Thank you, mine has gone hard at the bottom of my stomach, but definitely mixed with some bloat. I look a lot bigger in the evenings than the morning!

Bunny2006 · 22/08/2022 20:12

I had my 16 week appt today (16+5), she wouldn't listen to the heartbeat unfortunately! Last few days I've been feeling popping, and she said no it'd feel like flutters it's probably just gas you have, so overall felt a bit disappointed with it!

Bunny2006 · 22/08/2022 20:13

I feel quite big for my 1st pregnancy, I've had clients at work congratulating me since week 12, like surely I could just be fat you would never assume some one is pregnant?! But this morning I've woke up very round and couldn't do up my work top! My work are being very slow at sorting me maternity uniform and it's frustrating wearing my own clothes as I work in a vets so animals rip them or pee/poop on them!

blibbyblobb · 22/08/2022 21:20

@Bunny2006 i felt a pop half an hour ago! I got excited until i read ur comment that its gas😂🙄.. I was showing early with my son but if this one wants to be small bump that's OK as long as its healthy lol.. I really wish i can listen to heartbeat at 16 weeks, but i have feeling its not offered that early here

Bunny2006 · 22/08/2022 21:40

@blibbyblobb I hear a lot of people describing very early movements as popping/bubbles so I still think it's baby!!

Scorpio8 · 23/08/2022 08:06

I am sure feeling early movements. Like little flutters feels weird but I do still suffer bad constipation.

PeanutButterFalcon · 23/08/2022 14:00

I’ve been feeling popping (like wind) midwife said today it’s probably the baby. With DD I could see her moving and not feel it so this is very different.
also heard HB not sure if it’s because of the bleeding or routine but they did it last time at 16weeks. i don’t seen anyone until 28 weeks now which seems a long time

blibbyblobb · 23/08/2022 15:09

@PeanutButterFalcon oo that's good to hear.. Il keep monitoring if it keeps happening..

Ive had brown spotting today.. Hoping it doesn't go to anything more... I might request to hear heartbeat at 16 week appt as ive had spotting twice since my last scan.. Thankfully its just small and happens once

PeanutButterFalcon · 23/08/2022 15:29

@blibbyblobb have you been checked for an infection? Definitely worth getting checked although mine turned out to not know the cause

blibbyblobb · 23/08/2022 15:49

@PeanutButterFalcon who would i call? I dont have my new midwifes details going to meet her first time next Thursday

PeanutButterFalcon · 23/08/2022 19:40

@blibbyblobb all mine was done through my GP, 111 on weekends. I also called my maternity unit (although they weren’t helpful in my case).

blibbyblobb · 23/08/2022 20:41

@PeanutButterFalcon thank you for your advice 💕 the spotting hasn't returned so i'll wait few more days if not will mention to my MW.. From previous experiences maternity units and EPU here are like if its not red or continuous bleeding they won't see you.

Hope evryone else is getting on well, any strange cravings yet?

Akmc · 23/08/2022 23:05

@PeanutButterFalcon so pleased your appointment went well and you’ve heard your babe’s heart beat! You are right, the gap between appointments seems interminable, I guess at least the scan in a few weeks’ time does help bridge the gap. Did your MW suggest any cause and therefore any possible remedy? @blibbyblobb fingers crossed it stays that way for the forseeable! PS cravings now? I wish! I’m getting blimmin’ heartburn already, which is simply outrageous so soon, absolutely tortured me with my first, looks to be the same again now. Anyone else taking extra iron to hopefully stave off the dreaded iron tablet prescription a few weeks?!

Scorpio8 · 24/08/2022 09:45

Has anyone lost their appetite due to bad constipation?
I am going shopping today to get healthier meals.

Daisychainsx · 24/08/2022 09:54

@Scorpio8 fruit salad for breakfast 👌 not shop bought but home made, I'm not sure if it's juicier or fresher or whatever but it's been a game changer for me! A constant supply of home made lentil and veg soup, and a lot less bread and pasta. I had a considerable 'bump' which disappeared after a few days of eating better, was obviously just bloated beyond belief 😅
Everyone's bodies and digestive systems are different but fresher food and less stodge definitely helped me massively in... that... area👀🤣

Scorpio8 · 24/08/2022 10:01

@Daisychainsx

Thanks so much for advice.

I really don't think I was this bad with my last pregnancy but that was nearly 16yrs ago and I am older lol.

Akmc · 24/08/2022 10:42

@Scorpio8 definitely with @Daisychainsx on the bread thing, it really made a difference when I cut it out re: bloating, blocking up & nausea! Though I already eat quite a bit of fibre being a lentil lover and generally veg heavy, I have had to acquire fybogel to help every fortnight or so, some bodies are just … slow! 😖

maggiebun · 24/08/2022 11:37

@Scorpio8 YES!!!!!! Haven't been properly for over a week and i eat fruit all the time! May have to make soup tonight instead although I'm not a massive fan of it. And yes have hardly ate for about 4 days

Scorpio8 · 24/08/2022 12:18

@Akmc

I don't really eat much bread but eat the wholemeal one.
The doctor did give me Lactulose.
I might need to get another bottle.

Thanks all for advice

Scorpio8 · 24/08/2022 12:24

@maggiebun

It's horrible but I do need to eat more healthier food.
I am really just picking at food..
I need to make soup.

Bella9992 · 24/08/2022 20:21

@Scorpio8 I swear by kiwi! Has helped so much recently and always works with my DD when she's constipated.

I'm getting so hungry and picking a lot too, need to try to make some better choices.

BritInNZ · 25/08/2022 00:27

@Scorpio8 ditto to @Bella9992's recommendation - my midwife recommended kiwi juice. It helped a lot 😊 luckily haven't been suffering too badly since!

botleybump · 25/08/2022 09:01

Finally had my booking appointment yesterday - at 14 weeks!

Midwife has referred me to a physio as I'm suffering with pain in the top of my glutes (always feels like the day after leg day!) which she said could be the start of PGP so wants to get ahead of it since I'm struggling so early.
Also advised to take 150mg of aspirin every day up to 36 weeks as my Mum had preeclampsia with both pregnancies - anybody else had this?

PeanutButterFalcon · 25/08/2022 18:56

@Akmc no she didn’t. Although she said to get checked every single time. I bled a lot (and a lot heavier) with my first and she said some people do but to always phone them. I don’t have a date for the next scan, but do have a few consultant appointments that will fill the gap!

@botleybump i was recommended to with my first (although couldn’t). I think it’s quite a common recommendation now.
Have you had your scan yet?

I've had my 12 week scan, all good on that front - well no call about the bloods in the week since, so they said it was safe to assume the letter would be on its way to confirm low risk.

Reassuring to know it's not unusual, so thank you!
