Today is my first nauseous day, when I eat it goes off but then back shortly after. I'm tried too and just ready for this shift to be over!

Tubbytele · 31/08/2022 15:03

@Emsinmonaco2022 glad to know its not just me but sorry you're going through it as well. Most things are making me gag but enjoyed some salt and vinegar crisps.

Blouise92 · 31/08/2022 15:09

@CinderellaFant oh my god yes! Nothing seems to quench my thirst, I just seem to be drinking loads of different things. Fizzy seems to help more, water tastes like garbage haha

ClaBro1 · 31/08/2022 15:14

I’ve joined the nausea gang today too 😫 haven’t been sick but jeez the nausea and tiredness is here in full force. 6+1

hope everyone is well and keeping the anxiety at bay if they can.

DBS94 · 31/08/2022 15:17

@ClaBro1 I've been the same, was prescribed medication from GP which didn't help but I've found eating first thing when I open my eyes helps a lot. I send my husband down for banana and glass of apple juice at 6:30am before standing up and that seems to line my stomach! I'm not 100% and still get really nauseous moments but it helps - so does snacking throughout the day x

ClaBro1 · 31/08/2022 15:21

@DBS94 thank you! I thought I felt it a bit over the weekend but was busy so tried to ignore it but definitely feeling it this afternoon. I’ve just had some dry crackers and a mint tea. Hope you are feeling ok 💫

Missgemini · 31/08/2022 15:46

@bluebubbles12 yeah that’s what I suspected. I will be sure to sterilise everything before I do the test. We don’t really mind what we have, but we want to start using the baby’s name. If the test is wrong, it’ll just be a funny story haha

And yes, so so thirsty as others have said!

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 15:53

Afternoon ladies!
Been to the loo this afternoon and had some pinkish discharge, which has panicked me!
I have cramping too, rang EPU and they’re getting a nurse to ring me back and see what we do from there.
Im terrified! Boyfriends birthday too which is less than ideal 🙁

Lapin387 · 31/08/2022 15:54

Just had my booking appointment. The lovely midwife remembered me ❤️. She noticed I’ve gone blonder and changed my job!

Lapin387 · 31/08/2022 15:55

Sorry @LauraA31 , cross posted with you. Sending love x

alwaysseeingstars · 31/08/2022 16:00

@LauraA31 keeping fingers crossed that all is OK, it does seem to be very common but definitely best to get it checked out xx
I've been having horrible stabbing pains low down on my left side today which is a bit concerning.. have my bloods being tested tonight before my midwife phone appointment on Sat so hopefully she'll be able to reassure me!

Tubbytele · 31/08/2022 16:17

@LauraA31 @alwaysseeingstars hope you're both ok and get seen to.

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 16:23

EPU phoned me and have booked me a scan tomorrow at 1530, the nurse was super busy and said she would ask me all the questions tomorrow. She said if i bleed throughout the night to go to A&E, nervous!

Boyfriend has told me to lay down for the rest of the night and do nothing. He is panicked and so am i! I do hope that it is normal and all is okay 🙁

Gilm0reGirl · 31/08/2022 16:26

@LauraA31 I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I'm sure it'll be fine it's so common to have some bleeding during pregnancy, just rest up tonight and try not to worry too much. ❤️

Wisher88 · 31/08/2022 16:56

Good evening everyone ☺️
I know it varies by area but roughy when should we have heard from midwifery team to be booked in for first appointment?
I'm six weeks and I think we're supposed to have them between 8-10wks? Just thinking I'd need a bit of notice so I don't have to move too many things about. Tempted to call them but I'm saving myself to be annoying later so don't want to peak too soon

Longbin · 31/08/2022 17:20

@Wisher88 I hadn't heard at 6 last weeks so I called and they booked me in for just over 8 weeks

Missgemini · 31/08/2022 17:20

@LauraA31 so sorry to hear that. Such a worrying time. Just to say I had one episode of pinkish discharge with my son and he was completely fine. I hope tomorrow goes well xxx

KennAdams · 31/08/2022 18:32

Goodness me everything I eat is making me feel so sick. 🤢

Matildahoney · 31/08/2022 18:34

@Wisher88 I was told they'll call me this week or next to book me in for triage, then they'll book my scan after that. I'll be 10 weeks sat, my friend who is 2 weeks ahead of me & lives in a different area had her first midwife appointment by week 8, so think it really depends where you are

PuddingBear · 31/08/2022 18:48

I put in my self referral on Friday and they contacted me today to book me in for next week when I think I will be 7+4.

Same here! Feeling very miserable tonight, constant nauseous and fatigue coupled with working and looking after a toddler is taking its toll! 😮‍💨

alwaysseeingstars · 31/08/2022 19:03

First stage of booking appointment done 😊 not sure why it's in two goes but hey! Bloods etc done today then an hour long phone call on Saturday. Feeling more real!
Plus for anybody who gets sharp stabbing pains, the midwife said not to worry at all unless there is quite a lot of bleeding with it 😊

It’s so hard isn’t it?! During my first pregnancy we were in lockdown and it was my first baby so I could just relax all the time.

Now I’m back at work and with a toddler there’s no time to relax!

Tropicana1 · 31/08/2022 20:05

6+4 and the nausea has well and truly hit me today 😭 feel absolutely horrendous since lunch time, thought eating might help but feel even worse since dinner (think I should have just eaten a small amount rather than full meal) and thought I was going to vomit multiple times today. Had it bad until 13 weeks last time.

Tropicana1 · 31/08/2022 20:09

@LauraA31 sorry only just catching up on the thread now. Sorry you're having a bit of a worry - fingers crossed everything is ok tomorrow at the EPU x
