@Flowersflowers121 hehe! Yes generally at least a little late!!

I had my NHS dating scan today and measured to my dates so our due date is still May 1st!

I’ve got a retroverted flexed uterus (I think that’s how they describe it) so they had to do an internal scan, as well as the abdominal scan, which I don’t mind.

I’m not sure we’ll be able to wait until 20 weeks for the next scan!

How is everyone feeling today?

TisforTucan · 19/10/2022 20:26

I had my scan today, I'm 11 weeks and 5 days.. and the little person was like an acrobat 🤣🤣 so so crazy.. It was the nicest scan I have ever had, she showed me feet and hands and baby moving for ages, unfortunately I was on my own but it was lovely.

I'm due May 4th, but I'm having a section so most likely the week before. I'm still sick as a dog.. lost over a stone from being unwell but happy baby is ok.

raffika · 19/10/2022 21:09

@lmw88 I’ve been feeling a bit up and down. Nausea had mostly gone but the last 24 hours has been terrible, and I’m soooo tired. I had an asthma appointment this afternoon and headed straight home after, and was in bed by 4.30 until my hubby came home. How are you feeling? It is nice to share the journey with someone 🙂

i83 · 19/10/2022 22:26

Yes, I’m feeling very sicky still, have a lot of food aversions and heartburn. The tiredness is immense too!!

I’m just so happy though, as we’ve been trying for such a long time and had 3 losses.

The scans are incredible though! Think it’s all sinking in still!

lmw88 · 19/10/2022 22:30

@raffika agree the nausea definitely comes and goes. It doesn’t seem to linger all day for me like it had been but still get definite rough periods. I’ve not really been any more tired than normal…..I’ve had one little snooze one day but apart from that trying not to give in. Everyone’s symptoms are so subjective from what I’ve read.

wonderfulworld33 · 20/10/2022 06:53

Hey guys... is anyone else just not sleeping?! I am so tired yet keep having such broken sleep it's driving me mad! I can't seem to be able to lie in past 6.30 and I'm only ten weeks!

We had a 9 week scan and everything looked good, so just waiting two weeks now for the next one at 12 weeks 🤞

Nausea has calmed down but still there particularly in the night, tiredness is insane and the constipation is a pain in the !!!

Hope you are all OK.
So sorry to hear about those who have experienced losses. I know I am not out of the woods yet either 💔
Xx

wonderfulworld33 · 20/10/2022 07:35

Did anyone else's sore boobs disappear around 10 weeks? X

RugbyGirl1 · 20/10/2022 07:58

Hey everyone, hope you're all well. Sorry to hear of some sad losses - take it easy and hope you get all the support you need 💐

Lovely to see some of your 12 week scans, mine is also on Halloween! I had one at 8+4 and all was well with a strong heartbeat but always have that worrying feeling in the back of my mind for the 12 week scan. Had barely any symptoms at all apart from tiredness.

For those of you whose symptoms seem to be fading around week 10, I think this is fairly normal as it's when the placenta starts to take over?

I hope my boobs don't get much bigger, I already wear a 32GG 🙈😂

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 20/10/2022 08:51

@wonderfulworld33 I'm 10+3 and my boobs definitely hurt less! Still a bit sore to touch but loads better.

The nausea thankfully has gone from 11/10 constant to a 6/10 intermittent but I've got some food aversion and everything smells terrible.

I've got to travel for work 3 days next week so I'm hoping all will be OK cause I'll literally be the other end of the country. We have a private scan tomorrow - we had booked an early scan when we were seen in EPU so just delayed it a bit and it's coming at a good time just before travel and 10 days or so until my 12 week scan.

TisforTucan · 20/10/2022 09:19

My nausea and vomiting is still here, think I've got hyperemesis again. I've lost appetite too, has anyone else? Also I gag at certain foods (cant go food shopping) gone off certain drinks, no cola, squash, tea only apple juice.

My belly too, I've always been quite a small carrier but 12 weeks today and there's a huge bump 🤣🙈

Melusina123 · 20/10/2022 09:49

@RugbyGirl1 I usually wear a 30H so I feel your pain re: boobs getting bigger. I'm probably at a 30I right now I think. My theory/hope is that because large breasts are usually not very dense (i.e. lots of fat vs. breast tissue) there's lots of space for them to get denser before they have to get bigger. Hopefully!! Apparently main growth is first tri then post partum.

I'm 11+4 today. Nausea, tiredness and sore boobs still present, but getting better (except boobs, which are the same). None were very bad to start off with though. Getting some lower abdominal twinges and starting to see a bit of a bump. 12w scan on Monday - feeling very, very anxious...

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 20/10/2022 11:27

Just had my 12 week scan put back a week due to my EPU measurements - driing me mad waiting and now I have 2.5 weeks to wait not 1.5

TheBeesKnee · 20/10/2022 17:26

Had my flu jab today, I used a corporate voucher from work to try and save the NHS £16 🙄

My arm is feeling a bit sore and I want a nap!

Laura993 · 20/10/2022 18:04

I know how you feel @Melusina123 my symptoms are so much better too not that they were really bad in the first place either, I sometimes don’t even feel pregnant! It’s really worrying me now because I have my 12 week scan next week too. I just hope all is ok. The only main thing I have now is what I can describe as stretching in my stomach… it’s very strange and I hope the 12 week scan brings me reassurance 🤞🤞

raffika · 20/10/2022 18:41

Eugh, I’ve just tested positive for Covid 😭 I feel okay apart from a sore throat and crippling nausea. I don’t know if the Covid makes it worse, but this is the worst my nausea has been for about 3-4 weeks.

may111 · 20/10/2022 19:45

Just a quick question, I'm 8w 3d and have been feeling nauseous for about 2 weeks, however since Tuesday the sickness has stopped
Should I be concerned?

Isn't the flu jab free for pregnant people?

TheBeesKnee · 21/10/2022 12:32

Yes but the NHS still pays for it? This way my company's health insurance will cover the cost.

girlboss94 · 21/10/2022 14:27

@TheBeesKnee ah I misread and thought that you paid £16 but you wanted to avoid the cost to the NHS - my mistake!

i83 · 21/10/2022 16:06

Can I ask what make or brand people chose for new bras and are you happy with them?
I’m so in need of some comfy ones that actually fit!!

@tiantian1005 have you had your nipt test results yet? I was really surprised to get ours this afternoon.
Luckily, everything was low risk!! I’m so relieved.
It’s interesting as the “background probability” for Down’s Syndrome was 1 in 85 for us, which is quite scary.
The blood test (99% accurate) gave less than 1 in 10,000.
For us, it was worth paying for the Vision test, for peace of mind.

@raffika I’m so sorry to hear you’ve got covid. Take the very best care of yourself and ask for help if you need it. Have you had it before? I hope it’s just a mild case for you.

@may111 I think quite a few of us have had symptoms come and go so try not to worry. If you are very anxious though, maybe contact your local EPU.

@TheBeesKnee how have you felt today, after having your flu jab yesterday?

TheBeesKnee · 21/10/2022 16:19

@i83 this is my first ever flu jab and I feel fine compared to the Covid vaccines I had! With the Covid vaccine I was unwell for 2 days, very sore arm, feverish and generally feeling very run down. With this I feel maybe a bit tired and my arm is only sore if I poke the vaccine site 🤣

I just had a look at the bra I bought and it's this: m&s t33 3210/03151

I measured myself at home with the boob or bust calculator and it was a good fit. I wasn't a fan of the underwired ones and like how this one straps me down as they're very sensitive at the moment!

i83 · 21/10/2022 16:30

@TheBeesKnee glad you’re feel ok!

Thank you, that’s helpful.
I’ll measure myself at home too I think, then will order online, save going to busy shops!

tiantian1005 · 21/10/2022 16:40

@i83

I was just about to tag you! I got mine today as well - while driving LOL. Congrats on your results! I was very stressed about this as I just turned 39 too so high risk. Fortunately everything came back low risk as well I am very grateful but now anxious what else may go wrong.... also they told me the gender of the baby on the same call/email a lot information to digest! We are having a girl I cried with happiness. I am still very anxious and hopefully 12 week scan next week goes well and then its the 20 week.

i83 · 21/10/2022 16:51

@tiantian1005 Oh my goodness, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
A little girl, aawwwwww!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Did you have any inkling as to whether you were having a boy or a girl, before you received the results?

I’m 39 too and my BMI is a bit higher than it should be so it was good to have accurate/reliable results to go off, rather than panicking for no reason.

What day is your 12 weeks scan next week?
