Oh that's very exciting @Baguette2021 - have you shared the news with any family yet?

I'm not really having any symptoms either @wonderfulworld33 which I'm trying to stay chill about. I've had sore boobs since the beginning but I'm a bit more used to them now. Occasional cramps and occasional queasiness but nothing noticeable enough to shout out that I'm pregnant. I'm going to sleep earlier in the evenings, but also it's dark earlier. So hopefully everything is just plodding along, and maybe it will all hit at some point.

Snowflakes2 · 06/10/2022 09:15

Thanks @RugbyGirl1 although I'm due in June now (if everything goes ok) I really hope it does!
Just wanted to let yous all know as yous were all so nice to me 😊

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 06/10/2022 09:15

@Myotherusernameisaferrari twins?! Congratulations.

I'm just chilling at approx 7-8 weeks, feeling v tired and boobs are huge. On holiday and my husband is finding me in a bikini more distracting than usual! Have a scan on Monday so just crossing fingers hard for that 🤞🤞🤞

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 06/10/2022 09:16

Ahh, welcome back @Snowflakes2 - I really hope all goes well for you.

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 06/10/2022 09:20

Fingers crossed all goes well @Snowflakes2!

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl thank you - I think I'm still in shock...

Snowflakes2 · 06/10/2022 10:18

@Myotherusernameisaferrari TWINS! Amazing!! You thought bad news then came out with double the news 😁 congratulations.

RugbyGirl1 · 06/10/2022 11:43

Oh eep @Myotherusernameisaferrari twins! That's so exciting!!! Do you have twins in the family?

@Essexgalhere good luck with your scan today, hope it goes ok.

Glad I'm not the only one with hardly any symptoms. Had my booking in appointment this morning, all good really, just got asked a million questions and covered everything from general health, family history, living arrangements, mental health, family upbringings and support networks!

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 06/10/2022 12:41

@RugbyGirl1 we do yes but for some reason the idea had never crossed my mind. I've felt sick as a dog and absolutely exhausted so possibly one reason for feeling quite so horrible.

Glad booking in went well!

I don't know if anyone can remember me from a couple of weeks back, I sadly miscarried.
Well today iv had my BFP! Similar symptoms to last time so quite anxious but we will see.

@Snowflakes2 sorry for your loss and congratulations , lovely to hear you’ve had a bfp xx

AmericanGirl915 · 06/10/2022 12:47

@RugbyGirl1 @wonderfulworld33 I'm 9+2 and haven't had massive symptoms apart from fatigue. My boobs are slightly larger and slightly sore, and I have slight nausea that just sticks around all day but nothing at all to what I expected pregnancy to be...

I have my early scan this Saturday so just praying there's a healthy heartbeat!

Congrats @Myotherusernameisaferrari that is so exciting!!!

Melusina123 · 06/10/2022 15:47

Had my booking appt today. Here's a rundown for those curious:

  • Height + weight
  • Carbon Monoxide (breathaliser)
  • Blood draw for blood type, rhesus status, HIV, syphilis, Hepatitis, complete blood count, sickle cell and thalassaemia (I think)
  • Urinanalysis for protein and infection
  • LOTS of questions about medical history, mainly me but also my family and partner's, questions about substance use, mental health, domestic situation
  • Questions about where I wanted to give birth and whether I was planning to breastfeed!
  • Surprisingly few questions about my previous scans, how pregnancy has been going, etc
  • Very large binder of information that I was told to take everywhere with me from now on.
It all took about an hour.

@AmericanGirl915 @wonderfulworld33 My symptoms are very similar. Constant mild nausea (enough to make me not very attracted to food, but not enough to stop me eating), constant fatigue, boobs a bit sore sometimes. I felt like a bit of an imposter at my booking appt, despite having had scans to show there's definitely something in there!

@Myotherusernameisaferrari wow, congrats!! First twins on the thread, I think?

Yes, my parents know and a few close friends! How about you?

tiantian1005 · 06/10/2022 20:35

Has anyone got a small bump at 10 weeks as well? I am normally slim build with flat belly but over the last few days I have a noticeable bump which surely is still too early? I convinced myself it could be all the rubbish I ate when nausea was bad....

Charl881 · 06/10/2022 21:40

@tiantian1005 yes I am finally conceding I have a bump and not just bloat. I’m plus size so with my son it took ages to show but this time I definitely think I look pregnant at 10 weeks. Going to have to get maternity clothes out soon I think.

@Myotherusernameisaferrari that is so exciting for you! Congratulations. Although I imagine your head must be all over the place as well.

girlboss94 · 07/10/2022 06:47

@tiantian1005 @Charl881 how can you tell the difference between bump and bloat? I'm absolutely tiny and always have been but definitely have a bump but not sure if it's bloat or I'm showing early because I'm so skinny?

Melusina123 · 07/10/2022 07:06

@girlboss94 @tiantian1005 At this stage the bump would be very low, close to the pubic bone. I can see that bit starting to change shape a little, but it's quite subtle (I'm middle-high of 'healthy' weight range per BMI). So anything above that (eg just below belly button) is probably bloat.

girlboss94 · 07/10/2022 07:08

@Melusina123 I think mine is just bloat. I am expecting to show early as my bmi doesn't even fit into a category (never has always been very underweight) but yeah there's nowhere for me to fill out or any room for the baby to grow without me showing soon. Maybe I do see it getting lower but it is so very early days still

Laura993 · 07/10/2022 09:41

I’m around 9 weeks now and just feel like my symptoms have eased a bit. Does anyone else feel this way? It is quite worrying.

I have my booking appointment next week so I think I may mention it. I cannot wait to see baby at 12 weeks it feels like the weeks are going so slow!

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 07/10/2022 12:46

@Laura993 it's a classic point for symptoms to ease as placenta begins to take over - no need to feel too worried ☺️

Melusina123 · 07/10/2022 13:56

@Laura993 I'm wk9 and feeling a bit less nauseous this week too. Hopefully just as @IWillBeWaxingAnOwl says, the placenta swinging into action!

Flowersflowers121 · 07/10/2022 18:15

I'm just over 10 weeks now and find myself crying at the most ridiculous things (including an episode of the kardashians hahaha).

Still been feeling extremely nauseous and sick about 3 times a day UNTIL today where I haven't been sick yet. Desperately praying I'm turning a corner now and the sickness will wear off 🤞🤞🤞

Got my 12 week scan on the 18th. Eeeeeek, so anxious but excited

My lmp was August 8, I ovulated on August 23. I took lots of ovulation tests and tracked my cycle very thoroughly.
My first positive test was September 3rd. I should have been 8w0d on Monday, went in for the ultrasound and I’m measuring 6w0d with a very low heartbeat. She said my dates could just be off, or the baby could have stopped growing at 6 weeks. I go back next week for another ultrasound. Please tell me any insight you may have, good or bad I just want to have an idea. How would I only be 6 weeks today if I tested positive over 4 weeks ago?

i83 · 08/10/2022 14:08

Hi everyone, just catching up with how you’re all doing.

@TheBeesKnee sorry to hear of your experience at the booking in appointment. We were a bit the same, as we got lost on the way there, didn’t know where to go once we found the actual building(!) and it was all a bit awkward! We’ll actually be having a different midwife for the rest of our journey too so hopefully we’ll all get on better with the new one!

@Myotherusernameisaferrari Really glad the scan went well! TWINS!!! How exciting!!!! How are you feeling about it?

@AstroAl Thats great for the scan. How are you getting on? I hope the anxiety is at a manageable level for you at the moment.

@Essexgalhere how did your scan go last week?

@Snowflakes2 I’m so pleased for you! It’s really positive that you’ve fallen pregnant again so soon. Please do keep in touch with us here and let us know how you are getting on.

@AmericanGirl915 how has your scan gone today?

@polarbearoverthere @Flowersflowers121 @Melusina123 I was so very very nauseous and absolutely exhausted too but my symptoms started ease at 10 weeks. Hopefully they will for you too, with everything still going well.

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl how was your holiday? Good luck with your scan on Monday!

@RugbyGirl1 @wonderfulworld33 @AmericanGirl915 try not to worry about the lack of symptoms and enjoy it! Many of my friends had hardly any symptoms at all and they’ve now got healthy babies ranging from 1 month to 18 months old!

@tiantian1005 @Charl881 I’m 10 weeks too and have a bump as well!! I thought I was just imagining it but it’s definitely there!
My bloating seemed to ease off about a week ago so I think it is bump, it’s low down too.

@Laura993 My symptoms eased too and I was a bit worried like you but I had a scan on Thursday and all is ok! The baby was wriggling around lots, had caught up in size, had a good heartbeat and had plenty of fluid around him/her apparently.

@Flowersflowers121 I keep crying over silly things too (but have managed to hold it together for some worrying and stressful news we’ve had this week) but also burst into laughter randomly as well! My partner is enjoying it, as I keep finding his jokes really funny!
How are you feeling today? Hopefully your symptoms and the sickness will ease off too.

@Kb96 I’m sorry I don’t have any insight to share with you but I just wanted to say that I hope everything is ok. Thinking of you and praying that you and your little will be fine.

xx

Snowflakes2 · 08/10/2022 17:16

Thank you so much @i83
I'm going to wait a week then do a digital if I'm still pregnant by then.
Been having backache and cramps but the good thing is they arnt severe like last time but I'm just very scared.
Il update next week if no news inbetween then.
Hope everyone else is having a smooth journey, I absolutely love being pregnant (when I'm past 12 weeks). It's such an amazing time.

Myotherusernameisaferrari · 08/10/2022 21:39

@i83 news is still sinking in I think!

The nausea is killing me though. I spent today wanting to throw up every time i put something in my mouth including water and dry heaving. I'm going to ask about antiemetics I think.
