join, I don’t want to clog this chat up with my endless vomit talk!

Missgemini · 27/08/2022 15:37

@LauraA31 I remember you mentioned this before. I was happy enough to accept that it’s just changes happening in the area causing the 2/10 pain. Had a random 3 episodes of diarrhoea yesterday (sorry for the tmi) so I don’t really know what’s going on in my tummy.
They asked a lot of questions like: are you having shoulder tip pain? Bleeding? Etc. I said a lot of nos and thought they would say nothing to worry about, but they still told me to come in. I’m more than happy to, of course. Will let you know what they say tomorrow x
Sorry you had a horrible tumble. Thankfully the babies are still very protected at this stage, so you should be ok. If too worried, perhaps see if you can call and speak to a nurse at a local epau. x

Tubbytele · 27/08/2022 15:41

Thank you @Wouldloveanother, would you mind linking the thread here please?

Thanks for the recommendation @Brunette1652

I had some sprite today which helped ease the nausea.

Thanks @Wouldloveanother

Gilm0reGirl · 27/08/2022 19:31

I can't tell if it's that in so ill with this cold that I can't feel them anymore, or if all my pregnancy symptoms have just disappeared 😩 and I didn't have strong ones to begin with! never thought be wishing for nausea to reappear.

Brunette1652 · 27/08/2022 20:40

@Gilm0reGirl I used to worry about this too but symptoms will come and go in waves. So please don’t worry, just enjoy it while you don’t have it as strong

MummyOfBoys2022 · 27/08/2022 20:44

@chasingtherainbow1 I had this in my last pregnancy but sometimes I would get a bit through the day but when I went midwife's I did a urine sample and said I had a water infection and that's what the bit of blood was from so prescribed me antibiotics then when I went to my 12 week scan at 13 weeks they said the baby's heart had stopped at 9 weeks 6days so I would just keep and eye on it or mention it to your midwife or doctor

AliceinSlumberland · 27/08/2022 20:55

@Gilm0reGirl I relate to this, my symptoms have been coming and going in waves and I expected my nausea to ramp up but if anything it’s fizzled out. I’m trying not to worry about it as some people have no symptoms at all. What I will say is that when I hurt my neck this week I didn’t notice any symptoms at all, I think I was so distracted by tbe pain of it. However since it’s settled, I’ve had some symptoms again so definitely possible you being unwell is having an impact.

Gilm0reGirl · 27/08/2022 20:55

@Brunette1652 thank you I know exactly what you mean, I hate the waiting game. I'm only 6 weeks too and last time I'm sure my real symptoms didn't hit until around now/near week 7. Hate having man flu too 🤧
