I'm 6+3 today and haven't really had any sickness yet I've had some nausea and thrown up and heaved with a tin of tuna but other than that non yet I'm sure it had started by this point with my other 2 so just keeping my fingers crossed all is well and that I'm just lucky on the sickness front 🤞

I think we are at similar points, I'm 6+2 - I've been really nauseous the last 2 days and only wanting simple savoury foods, but today I'm feeling alright so far...

Heath2330 · 02/09/2022 08:15

@Hannah223344 yeah I've felt a little better the last 2 days from Sunday I had felt rotten with exhaustion and constipation but been using lactulose and actually feeling a little better can t wait for our scan on Tuesday just for a little reassurance though x

I'm similar to you both as well! 6+2 today and definitely starting to feel the sickness in waves. Hopefully today is a good day for all of us and it's not too bad! Fingers crossed! 💕

@lj2022 thats great news about your scan! Just for a bit of reassurance, I had spotting with my daughter from about week 6 until week 9 on and off, it was a mixture of brown/pink/red. Never found a cause and she’s super healthy and active and it just went after about 9 weeks! The midwives are great though and they said to me ‘we never say it’s normal but it’s REALLY common’ it can be anything, a little burst blood vessel, cervix irritation, subchoronic hematoma, literally anything-it doesn’t always mean something bad ❤️

lj2022 · 02/09/2022 09:21

@DBS94 yep I think what's reassuring me is the no cramps and that this is when I'd usually have my period. I'll keep you updated. How are you getting on ?

@Theowlwhowasafraid yes this definitely seems to be so common and that's exactly what the sonographer said to me yesterday it's common but not normal so just phone and get checked. I loved that she encouraged me to get checked! How far along are you ?

Theowlwhowasafraid · 02/09/2022 09:40

@lj2022 im 6 weeks with baby 2 now and I’ve not had spotting as yet, but it’s totally nerve wracking! Absolutely get checked if you can! That’s great she told you to- is this your first? I’m sure all will be fine! Keeping my fingers crossed for you cxxx

Missgemini · 02/09/2022 10:07

Just had my follow up scan at EPU to double check no twin hiding somewhere in my pelvis. No second baby seen. Baby is measuring exactly what I calculated at 6+3.
The pain I was initially having has gone completely. Just having nausea these days. Feeling relieved. Need to chill out now and wait for the 12 week scan :)

Springblooms08 · 02/09/2022 10:45

So pleased to hear the good news this morning on this thread. My latest worry is yesterday I was on quite a long car journey and DH didn’t slow down coming up to a roundabout whilst going downhill and absolutely slammed on the breaks. I was so cross as I’d specifically asked him to drive really carefully. Now super worried about it!

MamaMenna · 02/09/2022 11:38

Those worrying about not feeling nauseous, I'm not either and didn't with baby 1 at all either. Fingers crossed it stays that way, very thankful to escape it. Sorry for those who are tho! My main symptom is feeling faint / dizzy and lacking energy quickly.

MamaMenna · 02/09/2022 11:39

Oh and I'd like to join the fb group, but is it ok to wait a few weeks? I'm trying (failing haha) not to get too excited before 12 weeks

MamaMenna · 02/09/2022 11:43

@Springblooms08 I understand the worry, but I think you can relax, bean is really well protected in there ❤

alwaysseeingstars · 02/09/2022 13:07

@MamaMenna thank you for that, I've been quite worried (yet at the same time grateful!) that I have no nausea or sickness yet, am 8 weeks today. Congrats to you and I'm with you on trying to not get too carried away (failing, haha!) 😊

OttilieKnackered · 02/09/2022 16:42

A small chink of light for me in the darkness of severe nausea today.

I went for a scan to check viability (don’t want to be suffering for nothing) and that it’s not twins (massive fear).

Baby is looking perfect, strong heartbeat, measuring almost a week ahead of where I thought so now 8 weeks and 5 days!! This gives me hope that nausea May abate just that little earlier than I thought (though no sign of that yet).

Here is my amorphous blob:

Congrats @OttilieKnackered !! Beautiful blob. Amazing you are measuring ahead, how does that line up with your cycle / when you ovulated?

I've been feeling immensely sick too the last couple days. Near constant nausea and some vomming too, although always seem to gag and retch but nothing or not much comes up. Ergh it's grim. I bought some sickness bands and I think they kinda helped for an hour or so but the nausea is back again now 🤢🤢😥

Also for the second time mums who are spewing... Do you find a little wee comes out?! It happened like twice with DD but seems to happen every time with this one... Obvs pelvic floor isn't what it used to be!

OttilieKnackered · 02/09/2022 17:32

@Skylark1990 it means I must have ovulated super early, around day 8!!

I have short cycles (24 days) and I an 35 - not sure if that also has an effect.

Lapin387 · 02/09/2022 18:09

@Skylark1990 definitely have to engage my pelvic floor when vomiting

Springblooms08 · 02/09/2022 18:10

@MamaMenna thank you, I’m sure you’re totally right.

I’m really struggling with anxiety and overthinking recently, feel like I’m always about to burst into tears. I’m so grateful to be where I am as it’s all I wanted, but I really really hate this part of early pregnancy

Theowlwhowasafraid · 02/09/2022 18:53

@Skylark1990 yup! I caught a bug off my daughter and completely wet myself with the puke!

DBS94 · 02/09/2022 19:07

For those of you who have been for early scans - has baby been measuring roughly what you thought? And have you been counting this from day of last period or ovulation date? I'm 8 weeks tomorrow according to first day of last period and have short cycles so usually ovulate fairly early. Not sure if this effects things?

LauraA31 · 02/09/2022 19:47

Evening ladies, i have felt so sick today.. had breakfast and since then felt very nauseous!
We went out for tea and i was fine when eating, then bam nausea appeared! The fact i could taste food made me feel horrific!
Boyfriend got me a take home desert, it’s making me gip knowing it’s in the kitchen… This is not me at all but positive signs! 🤞🏻

Takes a lot less than vomit for that to happen to me 😂 hope you feel better soon x

Tropicana1 · 02/09/2022 20:22

@alwaysseeingstars thanks I will try that!

@Longbin that's exactly what it is! Feeling full makes me feel horrendous, even just drinking water. I've found today that a single banana is tolerable, so had one for breakfast and then one for lunch but then pushed it with half a sandwich too and then threw up at work and basically outed myself as early pregnant 😬 couldn't drink anything all day but then really fancied a Diet Coke so had one after work and managed to drink that ok so at least managed to get some liquids on board today. Will call the gp if I carry on like this as it's pretty impossible to do my job as I am right now and don't want to get dehydrated etc. I'll look into the b6 as well thanks for the suggestion!

chasingtherainbow1 · 02/09/2022 22:04

9 weeks today and I've been getting random pills and twinges/prickly pain on my pubic bone. It's not really painful just an odd feeling. Anyone else had this? I've googled and it's suggesting round ligament pain or pgp but it seems far too early for that. It doesn't feel like my uterus it does feel more like nerves or ligaments or something as it's worse when I walk or stretch.

Little things just make me worry. I had a scan yesterday when I also had this pain (not because of the pain) and all was great! 🙈 I just don't know whether to get it checked out
