@Leanne053 I'm in the same boat - I feel your pain! Nearly all day nausea and loads of retching, a little bit of vomiting. It's horrible. I'm trying to eat little and often which does kind of help some of the time... crackers or grapes or something innofensive... bananas, cereal... how many weeks are you? It's likely meds won't really help the nausea but you could always try. At least hopefully it will be a short time in the scheme of things and at the end of it you'll have a tiny baby for all your trouble! <3

@Wouldloveanother Aww nice. I am not sure, DH kinda wants to have a surprise this time. Found out with DD which was great, I did want a girl as I'd always imagined a girl so it was nice to know early on :) wasn't really a preference but I just felt I was meant to have a girl... this time no real preference either way, I like the idea of sisters, also like the idea of one of each. Think this will be our final baby. How about you?? x

@Skylark1990 I'm 6+4, sorry to hear you are joining me in the nausea boat! Yeah I find eating actually eases it but my diet at the moment is shocking to normal, bread, crisps, crackers and spuds is all I want 😅 can't eat like this for another 6 weeks 😂

alwaysseeingstars · 06/09/2022 15:58

@SavedByGraceAlone Just had my prescription come through, apparently I have to inject the Fragmin from tomorrow until 6 weeks after the birth 😫(DH not impressed as he has a severe phobia of needles so guess I'll be doing it by myself 😂) Thanks for that re the demo, annoyingly there is nobody there tonight who can show me so may be searching youtube haha! That's good to know about the aspirin too, I think she said 125mg but not until I'm 12 weeks.

@alwaysseeingstars ahhh that's so long for you! Bless you. Is it because you're prone to blood clotting? I guess if it helps have a healthy pregnancy then all will be worth it...

My DH also has a bad phobia of needles, haha! I asked him to stand outside the room as I was doing it for the first time this morning, not looking but just for moral support, and he nearly fainted in the process 😂 At least I got to be a real hero in his eyes as he then endlessly admired how brave I was to just shoot a needle in my stomach 😂

Hope yours goes well tomorrow. I've been told to keep them strictly at the same time (with 2 hrs flexibility max) - in case they haven't mentioned this to you - so choose your timing well. xxxx

alwaysseeingstars · 06/09/2022 16:18

@SavedByGraceAlone ah, bless him!!
Yes, I've had a clot on the lung and a bleed on the brain so they're just being very cautious. Are you the same? Like you say, it will all be worth it if we get a healthy little baby at the end of this!
Thanks for the advice, I've had no comms on it at all really - I'll go for the same time in the morning as I know it'll always get done then 😊

SavedByGraceAlone · 06/09/2022 16:27

Ah so sorry to hear this, @alwaysseeingstars! Mine is because of recurrent miscarriage and a risk of blood clotting in the second semester.
I'll also stick to mornings (around 7am) - our injections could be in sync! 😊 Kind of nice to know I'm not doing it on my own. X

Hey gang, hope you’re all doing okay and that the sickness eases off for those who are suffering. Do we have anyone getting a scan this week?

Being back at work is kicking my bum, totally exhausted and just want a nap. Meeting friends to walk my dogs at 7 and honestly have so nearly cancelled but could do with the exercise as I feel like a chunky monkey at the minute and have definitely been doing my fair share if snacking!

BarcelonaXM · 06/09/2022 17:35

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to you all! I’m new here. I’m 6+5 and have a an early scan on 19th due to two previous miscarriages (before my son who is 15 months).
It’s nice to read everyone’s news!
Take care everyone!

RabbitJungle · 06/09/2022 17:51

Hey, I know you're supposed to drink a litre of water before the scan but what's the deal with eating?? I have mine later tonight and am already starving, don't think I can hold out until after... It doesn't say anything about eating on my confirmation email 🤔

DBS94 · 06/09/2022 17:54

@RabbitJungle my scan email said just 0.5litre and food doesn't matter, I had just eaten before mine! I drank just over 0.5 litre and they said my bladder was really full so don't worry too much xx

ClaBro1 · 06/09/2022 18:24

@DBS94 gkad your scan went well. Was it private? How many weeks were you? I am also in Scotland.

Yeah mine was private! At baby bonds ultrasound they were great. I've booked another one at 11 weeks as we have a big family meal around then so want to check on things so I can tell the rest of my family xx

DBS94 · 06/09/2022 18:42

@ClaBro1 oh and I was 8 weeks! But was measuring a few days ahead at 8+3 xx

RabbitJungle · 06/09/2022 18:44

Thanks @DBS94 - just checked my email and it also says to drink 0.5l, good job you flagged it 😅

ClaBro1 · 06/09/2022 18:54

@DBS94 aw amazing! How exciting! I think I’ll be around 7w3 and going to window to the wombs on Friday. Fingers crossed it goes well. Take care x

Brunette1652 · 06/09/2022 19:25

anyone else having cramping but feel like up high in their vagina? Been having it on and off all day, nearly like stabbing pains

Marshmallowmountain · 06/09/2022 19:27

Does anyone know if scan at 7w will be transvaginal or abdominal? I’m struggling to drink much due to nausea so not sure how I’ll get the 0.5l in 🤢

Brunette1652 · 06/09/2022 19:28

@Brunette1652 I’m 8 weeks btw

lj2022 · 06/09/2022 19:32

I'm 9 weeks and already feeling like I've piled on so much weight with having to energy to do anything and constant hunger. Had a total emotional breakdown about how my body is going to change (I've already struggled with my weight gain the last year and confidence) just worried I'm going to feel so down about myself. Obviously I know it's not safe to loose weight in pregnancy so I know I'm stuck with it but does anyone have any nice tips on how to accept your new body

Wouldloveanother · 06/09/2022 20:16

@lj2022 buy lots of nice maternity clothes and embrace it. There’s no other choice really! If it helps, I prefer my post pregnancy figure. I was too skinny before, it sort of rounded off my sharp edges and gave me more of a bum. You can also sign up to pregnancy exercise classes which helped me feel better about my body and fitness in general.

Victoria98 · 06/09/2022 20:17

Is this a early scan that has been booked? I have just had my letter for my first scan is not until mid October 😬 which I’m not really happy about.

Did you previously had a miscarriage?

Its so hard me and my partner don’t really talk about it because we don’t won’t to get ahead of ourselfs x

Wouldloveanother · 06/09/2022 20:18

How many weeks will you be then Victoria? Mines booked for 12+1 on the 27th of this month. I won’t relax-relax unless the anomaly scan goes well. Only 11 weeks to go!

1stimer16 · 06/09/2022 20:19

Hey ladies!

Haven’t posted in a while, I’ve been away on holiday! Had such a bad belly due to food/water changes and was so worried it would affect baby but apparently they are fine when you have food poisoning!

I’m having early scan on Saturday and I’ll be 7wks 2 days! Hoping everything is ok, really anxious and first baby so no idea what to expect. I’ve got my first booking in appointment with midwife as well 23rd Sept!

Congrats to all ladies with lovely scan pics ☺️

Feeling a bit crampy today, nothing bad just dull aching, boobs are still sore but don’t feel as heavy as they have the past few weeks. Did a clear blue digital when I got back and it had changed to 3+ weeks, just wished I wouldn’t feel so worried about everything!

lj2022 · 06/09/2022 20:21

@Wouldloveanother thanks I think a good shopping trip will help. I'm used to being so slim and changed job a year ago and have piled on the weight with being less active (used to work 13 hour shifts and was on my feet constantly) think what's getting to me is that I was already unhappy and I'm now having to prepare for more change. Been looking up pregnancy classes but sadly hardly any in my area but found 1 to start attending so hopefully that helps my mindset

Victoria98 · 06/09/2022 20:25

has anyone starting having a bump 6 and half/ 7 weeks ?
