@lj2022 I don’t have any advice but just wanted to share that I feel the same way. I think feeling tired and lethargic really isn’t helping and I know I’ve not been making good choices food wise. I just feel really chunky and unattractive which I realise is silly and it’s all part of the process but it’s how I feel. I’m just going to try and eat more healthily, make good choices and swim and walk as much as I can. I think in my head when I imagined being pregnant I expected I’d just get a nice neat bump and that’s it but even my boobs going massive makes me look bigger in clothes, and my face looks fleshed out too.

Anyway I’ll stop moaning now. What helps me is to think some people would kill to be me, expecting a lovely baby, or even be this weight, and confidence is the most attractive thing. However I can’t always take my own advice haha. Just wanted to say thanks for posting as it’s something I’ve been a bit down about.

@AliceinSlumberland it's tough isn't it and I think then you don't have a big baby bump like further in pregnancy it makes you feel a bit more sluggish. I'm in the same boat and my food choices haven't been great which doesn't help at all but going to try get in a healthier mindset and remind myself I want to be healthy for when my baby is here and remind myself I'm also a bridesmaid next year 😳😂

Please don't feel guilty for feeling these things but I know what you mean m, I have two friends who have been trying for 4+ years who would kill for this but I'm still reminding myself my feelings are valid and I'm still so grateful for this journey even if I'm not happy about all aspects. Glad my post has made you feel less alone

AliceinSlumberland · 06/09/2022 20:47

@lj2022 omg I’m a bridesmaid too, like 6 weeks after my due date!! Okay tomorrow I’m going to eat healthily 😂 plan.

I was upset this morning because a pair of my work pants are tight which were previously loose and I’m like, how can that be at 7 weeks 5 days????

DBS94 · 06/09/2022 20:49

Me too!! I'm due April and my best friend gets married middle of July where I'm a bridesmaid 🙃 feeling a bit anxious to tell her!!

Longbin · 06/09/2022 21:11

I'm a bridesmaid next year too, in August. I was just planning on getting a dress a couple of sizes bigger and wearing super strength slimming pants! I'm not worrying about losing weight that soon after

lj2022 · 06/09/2022 21:46

@AliceinSlumberland aw nooo the pregnancy bloat is real though isn't it! I luckily have a few months after baby but I'm hoping that spring/summer will get me out walking with my pram lots to help me get back fitter again

@DBS94 @Longbin It's definitely the time of life for weddings any babies 😂 I'm sure she will be happy for you. My friend was like I don't care if you're pregnant at my wedding and she's offered for us to go shopping soon before my bump grows so I can get a good feel for the dresses. I don't plan to put too much pressure on myself but I have definite body confident issues and it's only me and one other bridesmaid so I'll hate if I'm very heavy in comparison so just need to try and keep healthy for the next 7 months

chasingtherainbow1 · 06/09/2022 22:04

I'm a bridesmaid twice next year, one is May and one is June! What bad timing 🙈

Wisher88 · 06/09/2022 22:08

7wks pregnant tomorrow and I haven't stopped farting today 🤣 it's been continuous this eve, anyone else?

Margo34 · 06/09/2022 22:23

@Victoria98 no, only bloat. How many weeks are you?

@Wisher88 😂 sorry, no! What have you been (bean?) eating lately?

I had a little light spotting once yesterday but then realised I had hardly had anything to drink all day. I very quickly emptied my water bottle, then a refill, followed by another. Felt so much better after and hasn't happened since but I've been more mindful of water intake today..I wonder if the spotting was because I'd let myself get too dehydrated? No idea. Anyone know?

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 22:43

Hi all

Had my early scan today dated me 1 day ahead so 7w1d good strong heartbeat seen and heard beating at 138bpm so far I haven't had any sickness just some waves of nausea and aversions to smells had lots of cramping and constipation and wind and really sore boobs and very tired was worried about something being wrong with all the cramping but everything seems to be good with little jelly bean at the moment finger crossed 🤞 that continues 3rd pregnancy for me but first pregnancy following a csection almost 10 years ago so not sure if that's why cramping so much

I'm 9w5d today, for the last few days I've been getting twinges around my Punic bone. They seem to be quite central. Anyone else getting these or had these in previous pregnancies? Dunno whether to call docs

chasingtherainbow1 · 06/09/2022 22:48

*pubic bone

Wisher88 · 06/09/2022 23:05

@Heath2330 Congratulations on your scan! I have all the same symptoms as you - not had sickness, but more nausea, and not liking certain tastes/smells.
My scan is on Saturday when I'll be 7wks 3ds. But I might move it forward because I'm getting so impatient!

RabbitJungle · 06/09/2022 23:06

I had my scan this evening, too - strong heartbeat and the sonographer was happy with how everything looked 😊However, she dated me at 5w6d (AUA) when I was expecting 7w4d based on my LMP, when I think I ovulated, and when we had sex. I explained all this to her, but she stuck to her guns and was not concerned. I have been stewing all evening, but I'm now wondering if the dates actually align - i.e. if the date from the scan today simply takes into account the day of conception rather than going all the way back to my LMP. Seems odd that she wouldn't have explained this, though, when I questioned it. Has anyone had a similar experience? I went to Ultrasound Direct, if that helps. x

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:08

@Wisher88 Thankyou and I hope all goes well for you too I get the impatience I felt the same was so happy when they rang me today to see if I could go on an hour earlier 🤣

MummyOfBoys2022 · 06/09/2022 23:09

Anyone had an appointment date for there first midwife appointment yet, I'm 9 weeks on Friday and I read online that blood tests should be done before 10 weeks is that true?

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:12

@RabbitJungle I'm not really sure how each sonographer works and this is the first time I've had a scan so early so I don't know the dates she gave me did align with my lmp so I'm not sure if each place is different and I've seen some posts on here that have said if the egg implanted late that can affect it think implantation can happen between like 5-10 days after fertilisation so maybe that has affected your dates. but a good strong heartbeat is amazing!! And congratulations x

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:13

@MummyOfBoys2022 I've got my booking appt Monday I'll be 8 weeks exactly I'm not sure how it works in your area but it was really fast for me I submitted my self referral in the Friday and they text me appt on the Monday morning

MummyOfBoys2022 · 06/09/2022 23:24

@Heath2330 I got a letter for my appointment today for 19th when I will be 10w 3d, I had a miscarriage in June and I'm just constantly worrying now as I'm nearly at the weeks I was when that baby's heart stopped beating but I knew something wasn't right before it happened as it was measuring weeks behind so I've booked a early scan tomorrow privately because I don't want to have to wait right up to 12w probably over because of how late my first midwife is

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:28

@MummyOfBoys2022 oh wow yeah I've seen post about needing to have certain bloods done before 10 weeks too but I'm not certain on that and I'm so sorry about your miscarriage I would book an early scan too as might be a while before you get your scan with your appt being that late hopefully will give you some reassurance x

Wisher88 · 06/09/2022 23:30

@MummyOfBoys2022 it's worth you chasing them as you do need to be screened before ten weeks. I'm booked in next week when I'll be just over 8wks ☺️

Wisher88 · 06/09/2022 23:33

@Heath2330 I'm scared of having it too early in case no heartbeat, but now I'm at 7 wks I think probably ok! Just hate the thought of MMC as I could be thinking everything is fine then be blindsided.

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:34

@MummyOfBoys2022 just had a look on nhs website re screening and looks like your bloods should be done before 10 weeks to test for sickle cell and thallasemia so I would ring them and chase just check that it's ok

ancienthouse · 06/09/2022 23:35

@RabbitJungle I'm pretty sure they all give you the standard way of dating, from lmp based on a 28 day cycle. Mine was with ultrasound direct and they did.
Did they tell you the size of the baby?

Is it possible you've got your dates wrong? I think when they're so tiny the scan can be out by a few days maybe up to a week, so if your dates could be out by 5 or so days then it might still add up. When did you get your first positive test?

Heath2330 · 06/09/2022 23:37

@MummyOfBoys2022 yeah i was really nervous today especially as they don't always seem to be accurate so early but dh really wanted it and for me personally if there was anything wrong I just wanted to know but I don't think I will feel fully ok until after 12 week scan but the reassurance was defiantly nice for me but it has to be your choice and what you are comfortable with x
