@Bunny2006 thanks!

Ah, I must have got myself confused about what's needed for what. Does the prescription exemption cover dental stuff too? I have my 16wk appointment on Monday so maybe I'll get that then.

Daisychainsx · 01/09/2022 15:31

Aw congratulations @PelicansHB 🎊 😁 and so you should allow yourself to be excited! 😊

I just got a flight from the UK to Ireland and I swear I think I felt my first flutters up in the air! Maybe the baby didn't like the aeroplane or something, but it was totally fluttery for the last 45 minutes of the 1 hour flight, I'm home now and I can still feel them every now and then! I've never been pregnant before so I have no frame of reference... it might just be my imagination, but I'm gonna allow myself to believe its my little baby saying hello 😁

PeanutButterFalcon · 01/09/2022 20:19

@PelicansHB it will cover your dental care too. I got mine at the booking appointment at 8 weeks so I would definitely insist you get it if you haven’t already.

mat form is to inform work you are pregnant and arrange your maternity leave. You will only get one so take a photo/copy of it incase it gets lost/needed for anything else. You can get it after 20 weeks, given at you 25/28th week appointment depending on if it’s your first. If work are asking for it earlier than this you can request it but not until after 20 weeks.

Hi everyone,
I'm 15+6 today! Please can someone link me to the Facebook group? I didn't want to join incase joining outed me before I had announced.
But we have announced baby now!!

Anyone please? I've asked a few times and not sure how to join without a link from here

Frida9 · 01/09/2022 21:00

Hi everyone, I'm 17+5 today due start of February. I'm a bit worried that I'm not putting on enough weight, I've only put on about 3-4 pounds so far, should it not be more than that by now? I had a mc in March and have got so far with this pregnancy that it would be absolutely devastating to lose it. Next midwife appointment isn't for 7 weeks

Cocolatte24 · 01/09/2022 21:20

How much water do you drink? You need to drink a lot of water to help constipation. The gut draws on water to push everything through.

failing that prunes, prunes and more prunes or lactulose just be careful as the reverse will happen!!

Cocolatte24 · 01/09/2022 21:22

@Scorpio8 reply above was for you, sorry forgot to tag you

Cocolatte24 · 01/09/2022 21:25

@HallieHufflepuff there was never a link, there was one person who was adding people one by one. If you want to DM me your name I can try and add you as a friend and then invite you in?

Bella9992 · 01/09/2022 21:33

@PelicansHB yes I got my maternity exemption certificate at my booking appointment, it was sent electronically and received later that day so definitely worth asking at your appointment. And congratulations!!

Bella9992 · 01/09/2022 21:37

Sorry to hear @Scorpio8 , definitely think it's worth speaking to your GP if you haven't. It sounds like you might be feeling the baby by what your describe, so exciting!

I started feeling really rough this morning, had a fever and my throat was swollen, saw my GP and I have a throat infection, hoping antibiotics kick in soon 🤞. I've never had any issues with my throat before and rarely get a sore throat when ill so took me by surprise!

@Cocolatte24

I probably do need to drink more water but I have and still nothing. I actually eating all sorts to make me go.

I suffered before fallen pregnant and it feels worse now. I will get another Lactulose.

My issue is that the baby so low in my pelvis can actually feel it. Could be why my constipation bad too.
So uncomfortable at just don't feel right at all. Maybe once I get bigger baby will go up.

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 02/09/2022 08:25

Hi all,
I'm 16+5 today, first pregnancy.
I haven't felt any kicks at all. What about anyone else?

I'm a nervous person and I'm getting worried that something isn't right. Last scan/check I had was 9th August.

YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch · 03/09/2022 09:36

@HallieHufflepuff I'm 18+4 and haven't felt anything. This is my second pregnancy. I felt the first initial pops with my first from 16 weeks.

Try not to worry it could be based on where the placenta is, they're still tiny so may not be moving big enough to feel it x

Akmc · 03/09/2022 10:45

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch exactly the same here. 18w and nothing, but at around 15w there were a few. I wonder why we felt the earlier but not later ones, as everything has moved ‘up’ perhaps? @HallieHufflepuff with my first I was well into my 20th week before I noticed anything, and the mw was entirely unsurprised, so it isn’t particularly uncommon. When’s your next appointment? Hopefully you’ll get to hear something on the doppler - that always made me feel less anxious!

Hi im 16+2 and this is my second healthy pregnancy.. Its completely normal not to feel anything yet especially if its your first, they say its more common to feel from 20weeks onwards with your first but i know some people have reported earlier. With my DS i felt him at 21 weeks, nothing at all so far with this one and on Thursday the MW was able to hear a HB.. Hope this helps as i know its not easy not to worry💕

Scorpio8 · 03/09/2022 14:56

I definitely forgotten the other two pregnancies.

Fee like my first not even sure what's going on. Bad constipation but doing what everyone told me.
I felt baby was and now I don't just wondering if baby has moved up now.
Because I was bloated now belly looks like it's gone down a bit.
Just thinking it's all changed again and still think I feel movement not sure though as feels different.

Scorpio8 · 03/09/2022 14:57

*low l

HallieHufflepuff · 03/09/2022 16:52

@Akmc I'm seeing the midwife on Tuesday but next scan isn't until the end of the month.
Hopefully midwife will hear heartbeat which would reassure me.

@YoureAMeanOneMrGrinch Thank you, that's reassuring! I'm worrying about not feeling anything. Everyone knows now and it's making me nervous in case something is wrong. My little nieces are so excited for a cousin.

@blibbyblobb That does help, thank you! It is my first pregnancy yeah so I have no idea what's normal or when things should happen. I have some apps and my nhs leaflets but otherwise no idea what I'm doing haha.

Akmc · 05/09/2022 22:00

People I have a question about belly buttons (sorry). It’s my third pregnancy so I’m definitely showing, and there’s always a build up of bloat throughout the day which does make it pop more than expected for 18 weeks, however today I noticed some tenderness in my stomach area building during the day, & discovered that my bellybutton is the source of the pain and is a masssive (like >1.5cm radius) bulge which hurts to touch, including bending over to clean up. Anyone else? 🫠
