@Heath2330 Its actually Sneakpeek. Spelt it wrong.

Heath2330 · 30/08/2022 23:13

@Missgemini oh that's cool do you have to be a certain number of weeks? And yeah will look forward to your update

Missgemini · 30/08/2022 23:46

@Heath2330 It says 6 weeks minimum. I’m only 6 weeks today, so might hold off until end of the week or even next week

Theowlwhowasafraid · 31/08/2022 07:19

Girls it’s happening, I threw up in the middle of the night and feel awful this morning, I had HG with my daughter and I can’t do that again, it was the most horrendous thing I’ve lived through and I’ve spent all morning just sobbing. I think I have PTSD from it before and I just can’t handle sick anymore. I’m going to call the GP first thing but I feel like an awful mummy at the moment cus my little one needs me ☹️

AliceinSlumberland · 31/08/2022 08:42

Oh @Theowlwhowasafraid I’m so sorry this is happening for you, did you manage to speak to the GP? How am they weeks are you?

AliceinSlumberland · 31/08/2022 08:43

How many weeks*

Skylark1990 · 31/08/2022 08:48

@Leanne053 defo tell your mum, tell anyone you feel you really want to tell. No rules at all and as others have said if the worst did happen which is unlikely, it's good to have the support 😊

@Missgemini that's exciting!! Let us know what it comes back with .... A friend did that and it was actually wrong, she found out at 20 week scan she was having a girl when the sneakpeek said boy so just a word of warning they are not 100% 🫢 but I think mostly pretty accurate!

@Theowlwhowasafraid I'm sorry you're feeling like this. Try not to feel guilty, it's really tough and it's just a passing time, your DC will be absolutely fine. Cuddles and tv if that's what you need to get through the day.

The spewing seems to have started for me. Was sick 3 times yesterday afternoon and evening, it was horrible. I seem to feel worse in the afternoon so trying to get out this morning with DD then may have to spend the afternoon in front of the telly 🤦‍♀️

@AliceinSlumberland I’m 6+2 at the moment and I think this is when it started ramping up with my daughter and I was in hospital at 8 weeks ☹️I’ve requested a call back so hopefully I can get some medication today before it gets worse.

@Skylark1990 i just feel so guilty! She wants to play and be everywhere so def won’t snuggle on the sofa 😂 she’s off to nursery for a few hours shortly so I can get some sleep then if the nausea allows. I’m so sorry you’re being sick too, it’s absolutely horrible isn’t it ☹️

Missgemini · 31/08/2022 09:39

@Skylark1990 haha! There is something online about making sure you follow instructions properly and removing all sources of male DNA around you whilst doing the test.
Reviews are mostly good, so fingers crossed. Impatience is a disease! Lol

Emeal123 · 31/08/2022 09:48

sorry to hear about the sickness a few of you are experiencing, hopefully it doesn’t carry on too long and you feel better soon 🤞🏻 . I’m the opposite and have barely any symptoms other than very warm all of the time and my stomach is quite bloated, I can’t bare anything tight like jeans, I’ve been wearing leggings and pulling them right over my stomach so that the elastic band isn’t on my lower tummy.

I have a repeat scan on Saturday after going 2 weeks previously and having an ‘inconclusive’ scan due to only measuring 5 weeks and not seeing anything other than the pregnancy sac. Feeling nervous but hoping everything is ok! Xx

Abymol · 31/08/2022 09:50

Hi can I join in. I’m due 20th April so I’m 7 weeks today. No morning sickness as yet but I’m constantly starving. Baby number 4 but my others are all between 11 and 16 years old. My symptoms are so different to my others it’s kinda scary. I’ve booked in for a private early scan next week. I’m terrified lol.

Heath2330 · 31/08/2022 09:57

@Abymol my youngest is 10 on September and I feel the same this time feels so different but then I wonder if it's just because it's been so long and I don't really remember what it was like lol constantly thinking is the normal 🙈 I also have an early scan booked next week just for some reassurance

Sorry for you ladies who have started being sick I hope it gets better for you soon. I've been very nauseous bloated and constipated but no actual sick yet x

Hannah223344 · 31/08/2022 10:20

Hi ladies, anyone else experiencing temperature swings? Boiling one minute, then need a hot water bottle the next (maybe it's just the change in seasons!!)

Lapin387 · 31/08/2022 10:49

@Hannah223344 yes I have!

Matildahoney · 31/08/2022 11:10

@Hannah223344 I was like that weeks 5-7 probably, I'm now 9+4 and it's definitely better! Although Sun eve went to a family get together, everyone else was in short sleeves/shorts/playsuits, I was in leggings & hoody!!

CinderellaFant · 31/08/2022 11:37

Anyone else so thirsty all the time?

Tubbytele · 31/08/2022 11:43

@Hannah223344 yep! I can't decide whether to keep the windows open or closed.

Hannah223344 · 31/08/2022 11:59

I'm glad I'm not the only one @Tubbytele @Matildahoney ... thank you :-)

Tubbytele · 31/08/2022 12:09

I remember a pp said that they eat something and then after eating it, they don't like that food anymore and go off of it. I'm definitely having this more. Is anyone else going through this?

I am! And there aren't many things I have left now... so strange the whole thing. Nausea is so bad today, probably worst day so far. Plus temperature changes hot and freezing cold - it's living hell.

LauraA31 · 31/08/2022 12:23

@CinderellaFant yesss! I am drinking so much water and it doesn’t seem to be helping me at all; im drinking loads, especially at night

DBS94 · 31/08/2022 12:39

@CinderellaFant yes so thirty! For some reason the taste of tap water is making me nauseous so I'm having to guzzle bottled which is making me feel back about all the plastic! Crazy as I live in Scotland and the tap water is lovely!!

Anyone suffering but toilet troubles? I'm feeling really blocked up and getting bad constipation cramps

CinderellaFant · 31/08/2022 12:44

Reassuring to know it's not just me thirsty. I was worrying about gestational diabetes although I'm sure it's way too early for that, but doesn't stop me worrying lol. Most drinks and food are making me nauseous. With my other pregnancies my guilty pleasure was a cold can of Diet Coke however one mouthful has me feeling sick now.

bluebubbles12 · 31/08/2022 13:43

@Missgemini I looked into the sneakpeek test last time as I was so desperate to know as soon as possible, but I decided to wait for a 16 week scan in the end. If it comes back saying girl then you can be pretty sure it's accurate (assuming you've carried the test out correctly). The slight uncertainty is if it says boy because it detects DNA from any male, not just baby, so partners/sons etc. Just make sure you thoroughly clean everything beforehand and don't get your partner to help and that should reduce the risk 😊 I'm looking forward to the 12 week scan so I can test the nub theory again!
