Thought I'd update on my GTT test, the drink was fine after just tasted like Volvic lemon and lime water I actually enjoyed it 😂 I was fine the first hour waiting then started getting hot then out of nowhere my eyes went blurry and my ears started ringing I jumped up infront of everyone and just shouted I'm going to faint 🙈 they took me to a bed gave me ice water and a fan I was sooo embarrassed but I had a feeling I'd faint my bp is so low at the moment. Anyway I managed to complete the test and I've spent the afternoon resting up so just waiting on the results now I'm thinking they won't be good since the test made me pass out 😞

@arianasky your drink sounds lovely 🙌 sorry you didn't feel great but u did the right thing telling them incase u did faint! So don't be embarrassed! Hope you get your results quickly 🤞 keep us updated x

barneymcgroo · 01/09/2022 06:40

@arianasky Poor you! Hope they manage to get the results to you soon. And hope you'll look back on it and raise a chuckle...

arianasky · 01/09/2022 09:31

@Skl2021 I'm looking back at it today and cringing 😬 thank you

@barneymcgroo oh definitely the rest of the waiting rooms faces was enough to make me look back and laugh 😂 🙈

@arianasky there was a women who had it same time as me that had to be taken away as she was the same felt faint! So think it's quite common. Can they not do anything for low blood pressure? X

Skl2021 · 01/09/2022 12:03

@Bridgey8 how u doing Xx

Srx1 · 01/09/2022 13:42

Hi ladies, how many of you have had/planning a 4d scan? I always thought I'd go for one but now that I will have a normal scan in 2weeks when I'm 32w I feel like I missed the ideal window and not sure anymore. Also if baby stays nicely head down I feel maybe I won't be able to see much potentially?

Annny27 · 01/09/2022 15:29

@Srx1 I am not purely because we have so many scans at the moment that I see them all the time anyway. But seeing their little face up close and 4d would be amazing! I think they say 27 weeks is best and up to 32 is okay too

Essexgalhere · 01/09/2022 16:08

PLEASE HELP 😆😭

I know most people in this thread are further along… I’m 4 weeks tomorrow so early days

Any tips for getting through them first few weeks with your rainbow baby? I haven’t relaxed since finding out I’m pregnant 6 days ago. I keep worrying about another loss. Did you keep checking for blood every day? How do you cope with the anxiety in them first weeks before first scan

Srx1 · 01/09/2022 16:50

@Annny27 Yes I agree, it would be great but now I feel like I left it too late and I didn't want to go between my scans with the consultant as I'm waiting to see if the issue will be resolved by then 🤞🏻 I just don't want to regret not going!

@Essexgalhere welcome and congratulations! It is hard at the start, days and weeks really drag but try to distract yourself with other things in the meantime and stay positive, take it day by day. Will you go for an early reassurance scan ?

Essexgalhere · 01/09/2022 17:04

@Srx1 Thank you for replying! I’m going to have a early scan at 6 weeks 1 day on 17th September. Right now I’m constantly worrying I don’t feel pregnant or that I’ll start bleeding I’m so on edge xx

arianasky · 01/09/2022 20:06

@Skl2021 yeah they did say it's a Normal reaction, they've just told me to drink lots of water and be careful with hot baths and showers and getting up to quick

@Srx1 I had one at 26+4 and I'm so glad I did it was a lovely experience he was head down and we got amazing pictures and videos 💙

@Essexgalhere I know it's so hard not to think about it constantly but try to distract yourself somehow. I know some people said they used to tell themselves'Today I am pregnant' to help them take it day by day. Everyone has their own way of coping, some helpful, some probably not so much. Tryyy not to google stuff and focus on today and this moment. Hang in there! Xx

@arianasky ahh I bet it is amazing if you get to see the baby fairly clearly!

Margo34 · 01/09/2022 23:52

I'm currently only 7+2, taking Progesterone, 3 previous losses and I'm in that limbo period of in-between having had earlier loss and losses further along. I've done quite well I think to manage my anxiety so far! But I've had a really short sharp cramp (?) pain this evening and it took my breath away and doubled me over for a few minutes. So I'm now on high alert stations for another MC. Please reassure me and stop me from asking Dr Google (I haven't yet).

Bridgey8 · 02/09/2022 01:07

@Skl2021 sorry been awol! 36 weeks today... jeez! Got my scan on Monday and consultant to work out if he's coming out the sun roof or not and then one more week of work after that - feel exhausted so can't wait for that to end!! How you doing? Xxx

Elspethelf · 02/09/2022 04:21

Well I fell over tonight. I’ll call my Dr first thing in the morning. I didn’t hit my stomach, I fell on my hands and knees and took some skin off but it didn’t feel too bad. Anyone else had this happen?

I’m 21 weeks today and my 20 week scan went brilliantly. I’ve only just started feeling the baby kick and I’ve felt some movement since the fall

barneymcgroo · 02/09/2022 07:20

@Elspethelf I have fallen over, also been kicked in the stomach by my 4 yo. (Accidentally!)

I had a scan the day after being kicked - completely coincidentally - and the sonographer said that there's so much cushioning, she wasn't even a little bit concerned.

But if you're at all anxious about it, I'd go and set your mind at rest.
X

flowergarden16 · 02/09/2022 09:18

@Bridgey8 eeeeek congrats!!! Hope Monday goes well x

Skl2021 · 02/09/2022 10:06

@Bridgey8 yes your a few days ahead of me it's getting real now how close we are 🙈 are you organized cos I'm not 🤣🙊 good luck with your appointment Monday I'm at hospital for another scan aswell. Do you have a preference which birth u want? I'm also really uncomfortable and I'm not sleeping so I'm ready for baby to come out now 😣 xx

Bridgey8 · 02/09/2022 12:36

@Skl2021 I don't really mind on the birth - it's the not knowing that is stressing me out as I don't feel like I can properly plan! I'm half organised but still lots to do. When do you finish work?

Skl2021 · 02/09/2022 12:42

@Bridgey8 thats the same with me as I'm having weekly scans to see what's going on I feel like it will be sprung on last minute! Haven't had any talks of birth plans it's just like a wait and see 🙈 I have loads to do feeling overwhelmed! I finished a month ago and I'm using my holidays 😃 although haven't been able to rest as it's summer holidays and I have two boys at home 🙈 feel like baby stuff has been pushed to the side so I can focus on these and get them ready for school etc. X

Elspethelf · 02/09/2022 17:20

Thanks @barneymcgroo , I did get a scan. They wanted to check on my placenta. Everything looks good

barneymcgroo · 02/09/2022 17:41

@Elspethelf Oh good! Everything goes through your mind, all the what ifs, and you know it's probably okay, but just worth checking. Glad to hear you're both doing fine. Can't believe you're already 20 weeks!

sunnyd67 · 02/09/2022 21:10

@barneymcgroo @Skl2021 I can't believe how close you are to giving birth!!! ❤️❤️

@Elspethelf I'm glad you are okay and your scan went well!

Skl2021 · 02/09/2022 21:35

@sunnyd67 it's scarily close! I'm so unprepared! Think I had everything organized by this point with my other two. I think I'm way to layed back this time. If he comes early I'm screwed! 🙈 Haven't even started a hospital bag and still got lots to get for baby 🤦 x
