@sunnyd67 still in a bit of a stress tbh. Constantly overthinking and worrying isn't doing me any good. He has moved more than he was on Friday which is reassuring it's just not as strong. He could kick and make me jump. This weather isn't helping either 🤦 trying to stay cool and drink plenty. Will see what tomorrow brings 🤞 hopefully he just keeps picking up! Or else I will be in and out of that labour ward 🤣🙈 xx

Sassy144 · 18/07/2022 14:40

@Hopingforarainbow27 try not to worry, I know it's really really hard, but I've had cramps and lower back ache on and off my whole pregnancy. At the start I found I had a day of quite uncomfortable cramps a week, then it eased off a bit when I was around 9 weeks and since then I seem to get a few days of it every now and then when I'm having a growth spurt. Every time I worry but so far every time I've been fine, and I'm now 15 weeks (and had a crampy day yesterday!) I've been told by midwife and GP that it's uterus stretching.

arianasky · 19/07/2022 08:31

How is everyone? Hope everyone is ok with this weather 🥵

@arianasky that was a rough night for me don't think i have ever been that hot 🤦😣 not looking forward to today! X

Annny27 · 19/07/2022 09:12

@arianasky not well haha! It was boiling yesterday and only gonna be worse today because it didn't get a chance to cool down last night 😭😭😭

Srx1 · 19/07/2022 09:21

@arianasky it was quite hot yesterday! I work from home luckily but can only imagine how difficult it is for people having to go out and about 🥵 hang in there everyone! ☺️

arianasky · 19/07/2022 09:25

@Srx1 same I worked from home and had a fan and ice cold water too hand, I feel for anyone who have to commute on trains/buses/tubes 🥵 @Skl2021 same it was a tough night can't wait for today/tonight to be over so the weather is back to a normal temp. @Annny27 😭😭😭

Omg absolutely hating it but lucky I've been off work. Doesn't help we haven't got a fan 😅 I had to have a cold shower with my pj ON at some silly time last night. Can't wait for temp to go down tomorrow...

Littlegoth · 19/07/2022 09:39

Please can I join? I’m 4+6. I had 3 miscarriages, then was diagnosed with APS under the recurrent miscarriage clinic, and had a successful pregnancy in 2020. I’m back under the clinic now for close monitoring and enoxaparin, and will be delivered at 37 weeks in March x

sunnyd67 · 19/07/2022 10:39

Partner tested positive for covid this morning. 😭😭

Tofu35 · 19/07/2022 13:07

Argh I've finally seen this new thread! Yay!

@arianasky I posted this on the other thread I'm on but definitely would like a handhold from you guys too. I started properly overheating today (working from home but in a box room so very warm!) and my stomach started gurgling and I started sweating a lot. Just reminded me of my miscarriage last year when I ran a fever, started vomiting and had diarrhea before I miscarried. Big wave of worry swept over me like I haven't had in a few weeks.

Had some frozen peas under my armpits, found a fan, and drank lots of water so feeling better, but feeling a bit wobbled by the whole thing!

Skl2021 · 19/07/2022 13:51

@sunnyd67 it's rife everywhere ATM so don't think we can avoid it completely 😣 hopefully u will stay negative 🤞 try not to worry ♥️ xx

flowergarden16 · 19/07/2022 14:27

@Tofu35 oh I feel for you. I don't know if it wasn't the miscarriage but I had D&V (my son also had a bug) that lined up with then I lost the baby. I'm sure this is just the best: you're much further along. How many weeks now?

I'm also worried about COVID but I think if you are vaccinated and generally healthy you'll be fine. Hope everyone is ok x

Tofu35 · 19/07/2022 14:37

Definitely further along this time @flowergarden16, I'm 19 weeks now, having the 20 wk scan next week so I'm looking forward to that reassurance!

One of my work colleagues told me today that I'm the last person in our team to get it, so I'm doomed. I know they were joking but jeez, don't joke with the pregnant worker!

flowergarden16 · 19/07/2022 14:48

That's good @Tofu35 I had another bout of d&V recently as my son was sick again - had such bad anxiety but had a scan four days later and was all totally fine. So hard not to worry! But I'm sure it's all fine x

barneymcgroo · 19/07/2022 16:00

Hi @Littlegoth, please do join and welcome. Hope you're okay, and surviving the heat if you're in the south.

Littlegoth · 19/07/2022 16:25

We are not doing too bad. I’m in the North, we are at 39. I’ll be in the paddling pool after work 😂

sunnyd67 · 19/07/2022 17:37

@Skl2021 Knowing myself, it would be a miracle if I didn't get it, I always catch everything and anything.. but I hope so, it's so hard to avoid it being in the same house. 😞 I will be fine, I'm just worried what affect temperature will have on my baby and his growth.

Skl2021 · 19/07/2022 17:52

@sunnyd67 hopefully doesn't come to that 🤞 keep positive when I had it I just made sure I drank plenty and used paracetamol when my temp went up but it didn't do it alot. X

arianasky · 19/07/2022 18:17

@Tofu35 oh sorry to hear that scared you, I also had D and V weekend before last and all is fine with baby

OP posts:
sunnyd67 · 19/07/2022 19:55

@Skl2021 I wish it was easier to avoid but you can only do so much. How are you, is baby back to normal movements?

Skl2021 · 19/07/2022 20:28

@sunnyd67 I'm extremely hot 😵 I just can't handle the heat at all I'm terrible! I even went in my kids pool before as I had enough 🤣 his movements have definitely picked up so hoping he doesn't worry me again 🤞 xx

Elspethelf · 20/07/2022 03:40

I got my NIPT back today, everything they test for is low risk. And it’s a boy 💙

sunnyd67 · 20/07/2022 06:42

@Skl2021 I tried using a wet, cold flannel last night, it actually cooled me down a lot, I placed it on my forehead to start with which didn't help, but I then put it on my thigh and it worked a treat having that cold patch on my body 😂😂

@Elspethelf congratulations!! 💙💙

Tofu35 · 20/07/2022 06:50

Thanks @arianasky @flowergarden16

Lovely news @Elspethelf!
