@CinderellaFant oh my goodness, this is the best news!!!!!

Wisher88 · 28/08/2022 18:47

I booked for a 6 wk scan with window to the womb, but they've called me to suggest I push it back so I'm over seven weeks. Apparently more often than not there's no heartbeat yet at 6 which means people quite fairly panic.
Kind of glad because will give us more certainty but will be an extra week to wait. I'll hopefully be 7wks 3ds.
Anybody else had this where it's been pushed back?

cheekysausage · 28/08/2022 18:51

I visited Window To The Womb at 6+2. There was never any conversation about changing the date of the scan. I booked for a “Viability Scan” I think it was called.

CinderellaFant · 28/08/2022 18:55

Oh my word @cheekysausage amazing!! Twins are amazing, we have lots of twins in our family. Always wondered if I would have them but just singletons for me ❤️

cheekysausage · 28/08/2022 18:57

@CinderellaFant thank you!! Never in a million years would have thought it…we have no twins in either of our families 🤣

KennAdams · 28/08/2022 19:27

Wow twins!! Congratulations @cheekysausage

Gilm0reGirl · 28/08/2022 19:36

@cheekysausage that's amazing! What a lovely scan to have you just be overjoyed.

Heath2330 · 28/08/2022 19:40

Omg! Twins massive congratulations to you @Emmar1989

catc7 · 28/08/2022 19:47

I booked at scan at 6 weeks for this week. They didn’t contact me but I panicked it was too early and moved it to the week after where I’m closer to 7. Although I’m kind of regretting that now 😂 I’m not really sure when I ovulated though as I think it was later in my cycle so that was my main reason for moving it.

Lunabun · 28/08/2022 19:49

@Brunette1652 I went for a 6 week scan with my first and I did feel reassured by it. We got to see the heartbeat! I have to say I'm not bothering this time round, but if you're nervous then it could be helpful!

And omg @cheekysausage twins!!! Wow! I'm honestly very jealous, I've always wanted twins! Aw how amazing, congratulations ❤️❤️❤️x

Emmar1989 · 28/08/2022 19:50

Not me with the twins… well I hope not anyway! 😅

Heath2330 · 28/08/2022 19:52

Haha sorry @Emmar1989 I was reading and cooking at the same time and misread the name hahah

MummyOfBoys2022 · 28/08/2022 19:52

@cheekysausage congratulations, that's amazing! x

Sorry about the TMI, but I need to ask! Has anyone had a bleeding from the bottom in early pregnancy? 🫣
It's the second time now I've got bright red blood when wiping. Terrified me at first, but established it's definitely from the rear not the front, which is better news, but not exactly pleasant! 😅

I had it with my last pregnancy, I did get rushed to hospital but it was nothing, happy healthy little girl born 14 days overdue x

Brunette1652 · 28/08/2022 20:05

@ncbn1 was this a private scan you had? Was it trans vaginal? I’m unsure to try hold out or bite the bullet and just go for one this week, I think I’m seven weeks tomorrow, how did you find the scan? Did you get some pics

Brunette1652 · 28/08/2022 20:06

@Lunabun thank for your reply, I’m in such two minds to go for a 7 week scan or hold out for the nhs one

Wisher88 · 28/08/2022 20:09

@cheekysausage congratulations on twins!
It must vary regionally - I had booked the same scan. They said it was up to me but let me know "more often than not" no heartbeat at 6wks so they must have had some bad experiences!

Tubbytele · 28/08/2022 20:13

@cheekysausage Amazing news, so pleased for you! How have your symptoms been with carrying twins?

cheekysausage · 28/08/2022 20:20

@Tubbytele strangely, very little symptoms. Part of the reason I wanted the viability scan so early. No sickness, slight nausea, very stuffy nose, slightly tender boobs. In saying all that, my first pregnancy I had no symptoms other than a missed period and progressively getting bigger 🤣 And hes now a healthy 2.5yo.

LauraA31 · 28/08/2022 20:21

@Wisher88 i had the exact same as you!
i booked with window to womb for 4th sept for a viability scan where I would have been 6+2, they phoned me and advised me to push it back a week.. I did it and then phoned when I started getting slight cramps and they advised for me to keep the 7+2 appointment.
They said if my dates were out then they would have to make me wait two weeks which could cause massive panic, wonder if it’s clinic dependant?

ncbn1 · 28/08/2022 20:36

@Brunette1652 yeah it was a private with ultrasound direct. Got 4 photos printed and some extras sent over to download to your phone. I did think it might be transvaginal and was part of the reason I booked there as I have a retroverted uterus and have heard it can be very hard to see anything so early as my uterus is tipped towards my back. It was so reassuring to know I’m exactly where I thought and had a heart beat etc!

Emeal123 · 28/08/2022 21:01

Window to the womb in my area won’t allow people to book before 7 weeks so I went with hey baby instead but my dates were out so I have to go back for a rescan after 2 weeks. Maybe it is different for each clinic

Leanne053 · 28/08/2022 21:14

@cheekysausage aww wonderful news!
