Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

@Skylark1990 wonderful news 😊
@Orangesaretheonly Hope you get a better response from the GP, it's horrible when you get someone be rude to you. Hopefully the spotting is nothing to worry about (seems to be pretty common from what I've read!) but definitely can't hurt speaking to the GP! I believe @41andtryingforfirst has had spotting throughout most of her pregnancy so far so may be useful to chat to? 😊

41andtryingforfirst · 12/08/2022 12:39

@Orangesaretheonly yup I'm the resident bleeder here! 😂 happy to help any way I can x

@Skylark1990 that s amazing.. How far along are you today? ..i v got an early scan on Monday.. I ll hopefully be 6+1 then.

simplythequest · 12/08/2022 12:43

@Skylark1990 I'm so pleased it's good news 😀

@CinderellaFant I'm so glad you started everyone talking about this! I've always associated the runs with the start of AF so I've been super paranoid every time it's a bit too easy and actually relieved when I swing back to having to make an effort 😆 early pregnancy has driven me mad!!

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 12:43

@SprinGarden
I'm 5+2. Best of luck for your scan on Mon 💞

@Orangesaretheonly I would definitely contact your local epau, ask for a scan to check things ok. They should do one if you have bleeding it bad pain or both. How many weeks are you? Xx

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 12:44

Thank you everyone for the well wishes, you're all lovely 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘😘

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 12:55

@NiceToChat88 I think if you hold out till 7/8 weeks you're much more likely to see a strong heartbeat and bigger little bean! X

Only 4+4. Just spoke to epau and she said as I'm not soaking pads or any clots and it's only on wiping and the pain is fairly light that it's just reassurance they offer at this point. If either pain or bleeding get worse to call the pregnancy advice line and they will refer me to them as they don't do self referrals. She said it could be implantation bleeding still.

It's so hard to say as pain is so personal!

I feel slightly better having spoken to someone but I am very anxious still!

Wouldloveanother · 12/08/2022 13:02

My early scan is booked for 6+3, will this be too early to see a heartbeat? The lady on the phone said they can generally pick them up at 6 weeks, so I asked to add a few days. But it does seem early.

ancienthouse · 12/08/2022 13:08

@Orangesaretheonly oh no, it's so worrying isn't it when all you can do is wait it out. I hope it turns out to be nothing.

KennAdams · 12/08/2022 13:27

I've been the same @Orangesaretheonly but mine has subsided now. It's such a worry.

Definitley try and get in touch with your local EPAU. 💐

So I've been referred to the EPAU. Just waiting on a call. The spotting has stopped. I've taken a CB weeks indicator and that's given me 2-3 which is accurate as I'm 17dpo today.

Crossing my fingers that's a good sign.

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/08/2022 13:43

Hi everyone

I've been wondering whether to join this group as I've had 3 miscarriages on the past and didn't want to jinx it.

I had a ultrasound on Tuesday when I was 5w5d where I saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. I have another scan on Sunday to see if we can get a heartbeat at 6w3d. I'm so scared because all our mcs have been around the 6 week mark. The second we had was a mmc where we saw a heartbeat at about 6 weeks but then it stopped progressing.

I've been having lots of period type cramps for the last 3 weeks and very tender boobs. I'm a bit worried today because I've had no cramps at all and my boobs feel less tender. Think I just need some company until our next scan on Sunday. Absolutely dreading going and not seeing any development!

CinderellaFant · 12/08/2022 13:43

I've just phoned my EPU as last time with the miscarriage they said they would give me a reassurance scan in my next pregnancy. they've given me a scan for Sunday, I didn't realise it would be so soon! I'll be 6+3.

KennAdams · 12/08/2022 13:45

Good luck @CinderellaFant thats good they've got you in quick 😍

xttcbabyno1x · 12/08/2022 14:01

Anyone got proper symptoms so far? Only thing I've had is some cramping, insomnia 🥱 (waking up at 3am and not going back to sleep) , some cramping as well as my boobs make me feel sick, I can't look at them 😂 xx

hotelp · 12/08/2022 14:05

Think it was this thread but apologises if I'm wrong.

I'm 5+2 and my clearblue has just said 2-3 weeks.

I'm sure a week or so ago someone shared a reassuring article about these dates not being entirely accurate? If anyone has it could they repost please?

hotelp · 12/08/2022 14:08

Also sorry for the typos, bit upset, was hoping for the 3+ :(

The lady at the epau was very helpful but said they aren't self referral so id need either the pregnancy advice line or gp to refer me but at the moment sounds like implantation type of bleeding and as it's not heavy or painful to just wait.
You're right it is just worrying. Glad yours has stopped, that's good news!

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 14:22

@Orangesaretheonly hopefully the bleeding stops soon and you start feeling better. As it's so early they wouldn't see anything on a scan and like she said probably could do much. But if the pain or bleeding gets worse definitely call back or ring 111. My fingers are crossed it's just some residual implantation bleeding 💞💞💞xxx🤞🤞🤞

@chasingtherainbow1 welcome! We have chatted on other threads ❤️ I've also had 3 losses so understand a little of how you feel. Just had a v early scan at 5+2 and also saw the yolk sac and gestational sac but no hb or embryo yet, going back when I'm 7 weeks to check on things. Hope your upcoming scan goes well 🤞❤️ we just have to hope don't we!

@Wouldloveanother 6+3 you should see the hb if your dates are correct! To be on safe side you could delay till closer to 7 week, but if you're sure on dates 6+3 should be good I think 😌

@hotelp oh bless you, try not to worry. These tests are notoriously innacurate esp the illusive 3+! It's best to hold off till maybe 5+4/5 to test for the 3+ as it's a very high threshold and can easily not be there at just gone 5 weeks. Also you need to use FMU. And I know of people who were still getting 2-3 at 6 weeks and all was fine. I don't have the article but hope you're ok. Maybe wait 2-3 days then test again ❤️ I'm planning to test on Monday I think when I'll be 5+5 so we could do together?! X

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/08/2022 14:30

@Skylark1990 yes we have! Glad your scan went well today! I'll be so relieved if we make it to 7 weeks with a heartbeat as it would be the furthest we have got. But it just feels like I'll never get there. For a scan Sunday when I'll be 6w3d then another at 7w5d of all is well. The midwife called yesterday and confirmed my booking date but I didn't really want to book in because all this planning ahead feels like such a jinx!

J1290 · 12/08/2022 14:45

My scan booked for 6 weeks and 5 days. Wanted todo 7 but not childcare and cant wait till 8 weeks lol impatience

Orangesaretheonly · 12/08/2022 15:08

I am fairly certain this is a chemical. Have been bleeding light red blood pretty much all day. Losing hope now.
Got to go away to a wedding this weekend so hopefully that'll keep my mind busy. Xx

belephant · 12/08/2022 15:14

@Skylark1990 yay I'm so glad the scan went well! X

@Orangesaretheonly I bled quite often from 6 weeks until about 8 weeks in my first pregnancy, and there were no issues. EPAU said that it was quite common, they did a scan to check but couldn't see anything so said not to worry and everything did indeed turn out fine ☺️ Keep pestering GP/midwives if it carries on x

belephant · 12/08/2022 15:15

When I say they couldn't see anything, I mean they couldn't see any problems x
