@CinderellaFant ahhhh this has made my day!! So pleased to hear this ❤️❤️

GeorgiePorge · 28/08/2022 11:07

Morning all.
Just wondering if anyone is starting out this pregnancy with a High BMI ?
my last pregnancy was consultant led due to BMI (34) and whilst I gained little during the pregnancy and have lost it since... despite best intentions I have only dropped a kilo or 2 more so am still much bigger than I should be.. couple with being 38 I'm at the higher risk end 😕

I'm keen to be as careful as I can with this pregnancy and keep as active a strong as possible...I know the advice is I can continue with whatever exercise I am used to... so thinking lots of walking and yoga/strength training.

wondering if anyone has any recommendations for books/you tube videos etc on strength exercising in pregnancy and also meal ideas for low sugar diet? ( got diagnosed with GD at 30 weeks last time so really need to lay off the sugar this time round as pretty sure it was diet induced).

thanks! xx

@CinderellaFant such wonderful news!! Congratulations xxx

chasingtherainbow1 · 28/08/2022 11:34

@MummyOfBoys2022 thanks I will keep an eye on it. I've not had anything since and I now actually think it was coming from the outside rather than the inside (sorry tmi) because we had had sex in a while and I felt a bit sore yesterday. I might book a scan for next week because I don't have one for 4 weeks now and this makes me terrified after 3 miscarriages!

@Brunette1652 thanks for your response. It's made me feel a bit better! Think I might just go in a ban for a while just in case 😂

@SavedByGraceAlone yeah mine was just one tiny spot on wiping then nothing else! Just given me something else to worry about now!

KennAdams · 28/08/2022 11:49

@CinderellaFant what brilliant news!!!

I still get bouts of nausea no actual vomiting though.

ncbn1 · 28/08/2022 11:55

@Heath2330 ive just had my scan at 7+2 and I’m measuring 7+1 so I’m happy about that! It was great for reassurance! Could see the heart beat but other than that it’s pretty blobish! Beautiful blob though and put my mind at ease!!

Missgemini · 28/08/2022 12:21

@LauraA31 @catc7 just left the hospital. Measuring perfectly at between 5-6 weeks. They saw a heartbeat too (I’m 5+5).
They say the reason I’ve been having tummy aches is because of some small amount of free fluid as I ovulated from both ovaries. They could only see one sac but asked me to come back in 1 week to double check there isn’t a twin! My DH got a bit scared by the suggestion of twins 😂
But all good! I’m happy :)

SavedByGraceAlone · 28/08/2022 12:26

@CinderellaFant , @nncbn1 and @MiMissgemini - fantastic news for all of you! Congratulations on your lovely scans!

@CinderellaFant, what an amazing reversal - so reassuring for many of us here I'm sure.

Xxx

Emeal123 · 28/08/2022 12:32

Sorry for TMI but I seem to have the opposite of constipation, must have to go about 4/5 times a day but I’m struggling with my appetite to eat much food. Hopefully keeping hold of all the nutrients we need, anyone else having a similar problem?

Wouldloveanother · 28/08/2022 12:36

CinderellaFant · 28/08/2022 10:36

Found you all! So I've been awol the past two weeks, after I had my early scan at EPU which showed I was really behind what I should be and they couldn't see much and was told to come back in two weeks. A few days after that I started bleeding so thought it was definitely game over, as I've had three losses before.

Well today was my rescan at EPU and there is a 8 week gestation baby with a strong heartbeat!! In absolute shock, I was expecting to go up today and organise a D&C!

Over the moon.

That’s fantastic!!!! And proof these things are quite inaccurate too early. So happy for you!

I’m feeling a tiny bit better today, managed to go for a long walk in the woods, think the fresh air blew away some cobwebs so I’ve come home and feel up to a bit of housework. It’s nice to have a relatively normal day. Dreading it starting up again though.

Tropicana1 · 28/08/2022 12:39

CinderellaFant · 28/08/2022 12:47

Thanks ladies, I really hope it provides reassurance for other ladies in a similar position. I feel incredibly lucky today

Marshmallowmountain · 28/08/2022 12:53

@CinderellaFant so so pleased for you! X

Tubbytele · 28/08/2022 12:57

@CinderellaFant Amazing news! So so happy for you!

Theowlwhowasafraid · 28/08/2022 14:25

@CinderellaFant that is incredible news! You must feel so relieved! Little one is holding on tight ❤️

Theowlwhowasafraid · 28/08/2022 14:39

@Wouldloveanother @Lapin387 I’m on baby 2 but the bloat is real today! My jeans wouldn’t do up this morning! Sigh, I’m trying to eat healthily but it’s just all baby bloat I think. I hadn’t really lost the weight after my daughter so feeling a bit rubbish too!

@Heath2330 hi! I had a private scan with my daughter at 6 weeks and they saw an embryo with a heartbeat, I had another at 8 weeks 3 days and you could definitely see more then but I would say 7 weeks is fine! I really loved my scans as it helped bridge the wait until 12 weeks- will be booking one for around 7/8 weeks too!

my daughter decided to showcase her sickness and diarrhoea bug yesterday and I’m so tired- I’ve never been covered in so much puke 😂😂

Brunette1652 · 28/08/2022 16:06

Has anyone been for a seven week scan? Was it worth going to?

Heath2330 · 28/08/2022 16:30

Thanks for getting back to me oh hopefully will be able to see something then

I thought about eapu but I'm not concerned as I'm having symptoms or ember cramping with my second but not as much I wouldn't say they are painful at all I think a lot of is likely to be scar tissue from my section stretching and pulling

I'm on baby 3 and very bloated all the time too xx

ncbn1 · 28/08/2022 17:50

@Brunette1652 I went today and I measured 7+1, could see the heart beat and make out the head from the tail but that was about it! Was great to see though! Put my mind at rest

Emmar1989 · 28/08/2022 17:58

Hey, I should be due around April only found out yesterday. Came as a huge shock as our youngest is 9 and eldest just turned 12! According to my dates I’m 5 weeks today, feeling excited but very nervous!

alwaysseeingstars · 28/08/2022 18:12

@CinderellaFant that's amazing news, so happy for you!!

LauraA31 · 28/08/2022 18:23

cheekysausage · 28/08/2022 18:43

Hi everyone, can I join please?! This seems to be the most active thread I can find! A bit of background…I suffered a complete molar pregnancy at the beginning of the year. I had a D&C and had my HCG levels monitored afterwards. I got my first “all clear” 22/07 when my HCG was <4. My partner and I weren’t exactly careful and I ended up with a BFP. Felt really anxious, didn’t know if it was a viable pregnancy or the mole coming back. Impatient me booked an early scan and had it this morning at 6+2. I went to the scan prepared for the worst so imagine my surprise when the sonographer said I had reason to be DOUBLE happy…she could see TWINS!!!! 2 little sacs and 2 little heartbeats. EDD 21/04/23 🥰🥰🥰
