I forgot to ask if anyone baby is laying low in pelvis and would turn so they could do measurements?

Scorpio8 · 25/08/2022 21:27

*wouldn't

Bella9992 · 26/08/2022 08:48

They had trouble measuring as baby wasn't co-operating but eventually managed to. Same happened with my first and I had to jump around a lot!
Are they seeing you again to try to measure @Scorpio8?

I'm 15 weeks now and suddenly feel more anxious the last few days. We've just started telling people and told my team this week as couldn't hide it anymore, which I think is whats probably kicked it off and now paranoid whether I should have waited longer. I'm feeling baby move but it's sporadic at the moment (which is understandable as they're still tiny)! I remember feeling like this last time and feel like this in between bit until the 20 week scan a bit strange and quite nerve wrecking.

Bunny2006 · 26/08/2022 10:46

My baby was very low at the 12 week scan and wouldn't move despite lots of jumping, walking, hip movements! We thought we'd have to go back but got there same day in the end.

I had a private scan (at 17 weeks) on Wednesday and baby is measuring good and we found out the gender :D A girl! Which surprised us and for no particular reason we really thought it would be boy haha!

Scorpio8 · 26/08/2022 12:51

@Bella9992
Going Tuesday for screening but sure if I meant to rebook ultrasound or he done then.

Scorpio8 · 27/08/2022 08:10

@Bella9992

I feel better since having the scan but we started telling people. I told my parents yesterday and I understand how you are feeling but trying to be positive.
Even my own mum said we must be positive and thought she wouldn't be happy but she was.
But still many people to tell.

stockpilingallthecheese · 27/08/2022 15:55

Has anyone had any brown discharge recently? I had some earlier today, not loads so far but had such a panic when I saw it in my knickers. It's definitely brown rather than fresh blood at the moment at least. Of course now I'm anxious about it so convincing myself I've got stomach pains which I'm sure I don't. Going to message the midwife in the hope she can reassure me Hmm

BritInNZ · 27/08/2022 21:53

Bad news - on my return to NZ I got COVID 😭 this meant I had to postpone my ultrasound and combined testing. I couldn't book until 2 September, which means I will be over the 13 weeks 6 days threshold for combined testing. Has anyone had anything similar? I'm worried they won't be able to do it now! Luckily we had a scan the week before we left the UK to check everything was okay - I find my scan funny as it's like the baby is planking and not in the usual cute position 😂

Hi everyone,
I'm 15+6 today! Please can someone link me to the Facebook group? I didn't want to join incase joining outed me before I had announced.
But we have announced baby now!!

Fedupmum21 · 29/08/2022 00:36

Hi everyone, so I found out two weeks ago that I was pregnant, had a scan on the 24th and I was 16 weeks gone 🙈 I’m still in utter shock and can’t believe it, this will be my third after I had my daughter last year at 28+6 due to severe pre eclampsia. Has anyone else had pre eclampsia before and now pregnant again? I have my first consultant appointment tomorrow morning at 9am and I am so nervous. We were not planning on a third and it’s taking me a while to get used to the idea after everything with my daughter. How’s everyone doing?

Akmc · 29/08/2022 18:04

@Fedupmum21 hi, and hopefully you’ve recovered from the shock?! 😘 Good luck with your appointment tomorrow, hopefully since it happened last time they’ll have you on the track and fingers crossed this means a bit less scariness at the end? 🤞 PE not something I’ve had, so I’ve nothing meaningful to add, sorry!

Scorpio8 · 31/08/2022 07:19

Has everyone told family now and friends now?
I feel a bit anxious again have bad constipation still. I have been trying all sorts and may have to get doctor to prescribe lactulose again.
I was fine but think it's because we have told more family/friends.
I just don't feel well with my stomach, back.
I felt like this before but saw scan and was okay but suppose trying to get on with it.

Daisychainsx · 31/08/2022 07:38

I told my family the day I got my positive test 🤣 we're a very close knit family and I knew I'd want them there every step of the way, and if something bad happened I would need my mum and SIL 100%. And I told all my friends at 9 weeks as that's when I was home visiting (I moved country in march).
How far on are you now @Scorpio8?
I'm coming on 16 weeks and sporting a real baby bump now! And my boobs have gone up about 3 sizes 😱 I love the bump but I do wonder if I'll ever be slim again... looking at nice little dresses in the shops is torture 😅 but I got myself a haircut and some nice new maternity clothes yesterday..embracing the bump!🤰

Scorpio8 · 31/08/2022 07:58

@Daisychainsx

I am 14 weeks now.

I guess it makes no difference when you tell family/, friend.

Got the bad wind again it's driving me mad lol.

I got a bit of a bump feel bigger than 14 weeks.

Somesome · 31/08/2022 08:08

hey lovely people, I'm in the fb group but thought I'd come check the thread as I haven't posted in ages. How are you all? I'm 14+4 now. Had my combined screening and dating scan last week but I'm still waiting to hear back about the blood results. I had the strangest app message yesterday afternoon saying I'd declined one of them, which isn't true at all. Contacted my midwife who said another one of her patients had had the same thing today so she would investigate today. The NT measurement was completely normal so I'm trying not to panic.

HallieHufflepuff · 31/08/2022 09:19

Hi what's the link for the Facebook group please?

Fedupmum21 · 31/08/2022 10:33

@Akmc yes I think we have just about digested the news! The consultant appointment actually went really well, he basically said (which I already knew) that he can’t say if I will get PE again this time or not, but he is keeping a very close eye on me this time round, so feeling a lot better. My last baby was small (due to the PE) she was below the third so it was all very stressful so hoping things are a bit better this time round. I’m on aspirin and getting lots of scans etc and he said that if I have no BP issues and baby isn’t small this time then he will keep me pregnant as long as possible so feeling hopeful! How are you doing?
Would love to join the FB group as well please if anyone has the link x

Akmc · 31/08/2022 16:28

@Fedupmum21 well, great! Will keep everything crossed for you this time around, and hopefully this time 20odd weeks, everything will be 😍.
Cannot freaking believe I’m 18 weeks on Sat. Almost half way! RIDICULOUS. With Christmas in the middle of the second half, it’s just going to fly.

Bella9992 · 31/08/2022 16:50

@Scorpio8 I'm feeling very similar with being anxious and also feel like it's since I've told people. 16 weeks tomorrow and definitely have a bump so whilst I'm glad I did, also keep wondering if it was the right time.

PeanutButterFalcon · 31/08/2022 21:37

18 weeks, very obvious bump and besides family/my boss I haven’t told people. I didn’t with my first either. I just kind of let people figure it out

Scorpio8 · 31/08/2022 22:44

@Bella9992

I had my 12 weeks felt okay but again having stomach cramps due to constipation and been taking all sorts to go just haven't felt well. A little worried again but still just hoping it's like before.
Apparently baby was laying in my pelvis so maybe that's why.
I do feel like I have movements or flutters it's weird.
I don't know if my imagination and it's just wind. I am 14 weeks now.

Scorpio8 · 01/09/2022 10:04

I probably sound like a broken record on here.

I am still suffering bad constipation which I am eating all sorts to help. Feeling really uncomfortable and I am sure I am feeling the baby move.

I was told the baby laying low in my pelvis.

Anyone feeling like this?

PelicansHB · 01/09/2022 13:06

Hi all, this is my first time doing an actual post on here, after many months of lurking and reading.

After 2 miscarriages last year (5 weeks and 6 weeks but delayed until 10), and participating in a clinical trial with Tommy's earlier this year, I'm now 16+2 and eventually feeling some of the anxiety subside and letting the excitement in a bit! I was on 400mg Cyclogest twice a day up until 16 weeks, and I am so pleased to have finished them now. I'm grateful to have been prescribed it, but it was a constant reminder of the previous troubles we'd had, so it's nice to move away from that and really start looking forward.

I can't help but keep examining myself for a bump now, but I'm not sure that I'm not just looking a bit fatter than usual😂I've experienced nausea and vomiting most of the way so far so I've definitely been eating less, and haven't actually put on any weight. I can only assume that I've either got a weird, flabby-shaped bump forming, it's just a result of everything moving around inside, or I'm just storing all that extra blood just in my tummy!

I've been told by friend Mums that the FB groups from here are great - could I have a link to it please?

Thanks 😊

PelicansHB · 01/09/2022 13:09

Oh, and I had a question - I haven't received anything for my MATB1 yet. I asked about it on MyPregnancyNotes and was told I would be given a form at my 25-28 week midwife appointment. Am I mistaken that this is something we're 'entitled' to throughout pregnancy, and so if I only get the form to complete that late, I'm going to be almost all the way through before I even get my cert?

Bunny2006 · 01/09/2022 13:50

I haven't got my MATB1 and it's in my notes I get it then too. I got the prescription exemption form (forgot the name!) at my 16 week midwife appt. I wasn't sure if they were the same thing, but the MATB1 is for maternity pay etc is it? That says can't be issued more than 20 weeks before the baby's due date
