Hi all

Thought I'd start a new thread. Just got my BFP. Had a MC in May so tentatively optimistic. Looks like my due date is April 1st. Would be good to get to know others in the same boat x

@hotelp if it says 2-3 weeks that means it's 2-3 weeks since you conceived- you have to add another two weeks on so it's entirely possible you are 5 weeks! 😀

CinderellaFant · 12/08/2022 15:25

@Orangesaretheonly sorry to hear you are still bleeding, I know it's hard to remain optimistic but don't count yourself out yet! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞

I had 2-3 8 days ago though :(

But yes will wait and test again. The irony of me saying I won't have early scans to avoid anxiety and then peeing on sticks like theirs no tomorrow Grin

Thinking of everyone going through the uncertainty Flowers and chuffed for everyone getting good news along the way!

Think it was this thread but apologises if I'm wrong.

I'm 5+2 and my clearblue has just said 2-3 weeks.

I'm sure a week or so ago someone shared a reassuring article about these dates not being entirely accurate? If anyone has it could they repost please?

I’m your girl here @hotelp

i posted about exactly the same thing the day before yesterday. I got 2-3 at 14dpo, so merrily tested again at 21dpo expecting 3+ but was a bit deflated to get 2-3. I got 2-3 again with FMU yesterday (22dpo) and started to panic, but it changed to 3+ yesterday afternoon! I got 2-3 again last night but wasn’t overly concerned as my wee was diluted and it says to use with FMU. Tested again today and back to 3+. So unless my HCG went down and then back up again (which is impossible AFAIK) it goes to show how an extra glass of water can make all the difference, and if you’re right on the threshold between two brackets it’s easy for it not to be very accurate.

I won’t say stop testing as I know how much easier it is to say than do, but I would give it 48 hours then test with FMU Smile

SavedByGraceAlone · 12/08/2022 15:39

@xttcbabyno1x I'm the same: cramping, sore boobs and a didn't sleep well a couple of nights this week (although could be to do with the heat!). No other symptoms, but am still only at 4+5. How many weeks are you?

Also, anyone else using Cyclogest? I'm on twice a day and worried that a lot of it just leaks out (even though I lie down for 20 mins after inserting).

41andtryingforfirst · 12/08/2022 15:41

@SavedByGraceAlone I'm on cyclogest. What dosage are you on?

I lie down for an hour as it leaks otherwise x

OP posts:
SavedByGraceAlone · 12/08/2022 15:45

@41andtryingforfirst am on 400mg twice a day: morning and evening.
Wow, an hour! Maybe I should prolong mine too... Do you find it helps keep it all in?

Am also worried it's giving me false symptoms like heavy boobs, so can't tell if they're from the pregnancy progressing well or just the progesterone support. x

chasingtherainbow1 · 12/08/2022 15:58

I use cyclogest and found it's a lot better to use in the back end 🙈 no leakage and you can just get on with your day. Doctor said it makes no difference and the absorption is the same. Feels a bit wrong at first but you get used to it 😂

Sunnyxo · 12/08/2022 16:25

@SavedByGraceAlone definitely agree with @chasingtherainbow1 do them the back end if you can! Not only are they easier and less messy but TMI I was doing them vaginally and they caused me brown discharge and spotting on tuesday (from irritation) which after two losses gave me a right scare! Got scanned and all okay, but had a UTI too (not sure if related to the peasary) and the pessary was coming out for days after with spotting too 😫 cleared up now though 🙏🏻

SavedByGraceAlone · 12/08/2022 16:31

Thank you @chasingtherainbow1 and @Sunnyxo - I must bring myself to try it... Also worried about irritation etc, so back end sounds better!

@Sunnyxo I know what you mean, I'm the same after several losses in the past and no children yet - just constantly anxious about every little thing and yet can't help be hopeful for this one! How far along are you?

Sunnyxo · 12/08/2022 16:35

@chasingtherainbow1 it is very odd at first and takes bit of getting used to!
aw sorry for the losses, it does create a lot of anxiety with every twinge or loss of feeling, but fingers crossed will get there! I’m 6+1 today, how about you?
Have you got any early reassurance scans booked?

xttcbabyno1x · 12/08/2022 16:36

@SavedByGraceAlone hey lovely! I'm only 4+5 too!! Xxx

SavedByGraceAlone · 12/08/2022 16:52

@Sunnyxo not sure if you mean me :) but am at 4+5, so very early still.
My HCG were only at 20 on Monday (4+1), which got me mega worried, but am now literally waiting for a call from the EPU any moment to let me know if they progressed as they should... eeek!
So exciting you're at 6+1 already. Hope you're feeling well! And I really hope we both keep going :) x

@xttcbabyno1x ahh so exciting we're the same! feels so early still, can't wait for proper symptoms! x

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 16:55

@SavedByGraceAlone I am also on progesterone, I find it will always leak out even when I do it at night and lie down for hours, it leaks out eventually 😂 apparently the hormone absorbs within 20-30 mins tho so don't worry as long as you lie down for around that time you should be good. As @Sunnyxo and @chasingtherainbow1 say doing back end can help, I tent to mix it up and do vaginal at night, back end in the morning, esp if I don't have time to lie down for half an hour!

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 16:56

Well definitely have had some nausea this afternoon. After some fleeting moments last couple days... Maybe this is the start. Seems to go away if I eat something. Not strong or very bad yet and only a couple times this afternoon but makes me feel a little reassured 🥰

Sunnyxo · 12/08/2022 17:04

@SavedByGraceAloneahh I did sorry, always getting mixed up on here 😂

hoping they come back all fine for you! don’t stress too much, that would still be so early, normal tests pick up 25hcg and give such faint lines at over 4 so I’m sure 20 would be normal for 4 weeks 😊
thanks so much, getting bouts of nausea, not as much cramping now. Hope you’re feeling okay, best wishes xx

Lapin387 · 12/08/2022 17:11

I’m just so tired. But 2.5 year old woke at 11, 1.30, and 3.30-5 am, then I finally allowed her to feed from whatever time the sun rose 😴. I dumped her on husband from 6.30-7.30 though and she cried for me the whole hour (I slept though). Going through such a mummy phase. Making me question a bit the wisdom of adding another.

Wouldloveanother · 12/08/2022 17:25

Is she poorly Lapin?

I’m both tired and unable to sleep. I just napped for 15 minutes or so only to wake up with the most awful stomach cramps and then spent quite a harrowing ten minutes on the loo 😂 ive had an upset stomach for about a week

41andtryingforfirst · 12/08/2022 17:32

@SavedByGraceAlone ah ok I'm on 200mg twice a day and not sure why as everyone I have asked has said they're on 400?

I do mine vaginally as they're flushing the brown blood out. (this of course is in my head but after 22 days of bleeding you'll do anything to make yourself feel better).

I can't remember who was having the conversations about the 3+? Someone on here a while back posted a really good link which basically showed that other than provide entertainment there's no medically sound reason to rely on the digital tests as they're unreliable. I was that convinced by it that I stopped testing and have no idea if I ever got a 3+. In fact in the last pregnancy I miscarried 2 days after my 3+. So what I'm saying is don't worry if you haven't had one - it's a little bit of a scam to make money out of anxious pregnant women (of which I am one so totally understand!)

@Skylark1990 so happy you got to see the sac in the right place!

I think I might have lost track of all the other conversations. I find threads on here quite difficult to follow if I'm online for a few hours.

I've been getting myself a bit wound up by the fact that so many of you have nausea and I don't? By my reckoning I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so thought I would be puking by now? I know I should be grateful but what with "brown blood gate" it would have offered some much needed reassurance.

Anyways - 65 hours to go and counting until scan day. Ugh.

Lapin387 · 12/08/2022 17:33

@Wouldloveanother nope 🤞but a bit unsettled after two weeks at the in laws and now being back at nursery (but with big sis not going to school). Hopefully she’ll accept the no milk at night soon again and sleep better! It’s hard to tell what’s first trimester fatigue and what’s just normal for sleep deprivation 🙈

alwaysseeingstars · 12/08/2022 18:12

Anyone have mild cramping after peeing? Also have had a few spasms that feel a bit like an electric shock in my side 🤨

ncbn1 · 12/08/2022 18:21

Yes! Nice to know it’s not just me thinking are these all normal things!
